Brings back so many memories from my childhood. Great to see this and hear the sounds. A gem of a game x

omfg. I used to play this at like 6 years old. this brought back so many memories. I loved this game. we had it free with our Packard Bell desktop.

+Conor MacCloud Same. Amazing was't it. I couldn't have been older than about 6 when we got our Packard Bell haha. Nuts how nostalgia gets you.

Heh. The company I was working for back in 1999 also had this game included with their Packard Bell PC. I had to get to work by bus and always got there an hour early, so I was allowed to play this on the work PC for half an hour until work started :)

Unbelievable shout mate, I bugged my dad about where our copy of this game was for years and years, never being able to fully describe what the game was called, or how we even got a hold of it. In fact, I began to question whether it ever existed, but now I've found out... we had a Packard Bell too. My major memory of this is finding it impossible to sign players, although I could have just been a dumb 6 year old kid.

No matter how graphics looks like today - the playability is more important !

Absolutely loved this game. Played it virtually all of 1999 while putting off GCSE revision. Won the Champions League with Walsall and had the stadium rebuilt. It had an 80 000 capacity with standing terraces on three sides! Happy days.

I need this game back in my life 🥺❤️

Such a good game. Played this a lot with my brother. I still have the game and now I am in mood to play it again.

I liked the Championship Manager more

i have played this for years. i was playing it on new year's eve 99-00, more preoccupied with getting the title with parma then the y2k shit or anything else people were hyped about. now playing new star soccer manager and getting more or less the the same vibe.

Anyone remember how many football manager games we used to have back then? CM, Player Manager, Ultimate Soccer Manager, FA Premier League Manager, World Football Manager, Uefa Manager,.. Miss those days.

We only got a ripped version with no music... hope some day they will republish the game to get all the complete features.

The best Football Manager game ever, too bad it does not work on 64bit Windows

Such memories playing this as a 9 year old having absolutely no idea what going public with your company meant other than it gave you a load of money 😂

Did anyone here play Player Manager 2 Extra? I played that game like crazy

The funniest thing was that it included bungs and match fixing and even though you'd always get caught i still loved doing it😂😂

Used to love how unrealistic this game was, I was in charge of a team bottom of table and could sign quality players on loan lol

You can't. You need to emulate an old windows 98/xp machine.

Unfortunately this game would require a windows machine as it was not released for dos (so not compatible to dosbox either). You need to install a windows with a virtual box or similar...

Nevilles better headers than Henning Berg and equal to Pallister. Butt on same level as Keane. Someone at the studio didnt watch a lot of football :P

I made Manchester City big before the real club did, and my digital Paul Dickov and Kieron Dyer had better careers under my rule than they ever made for themselves

Hehe use to happen with those simulation with our home squads. I remind I once made Notts Forest winning many leagues in a C64 game called FOOTY 2... who else remind that game?
