    I like this trailer and is the 1st time I see a review of it. For storage purpose I would buy those foldable boxes and put them in the front shelve. Then secure the with some kind of net. Maybe create a lip with a piece of formica so the boxes don't slip or fall of the shelf easily. On the roof I would install the biggest Thule cargo box for my fishing gear.

    For a price of it - 25.000$ CAD it has absolutely everything! It’s big enough to comfortably throw canoe 🛶 on top, many small trailers come with only electric heater, this has both! For normal off-road you don’t need 45k+ all aluminum hardcore body, this is strong enough unless you want to do some crazy rock climbing thing with a lot of body flex… I like it!

    25.000 cad ain’t much nowadays, you can get full size unit for it, sure, but go take a look how crappy they are made, everything falling apart. Similar units as this one usually starting at 35k, smaller units are actually harder to made then bigger ones, and similar work hours to do so…..full size unit can be a problem in back country.

  • @nabob14

    @nabob14

    3 ай бұрын

    Smaller units like this are not harder to make at all and certainly aren't more expensive to build. They have less equipment to install (no shower, no bathroom sink, no toilet), the physical size of components is smaller and able to be installed by one person at easier working heights (instead of 2 sometimes 3 or 4 people). Not to mention, there is LESS stuff to add cost... literally less material used to build it, less wood, less screws, less aluminium, less steel, less glass, less plastic, less fabric etc etc. You've fallen for this "it costs more because it's smaller" bs that many manufacturers say. When these sit on the lot for a year or so (at least past peak season), they get discounted 5 to 10k... which means they are still making a profit at those discounts.

    @@nabob14 materials for rv factory ain’t biggest cost…Time is. It takes same time to put together small teardrop compared to lower class mid size unit (with your adored toilet and shower). You paying for upkeep of plant, paycheques of people working on it, lady who’s cleaning floors and fat chicks slacking in office, then transport and dealers cut what also have to pay office fatties……that’s why small rv ain’t cheap!

    @grottu again, these are built literally in the same building as the larger units that are the same price or cheaper!! Just a follow up. I bought this camper for my Christmas present. Found it in Maryland for a few thousand less. 2024 model brand new. I am nothing short of pleased with this purchase so far. I've only had time for winter camping obviously, but I like this one over the smaller tear drops because it has some wiggle room for mods and comes standard with just about all the options you would want, including instant hot water. It is a bit heavier tongue weight than the smaller teardrops. This is not for towing with cars. But towing 2000lbs dry is still great for midsize trucks. I use a Ranger. The suspension upgrade is what makes this one worth more than the standard 12 ROK. Unlike what Peter described in the video, it IS an off road, deep trail rut camper and has some rock crawling capability. Also, unlike what he said, even though you can take it anywhere, it belongs way out there in the middle of nowhere.

    I have watched several of your videos and I think you do a great job in explaining the product you are reviewing. My one suggestion is that you are looking at your watch often during the recording. I would suggest you silence your notifications on your Apple Watch. It is very distracting to the viewer, at least it is distracting to me. Great job otherwise.

  • @PeterLoweOne

    @PeterLoweOne

    9 ай бұрын

    That's fair. My watch is my view finder. It remotely let's me see what you see, so sometimes it's helpful for me to see that while filming. It also allows me to start and stop my recording, and occasionally I begin speaking too soon after activating the "record" function, so I don't have the ability to edit that out in the take. So it's not that I'm checking notifications, it's that I'm working alone, and the watch is a key piece of the process of producing these videos.

    Braxton Creek seems to have had a lot of quality issues around 2020-2021, just based on internet reviews. Is there any reason why this model or their current production models in general should be more trusted?

  • @PeterLoweOne

    @PeterLoweOne

    9 ай бұрын

    I think internet reviews for all brands will show quality issues. Nobody goes camping and immediately gets home to praise their camper. The best advice that I can give is to buy from a great dealer, and spend time examining the details. Manufacturers that don't take care of the small details will often miss bigger issues too.

    Haha. There are a few things that North American RV manufacturers do that I'd like to see updated. The innovation in this industry lags other industries over the past 30 to 40 years. Having said that, they still offer a great lifestyle! The industry knows that it's less about their product and more about what it allows us to do. Having said all of that. Yes, better graphics, some more design innovation... All of those things are things I'd like to see in the industry.

In Brazil we have the most expensive taxes in the world, our cars and gasoline are the most expensive. on the planet, around here we only have 3 companies that only manufacture motorhomes and the prices, believe me, are more expensive than a house, at least 10 times more expensive than what you pay out there, damn taxes from the dirty government of this country.
