    Great to hear!!! Quick note: Someone just let me know that for skirts, pants, and shorts you can go strictly by the hip measurement for all points. I used the bust measurement for the waist points, which means my skirt must be a tad higher than the model’s. So, however you like it!! Let me know how it turns out!

  • @Sew-Happy

    @Sew-Happy

    It seems you are right!!!! 😮 thank you for mentioning. Since I have used the bust measurement for the waistline, this means that my skirt is sitting at/near my true waist, which is why it still fits fine. I will amend in next video.

    I had a similar system when MUCH younger in 1970s. It was in a folder with yellow edges - may have been the same system. Question - if using bust measurement, how does the system deal with things like smaller high bust / FBA, narrow shoulders, sway back etc? Would I still have to make all those adjustments?

  • @Sew-Happy

    @Sew-Happy

    2 ай бұрын

    Good question… you would still need to make those specific adjustments, yes. For me, since I’m only 5’0, I’m always having to adjust the length of skirts and pants.

  • @Soniamceachnie

  • @Sew-Happy

    I did not make any adjustments!! 🎉 But just like any pattern, for this system you may need to change hem lengths, adjust sleeve lengths, make sway back adjustments, etc … to meet your specific needs.

    There are two distinct kits - the Regular which starts at 50cm/19.6" and goes up to 140cm/55" - and covers most sizes/shapes for Men, Women, Children and has speciality designs for Maternity, Fuller Figured, Bridal, Formal and Casual wear. Templates are printed in Yellow - to match the Yellow/White Tape Measure. There is a Classic Collection of 6 Special Editions for the Fuller Figure in this range too, as well as a Vintage Edition, and collections for Men and Children. The XL/XXL kit starts at 110cm/43.5" and goes up to 170cm/67". Templates are printed in Blue - to match the Blue Tape Measure. While there is a cross-over in the sizes they each cover, the two kits are not interchangeable, as the scaling of the specialist Tape Measures is different for each kit.
