I have been a guide full time since 1978 so let me tell you if you want break downs constantly using a large outboard. If you want zero engine problems using a Chevrolet marine 383 small block stroker or a 454 big block or a Diesel marine engine that are now in sleds. Woolridge jet boats is using an all-Aluminum Chevrolet 6.2 liter marine engines this would be around the 400 ci engines so well liked for toque needed for jet pumps like to 212 Hamilton and excellent pump. Since the rebuild of my 30-foot jet boat to 30 feet and using a Chevrolet Big Block 402 for 3 years now a single problem compared to $30.000 paid on repairs for a Mercury 225 EFI . The lying cheating Marinas and mechanics are bat crap crazy to deal with when auto parts stores have Chevrolet parts. Any outboard never will put out the power of a Chevrolet V-8

The dip shit son of guide Jack Glass I watched Drag racing another idiot Daddy bought Guide boat caption in the Willamette channel or the Daddy bought Guide boat caption smoking dope in a bong! The dope smoke guide won't be doing that anymore after I called * 24 direct line to the Coast Guard and in the call to the Coasty email was given so I sent a photo of the pot smoker using the bong to the Coast guarded who caught the dip shit in 2 hours after the call. All of these idiots' boats are all stickered up by company's names who haven't a clue who these idiots are and their names on the boats as they do stupid crap with clients on board.

I started my guiding in Oregon in 1978 and then advanced by services to Alaska offering fishing & Hunting. After years of nothing but hellish problems with these large outboards breaking downs and lying cheating dishonest mechanics and marinas, I am done with large outboards so my 30-foot jet boat main power is a 1969 Chevrolet Big Block 402 @ 500 Hp ! powering a Berkeley jet pump and now in 3 years not a single engine problem for the old rebuilt Chevy 402 that had been on my 1971 Chev 3/4 truck I ran for 15 years until wore out needing a rebuild. Never again will I run large outboards that break down often - underpowered - bad marinas and mechanics to deal with and getting parts can talk a month to get unlike a Chev engine any auto parts stores sell the parts to get you back to work, and I will say this who cares if the part isn't a marine part just get me and my boat back to work !. Well know is all large outboards have an end of usefulness at around 2000 hours and by 1 year they start to have major break down problems. Buying a jet boat like this look into a Diesel engine which are being used or and all Aluminum marine Chev engine block like Woolridge is using in their jet boats in a 6.2 liter. I've been in Alaska with clients in camp 150 miles to the road system when my Mercury 225 EFI broke down and it took us 3 days to get back on the trolling motor. (Never again will this happen to me) So just sharing some advice to new boat buyers.
