They started out pretty neat, but then deviated from the promise of "simple." I also wish I could tell what was being done, or what "problem" was being solved/addressed. Definitely interesting, though, and a fun way to waste some time online 😂

Last third of this is shows many bodges. A big hole in the wood flooring is filled with foam then one stroke of the brush the foam matches the colour including the woodgrain?? Skirting board fitted on an outer corner had a gap so big you could fit a pencil in it.

The vast majority of these “fixes” and “hacks” look like they’d be used in renovations by people who live in cardboard boxes under the bridge 🤦‍♂️ Also, loads of them aren’t real. Also there are jump cut in using lemon to remove rust from the drill bit, at 18:07 - 18:08. Also if this lemon trick worked - it would remove the rust from the tip of the drill bit that was inside the lemon. But he used most likely sanding paper to hold around the drill bit or something where removing rust from the tip of the drill bit was too must of a pain. All of there 5 mins crafts are such gross and nasty looking fixes. 🤢

Wow. I Don’t mean to be disrespectful but diy will always look diy if it’s not a destroy it yourself project. Professionals do not use many of these hack downs.

Who wants metal chips in their paint?... And ensuring the paint will dry out

The holes would be a good asset for previously used paint cans (repurposed) and washed out after you finish. The aluminum cans hang easier from a ladder on a hook vs the plastic ones. This is a professional Painters tip! You pre drill before you put paint in the can. You also polish away the metal shavings and wipe down BEFORE ADDING PAINT! When finished with the project simply pour the paint back in the 5 gallon or 1 gallon bucket and use a rubber hammer to close it up. Useful tips from a Pro!

The holes are made with a 16d framing nail and a sharp, quick hammer blow. Just enough to punch through the bottom of the U channel the can lid fits into when closed. I only put 3 or 4 holes together on the side opposite from where I am pouring. I always pour on the front label side. The back side has all the technical details and it's dumb to cover up them up. Oh, those holes won't cause the paint to dry up at all, it you put the paint lid back on when you are finished. The metal filings will eventually cause the color of the paint to turn more pink or red over time in the bucket. If the metal filing gets on a surface that is freshly painted it will develop an iron spot the Japanese potters call Goma, or sesame seed. Intense coloration from the oxidation of Ferrous ions. Or you could have a sprayer malfunction in the pump or painttip. Or if a floor is painted and the metal shard would cut a bare foot walking along, that person might get tetanus and die unless you are vaccinated. Rust won't kill you but Tetanus bacteria can kill you. So don't drill your paint cans. Painting is dangerous work. Think of all the painters who are dead. Some may have drilled holes into their paint cans. Think about it. Never gonna give you up. RR

... The part where they use a pencil tip to plug a hole in what looks to be a gas line or yellow garden hose. Wouldn't that Graphite or lead contaminate whatever flows through the pipe or hose.

98% of what is shown on this video is unsafe, plain ignorance, useless and a complete waste of time to watch let alone take on as a project. There are many better things to do with you time.
