They are super nice. I'm wearing one right now!

The dark grey heather and other heather colors are a polyester cotton blend. The solid colors are 100% cotton, and scratchy until washed. They do get softer, but I prefer the heather options.

Love the shirts! ❤I also agree on the Cotton Heritage comment. Had same impression from my tested. Congrats on opening your license store! Amazing 😻

Super helpful, thank you! I just received 2 samples of the tall Maars tumbler and unfortunately both have scratched just being handled by a couple people looking at them. I thought I’d made a mistake using a full wrap, but see that you did as well. I’d be super curious to see an update after you use them!

omg yes I want to see more of these videos! I LOVE the velveteen blanket, I don't like shiny, but they added a comment: 'NB! Thickness of fabric may vary'. That could be why some customers love it and others complain. I would love it if Printfull made a thicker version of the velveteen blankets.

You are so welcome! We are VERY picky about our print providers! SwiftPOD, for example, has been absolutely HORRIBLE. I cannot believe some of the items they've been shipping to customers.

I’ve powered through the first half of it already. It’s really good. Some of the stuff I already knew, but I think that it’s the perfect balance of thorough but not overwhelming for people new to Etsy and POD. 😊

This was a great review. Thank you for unboxing all these products! I took your advice and signed up for the bootcamp. I noticed that someone else commented about the white outline being from Canva. If that is not the issue, the bootcamp says that printify adds a white underbase on dark backgrounds that can show through and give tips on how to compensate at the end of module 7. :) Thank you for all that you both do. I am learning so much from you!

@@StarlaMoore Yes! Lots of great tips on how Printify works with Etsy and setting up the integration. I liked that the perspective of the information seemed based in the aggregated data they have collected from sellers. AND I also like your video on using erank. I've watched some of your other videos but this one was a really good fast run through so I got a few more good tips from it. Thank you and good luck with your design!

Unfortunately mystery boxes aren't allowed on Etsy (though sellers DO still sell them). You have to disclose what the items are. So I wouldn't want to make a video like this and give other sellers the impression that this is something that can be sold on Etsy. Wouldn't want them to get in trouble. We do frequently show off handmade items we have purchased during the Friday Bean though! We used to do big unboxing videos where viewers would send items to us but unfortunately our house is SO SMALL that we could no longer continue accepting items in the mail. Even when we gave items away, some things were made special for us. We didn't want to give these items away but now we are completely out of room in our tiny house. 🤐 So we will likely just continue showing off items we personally buy for ourselves when the occasion calls for it. Marc actually just upgraded my engagement ring and it's coming from a very small Etsy seller. So we will absolutely be sharing that seller soon!

Me again 😂 Congratulations on obtaining the licensing for your products! I'm interested in using some trademarked phrases for my niche but unsure about how to request approval. Can you share your experience or recommend resources for reaching out and what to include in the request?

You'll need to check the USPTP TESS trademark database to find the owner of each individual phrase. From there, you'll just need to email them each to see if they offer the ability to license.

ug I love the tumblers but they are sooo expensive eeek! Super cute though.

I think the white outline thing might be caused by Canva's new Magic background remover. The old background remover doesn't do that. Also, thank you for letting us know about the tackiness of the slim tumblers. I'll be adding a disclaimer to my own listings.

p.s. Keep a lookout in your PO Box for a little gift I sent you. :)

You might need to add a bleed to your image so the color goes beyond the edge because when those plotting machines cut, it's never exact and the white shows around the edge. The printing company should tell you that, though.

I was just about to do POD. I just signed up after making a lot to designs. Now they're kicking etsy shops down over mockups. Not just a few shops but a lot. I can't afford to be kicked off etsy and no one seems to know what's going on or how we should proceed.

I suggest defining your niche. Digital planners are a saturated market on Etsy. However, digital planner is not a niche. Decide upon a certain type of digital planner or a certain aesthetic of planners. do you think it is the SwifPOD that is bad or the Gildan 1800? I have several sweatshirts in my shop on the Gildan 1800 from Awkward Styles. Wonder if I should try to change the shirt. I have Teeshirts from Awkward styles and they were good but haven't got a sweat sample.

Swift POD has been badly printing ALL of their clothing items, from what I'm seeing in the Printify Rockstars group. I'm personally not a fan of how Gildan sweatshirts feel (a little scratchy) but that's just me. Just be sure to order at least one sample. Especially if you're unsure of the quality.

One thing different is that the skinny tumbler can only be hand washed vs the regular tumbler can be machine washed

Hi Starla! I’m not sure if you’ve seen that some pod sellers have had listings taken down for using mock-ups purchased on Etsy. The Etsy messages are stating that you cannot use stock images and that they are violating the handmade policy. Could you let us know if Etsy has changes its policy or if this is just a glitch since this is very concerning for both pod and mock-up sellers!

Unfortunately I know as much as everyone else at this point. It could be a bug. It could be something more. But until we get direct clarification from Etsy, all we can do right now is wait and see what happens.

I'm late to the show, but I have a SwiftPOD question - does anyone know if they've ironed out their issues in the past several weeks? I'm new to POD, and I ordered a sample Gildan 18000 Sand just over a month ago, in late April '24. I was not wildly impressed. The print was slightly rotated, and I was seeing a lot of those white outlines in my designs. This really sucks, because they offer everything I want - a great selection of colors, good pricing, package inserts, sleeve printing. But going off that sample I received, if not for the above-mentioned pros, I'd have written them off completely. My other option would have been Monster Digital, but from what I've been finding, they're having similar issues. So yeah, before I waste too much $$ on another round of samples, if anyone has any more up-to-date insight or info on what's going on with SwiftPOD, I'd be eternally grateful.

the white on the tumblers is most likely their fault. They print white first to make the print more vibrant then lay the actual print on top. If they don't match up correctly you get a line.
