This is the best review I've seen so far about Oontz BT speakers. Great work man! Now, I know which one to buy.

I'm here because my Angle 3 that I bought in 2018 has died on me. The micro USB charging port went bad, otherwise the speaker was still working perfectly. Traveled all over the world with it & the only problem I ever had was with a loose micro USB port that stopped working. I'm glad to see they now have USB-C ports. March 2023 Update: Just received my new Angle 3. I can confirm the new ones do have USB C for charging and a 1/8 stereo jack. The build quality is the same as my 5 year old Angle. The sound on the new unit is good right out of the box. There’s slightly more bass on my old unit but tit also has 5 years of breaking in. $33 shipped to Mexico. Thanks Amazon! :-)

Thanks so much for going to all of the trouble -- and the expense -- to make this. I travel a lot and carry around a Solo, which, despite its size, is actually loud enough to drown out the constuction going on next door. (I always put it on a shelf, or in the corner of a room, facing toward the wall, so that the bass sounds more pronounced.) Prior to watching this video, I had no idea which of the others might be worth the extra weight/space they would take up in my carry-on. I also had no idea that the Pro doubles as a power bank, which, combined with the sound quality in the video, makes it perfect for me. Keep up the great work!

The best Oontz speaker is by far the Oontz angle 3XL Ultra. I bought it when it first released and I still have it to this day. Thing is sick. I have NO idea why they discontinued it it is such a great speaker. So many speakers these days are All bass and lower the mids and trebles a bit. The XL Ultra is the ultimate solution for all these bass heavy speakers these days. Everything is all balanced out and perfect. It's so perfect not only does it not Have an EQ customization option it doesnt even Need one. ❤

I 100% agree! I dropped and broke my 3XL Ultra and am so sad, they discontinued and now i have the subpar Angle 3 Pro.

Angle 3 seems best. But the Solo is appealing for podcasts - save my device battery and keep my device away from high humidity (shower in bathroom). Angle 3 also has Bluetooth 5 which is a little appealing vs the 4.2 on some others.

Great channel. Can you do a review on mini Bluetooth speakers? JBL Clip 4, Miatone, Soundcore mini, UE Wonderboom 3, Sony XB-13, etc . Would like to know which is louder and clearer that is also small and portable.

Been an Oontz fan for many years and you just confirmed my suspicions haha. I had the Angle 3 and then the 3 Ultra and I always felt that even though the Ultra had more bass and richer sound, it wasn’t as loud as the 3. Gotta love the 3 lol… They’re indestructible too!

I have suddenly lost the use of on of my two 3 Ultra speakers. It's charged and the light comes on, but it's not playing with the other speaker. Any ideas? TIA

just get the soundcore motion +...or any soundcore bt speaker...they deliver best bang for your buck imo!...i expected better from Cambridge really! but then again...for the money...its likely good for the low pricing! As almost always...you get what you PAY for...but sometimes they rely on their respective brand name history to inflate prices. Sometimes smaller companies try harder and over deliver so...whatever fits budget and expectation is king! We do enjoy a huge selection to pick from though! Thanks for the video!

Why do I like the sound volume of the Angle 3 versus the Ultra? Ultra seems to have a weaker volume...? So, it seems that I'm just gunning for the Angle 3 and the Pro, then. I really loved the Angle 3 when I borrowed my brother's. If memory serves me right. He's had it since 2016?

Could you compare speaker #2 and #3 to xiaomi's mi portable speaker 16w????

I bought the two Angle 3 one for me and one for my wife there great but my wife tried to charge it and bent the pins, as she tried to force the connector flipped around, and now i'm going to buy a replacement possibly the pro.

i hate that the 3 sounds clearer than the 3 ultra lol that sucks! my laptop speakers blew out so i grabbed a 3ultra that arrives tomorrow and i like the clearer ones just by this review but maybe adjusting my itunes equalizer will fix that and allow me to hear it clearer with treble boost. When not playing music did you notice any distortion like that buzzing sound some speakers make when not playing anything but the volume is still turned up?

Actually unlike the ultra(#3) which can pair in STEREO left/right, i am not sure the angle 3 regular (#2) is actually in stereo with 2 of them, but just dual sound

Great video! Could you do an Oontz BT speaker comparison using Classical, Full Orchestra or Opera music tracks? It is difficult to find a review that does not use contemporary pop songs as benchmarks. Thanks for considering.

Thank you for your feedback. I actually have considered an in some of my speaker test reviews. I do use classical music as well however, to be honest, it’s not feasible to redo the same video to include other types of songs because of the amount of time it takes to create each video and also, a midnight perform as well since same content already exist. For example, this video took me about 20 hours to make. Cheers

I purchased a second Angle 3 (not ultra) this week to go with an Angle 3 I purchased last year. I wasn't sure I could pair both of them together (thought that might require the ultra model). How well does the surround mode work with the Ultra? I tried connecting 4 Pro's together and it was NOT real surround sound, they all outputted the same channels.

I don't think it really offers surround... it's just true wireless paring

I own 2 and 3. 3 is louder and has better sound. But the smaller one is not bad. Also, Cambridge Soundworks makes Oontz, and they know a thing or two about sound.

this company does not get the love they deserve. they compete with the big names for a fraction of the price

Will one Angle 3 pair with another Angle 3❓ If they do pair, do they actually pair *in stereo*❓ In amazon reviews this is unclear. Some people say the Angle 3 does not stereo pair, and I haven’t seen anyone say that it definitely does - though you do in your review… 7:32 thanks for the very helpful comparison review.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. When I bought my Oontz Angle 3 (3rd Gen) back in Nov 2020, there was a Gen 4 as I recall that you could buy 2 of to get stereo separation. Now I'm thinking I could just get another Angle 3 and that might work. On the other hand, it may just be the ultra that has the ability to do this, so I'm a bit confused, also. Angle 3 has actually gone down in price since I got mine, so I may just get another one and try it.

OontZ Angle 3 sounds much better.

oontz angle 3 has a very exaggerated bass, sounds messy. choose solo or angle 3 pro!

It only allows you to pair to identical model, so you for example you can pair the Ultra only with another Ultra.

The ultra has ultra low volume! I regret buying it. Rather get the oontz angle 3…. Sounds better and louder. I’m so disappointed

I agree. Even though it has a higher wattage, but more of that is for driving the bigger driver for better low range but you will lose loudness
