Wouldn't mind you reviewing the old versions. Been a long time fan of god of war but never got the figures. when you do a best of or a caparison review its always good. So yea.

I would love to hear what you have to say about the previous figures. I'd also like to see how you go about tightening the bicep joints.

If you want to have more articulation for the head, pop it off, then put it back on but not until it plugs in so that's a little loose but you'll have more articulation

They should make a God of war 1 kratos action figure with spartan armor with regular skin and the spartan shield and sword and then the level 1 blades of chaos just plain grey

I'd be down for new figures for sure. The figures NECA did for 1 and 2 were ok at the time, but I'd love some updated ones

I have the black and armor version so I will pick this one up.

hey guys, my figure is identical to his, but the wings from the boots of hermes are not dark red, but light pink. Do you guys think it's a bootleg or just a failure in neca's production?

+DrakoToyz I actually just use the mic on my camera, which is just a cheap Sony Handycam. I have been running the audio through the Compressor effect in Audacity on my last few reviews to help even out the volume levels some.

You should review the previous ones.

I have one neca ultimate kratos, I don't know if it's bootleg or not, how can you tell if it is a bootleg? Mine has the same sculpt & detail as yours.

How would you tighten those bicep swivels? I have a few NECA figures with loose swivels so maybe I could try your method.

This figure is amazing, but like always, QC got the best of me. I bought one, the hip joint was defective and was broken right out of the box. Returned it, got a second one with fantastic paint aps, love it, posed him once, the opposite leg broke off just by moving it. Ordered a third one from Neca and i'm going to return the second one. Third times the charm I guess.

Yeah. I even did a "video review" of the picture from the back of Tacit Ronin's box and had a nice little rant

9:17 you put right hand protector upside down.

the figure is awesome. The issue I had was that he couldn't hold the gauntlets properly with out dropping his hands. So, I just ended up giving the gauntlets to my marvel legends Hercules.

I don't know much about God of War, but I remember when the old figures came out and I've seen plenty of bootlegs since then! This doesn't seem like much of an ultimate Kratos without the big ass sword and the flaming whip/chain effect pieces, I'm kinda bummed he didn't come with either of those.

+dirtylivin07 The chain blades would have been cool, or at least make the figure able to use the old ones. I don't remember Kratos ever using a giant sword in God of War 3 (though it's been a while since I played it), so NECA may be off the hook there.

Wouldn't necessarily call this figure the ultimate Kratos. He doesn't have the wings, Hades'/Hephaestus' blades, the bow, etc.

Peter Parké That's a bit much. If they really wanted to make the "ultimate" Kratos, they should have given him the Blades of Exile, Claws of Hades, and the Blade of Olympus. That would have been better. But I do agree, in comparison to the other ultimate figures, this one isn't so ultimate.

I know it's a bit late, but Big Bad Toy Store is pretty good for international viewers.

NECA's best by far.

The blades ARE the blades of Chaos. The Blades of Athena had a bigger red eye. If the blade look like chiseled stone then it's the GOW1 weapons. It suck that they got the wrong weapons for this. Not that they dont look good but it annoy me that I know they are the GOW1 blades on a GOW3 figure. The guys who made Soul Caliber screwed his weapon even worse. It has the blade of chaos blade but uses the blade of Athena handle.

+chamoo232 They're really the Blades of Athena not the Blades of Chaos. Though they are similar with the Blades of Chaos, NECA got the design from GOW2 for their previous releases which means it is the BOA and kinda reused it for this figure. In GOW3, however, the developers changed the design of the BOA, which is the one you described (bigger red eye). Simply put, They made a GOW3 Kratos with a GOW2 BOA. Still a great fig though :)

+Voncarlo Go-Aco No the change happened in GOW2. Hares took back his blades of Chaos at the end of GOW1 and Athena gave the blades of Athena but in GOW1 they were just recolored versions since they were only used for the last fight. In GOW2 they had the red eyes. i.ytimg.com/vi/J9nqvhXuXZM/maxresdefault.jpg screenshot of the beginning of GOW2 for proof. This must mean that Neca messed the GOW2 figure as well by having it use the GOW1 weapons.
