Ultimate KOTA Food Factory I Eating with IIT Aspirants in Uncle Mess l Kota students eating places
Located on the bank of river Chambal in Rajasthan, the city of Kota was once famous for stones and saree. But today it is renowned for being the biggest engineering and medical coaching hub in the country. Recently, TVF's hugely popular show Kota Factory Season 1 and 2 have acquainted us with the stark realities of this educational hub. The series has struck a chord with many of us. So during our visit to Kota we had embarked on an intriguing journey to get a sneak peek into the lives of the industrious students residing here and discover some of their favourite eateries in the city. With the mushrooming of coaching centers, the local economy has seen a great rise across all sectors. The foodscape too has witnessed a great jump with the emergence of a number of restaurants and messes catering to the needs of the students.
Along with our host Saransh from Parindon ka Safar, we checked out some of the most famous places out here, some of which have been subtly represented in the Kota Factory series. The first one was Lala Tea Stall which is a lifeline for students and locals in Indira Vihar. The second place was Sreenath Pav Bhaji whose pav bhaji and masala pulao are a great pocket friendly options for the students on days they don’t want to have mess food.
Next we visited two popular messes named Uncle Jee Mess and Shri Gajanand Mess. Both of them serve extensive thali for lunch and dinner. Students can opt for their monthly or daily service. The platter was a balanced affair with homestyle dishes. Here we got to interact with a few aspirants who shared stories about their academic routine and life in general. Coincidentally, some of them reminded us of the characters from Kota Factory Season 1.
Next we visited Iram Juice Center for ginger coffee. They also serve a wide range of fresh juices. This was followed by a plate of steamed chicken momo from Thapa momos and a decadent brownie from Fun Zone.
Next we headed to Delhi Spice Hut for a wonderful chicken biryani which is a hot favourite amongst the students. Saransh also recommended us to try the rolls from Street 69, another bustling joint.
Finally we ended this memorable tour with paratha from Vikas Paratha and chai from Azad tea stall. These two places too are a great hit with students who are looking for budget eats.

I think this videos is not about food tour of KOTA it's more than that as you tried to show the real life of students who's doing preparation here for their career by living away from their families .And I must say the way you communicated with students was really amazing because no one asked them such points as for others people they are only customers nothing else but some how you have touched their feeling and try to know that what's going on in their mind while doing preparation like that peer pressure, family expectations and self confidence etc. I appreciate you sir & your efforts for doing this work as you showed that truth in your own style, this why I loved to watch your videos. This vlog/series of DFW is one of the best till now. The atmosphere, the food, the student life, the interaction with students, etc etc.. this vibe can get anyone into their school/college life memories. Completely loved it. Great job anubhav sir. Stay safe and keep vlogging ❤
There’s a huge difference between Delhi Food walks channel & other channel. Like other channels just show off the butter, cheese Meanwhile DFW shows the real authenticity of the place. The culture richness.❤️❤️
I listened to that student who said that if one is not selected you won't like to come back to kota or think about the place. To every student who gives his/her 100 percent and is not selected, it's not the end of world. I got selected in mbbs around 22 years back and many of my friends were not selected but all are settled very well and are enjoying their life and we still in many years come together and remember those days when we used to prepare for exams. When you look back all the hardships, failure and successes are just a landmark in your journey and those should be left as such, just milestones and not destination.
Man so emotional to see these streets again ❤️ I was there from 2016-18. Successfully cleared Advanced. But I miss Kota. Especially Lala Tea stall❤️❤️ all the best to all young aspirants. Enjoy and work hard.

I m impressed by the cleanliness and food of the mess. Malai Kofta, Rajma, gazar matar aloo, w salad and roti unlimited. This is too good even IIT Delhi used to give poor quality food back in the day and other hostels were just pethetic of colleges.. This is quality right there.

I would say this Episode in DFW channel is the best episode till date ever this episode shows some of the amazing foods in Kota along with their culture and also gives emotional touch as well specially on 27:00 min the words from that Aspirant is so true and like always Anubhav Sir I would really recommend all the students out there should watch this video. 🙏

Thankyou for this video/series sir. I have studied in Kota myself, used to go to Uncle Mess and I have to say it was best mess out there in kota that I have tried during my time. Such a beautiful coverage by you sir, it gave me the flashbacks to my time that I had in Kota. Man, I really miss those kachoris with chatni/kadhi that I used to eat everyday🥺. Also, Kota's mess food isn't that bad as it is shown in kota factory, infact Kota has one of the best mess food in India.
I don’t usually comment on videos but this is not a video in general showing food . It shows a journey and emotions with food and reality of Kota. I and sure people who have even been there as a student for few months will like this and for the students who are prospering in their career and have been in Kota. This video will leave them nostalgic . I don’t know but simple food in these tier 2 cities looks amazing and that chai khokha in the start was so lively. Anubhav sir , you’re no doubt the number 1 food and city explorer - you show us emotions beyond food. Lots of love and happiness to you and the team !! :)

I used to live in kota in 2018 and this Lala tea stall was our daily spot and also ambey burgers next to it . These two places serve the best chai and patties. Delhi rolls had the best biryani in kota at that time and at very affordable rate

The overall culture of this transition journey, the food served at the mess, the interactions wth students, (the pressures n the focus), was very well portrayed.. Out of all... the brownie topped wth icecream... the piping hot aloo parantha wth melted makhan... n the coffee flavoured steamy cup of tea... best complimented the 'baarish'.... Overwhelming... it took me back to my graduating years from Calcutta University!
