He didn't forget, he mentioned Season 2 brought back characters from the original Karate Kid.

I just rewatched The Next Karate Kid movie. It’s pretty clear that ALL the movies will tie into the cobra Kai series. It was a major theme that Julie Pierce was taking care of this injured hawk with a broken wing who was healed and flew off after it was healed. I’m pretty sure that’s what the character “Hawk” was based on.

@@jgsrhythm100 yeah she’s a very accomplished actress, but I can’t see how her being in cobra Kai 6 showing any benefit. She was a completely off the radar side story. There was no major impact or benefit of her being in the story Because everything started with the rivalry of Daniel and Johnny and the whole tree of connections revolved around those two. Julie is a great actress, but she is a pointless character to be added into the cobra Kai franchise

Is not possible because julie doesnt have sisters or brothers Tory’s mom has one sister.

If the Julie character is brought back and in an expanded capacity because of the Writers Strike than I am grateful for it. The Miyagiverse would not have been complete without her!

I love “The Next Karate Kid” i never gave the original 3 the appreciation it deserved until the “the Next Karate Kid” released.

Super video! Sometimes you wonder how much "unused" footage they shooted😱 the writers never failed to give every season nice surprises. So we can be assured their are great moments to come! With the end of the series... I hope every alive and CG made character wil come in this last season to give everry one a great honour

I think it would be cool to have Julie (the last pupil of Miyagi) fight Kim Dae Eun (the last pupil of master Kim). And while they fight you see flashbacks of the original Miyagi do and tung soo do.

I Saw it and I agree with this theory 10,000 Percent !

Julie will paralel Silvers intro. Daniel will seek her out in episode 1 she'll decline because of her family but at the end of the episode we will see she still gets a thrill from karate. She'll then be absent in episode 2 and then appear heavily in episode 3 ending with her joining Miyagi do. Episode 4 will then have her in front and centre in the dojo going forward exactly like Silver in season 4.

Episode two could be a team up of Julie Pierce and Daniel Larusso or it could be the Robbie and Miguel vs Sean and Kenny fight.

I’d love to see her return, but sadly am really seeing enough conclusive evidence at this point. Partly because she still has a pretty strong career still going whereas the actors playing Kreese, Ali, Silver, Barnes, Kumiko, & Chozen were not as busy in recent years. Booking Swank would be expensive so if she appears it seems unlikely that it would be in lots of episodes. Hope she appears, so we shall see. 🤔

I really want to see Julie on the show, I wanted also to see more of Mike and see him become a sensi but I strongly believe that season five was about wrapping everything up and season six is just making a big farewell party but trying to make the party last longer then just "Well this is it, goodbye". If she isn't on the show it will really disappoint me like season five bringing back Mike just for a few episodes and Jessica just for one episode. I think this big fan-anticipated fight is really the fight between Chozen and Johnny

The reason Julie didn't get to fight in the tournament, is there was no girl division. I liked the next karate kid. Of course I love the first three more. Thinking back now, I love that Hollywood then didn't make it a big deal Julie is a woman. Nowadays that plus someone's race&sexuality is all Hollywood can talk about. I miss those days.

I'm wanting this, but also Dutch and the remaining original Cobras there to stand up to Kreese, Cobras fight together.

It was supposed to be a writers strike as far as I remember, that actors supported. Also, Hillary's farther died and she was grieving. That was the reason suggested for not even a Julie cameo. Because of the writers strike, Hillary having grieved and had baby, she can now take a more active role, it's early enough for a ck6 rewrite and as pat marital would say "anything possible, must breathe.."

I think there's some Clues probably in the series already that we would be seeing her that we have somehow missed though on top of all of your valid points and I can't put my finger on it and it's not just the Practical aspects. But in any case, Say what you will about The Next Karate Kid, but the chemistry between Hilary Swank and Pat Morita was off the charts not to mention there's nothing wrong with the characters. It was the plot and the villains mostly that stunk so did Julie's love interest he was terrible. Poor Hillary having to act with a wet noodle like that. There's a lot of good stuff there and a lot of people really adore Julie Pierce. I believe this fully includes all of the producers and it was clear from the beginning that they were including it in their canvas so of course she's going to show up. Especially now that they for sure had the opportunity to do so. If you can follow the news over the last several years, Hilary Swank has made several comments and her schedule has been full it's never mshed well well with Cobra Kai's schedule. There is no way around the fact it was going to take several years to integrate the character simply because of that, but as you point out it certainly seems to be the narrative. It was obviously going to take several years to fit her in and I think they wouldn't have tried to really narratively bring her in until the 5th or 6th season on purpose so your video has an enormous amount of valid points that really can't be argued especially based on the producers behaviors. Of course she's going to be in it.

There’s a great movie from 1997 called The Negotiator starring Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey. I totally recommend anyone who hasn’t seen it to do so it’s great. Anyway there’s a scene in that movie that deals with a person lying and the main character explains how a person looking up and to the left is accessing memory. A person looking up and to the right is engaging their creative side of their brain is an indicator of lying. When Hillary is asked that question she does look up and to the left at first but she switches to looking to the right the moment before she answers which by the logic of that movie says she is probably lying haha.

Although I never really took The Next Karate Kid seriously and watched it as a comedy, I enjoyed seeing Mr. Miyagi and Julie wasn't a bad character. I really hope she can come back. Also since Miyagi Do is named for the family, now that it is mixed with Daniel and Johnny's styles, maybe they will go with LawRuso-Do.

Didn't Hillary just say back in March she was never contacted by the show? She said no cameo is in the cards. There is no chance she has been filming and nothing leaked out.

Man I had a huge crush on alley. Elizabeth shue was just straight up beautiful. When she came back on I felt the old crush feeling that you stop getting when you get older for some reason. I'm gonna go back and research season5. I rarely rewatch any show or movie. As it seems I memorize them but I rushed through it and believe I fell asleep during some of the episodes binge watching it. Anyway MS shue. If you see this and want to hook up with a broke factory worker with the stamina of a bull in the bedroom hit me up haha.

While I'm not a fan of the next karate kid I do think hilary swank deserves to be in season 6 after all she is part of the Miyagi verse and she can help the female students prepare for the tournament

Terry Silver (who's still pretty youthful) needs a good woman (who's also a karate sensei) to get him on a good path. Julie could do that for him. I think once he sees her karate prowess & how hot she is, he'll be smitten. It would be cool to see a humbled Silver & Daniel shake hands & be cool with each other. What a legacy of the Julie Pierce character- settle the conflict between Silver & Daniel

I don't think Julie will say ''Yes'' right away, in Episode 1, of season 6, just like Terry Silver didn't say ''Yes'' right away to Kreese in season 4. Something will have to pull her back in the storyline so she appears by surprise at crucial moments in the story just like: Kreese in season 1, Chozen in season 4, the call from Kreese to Terry Silver in Season 3. Matter of fact, I think Julie will butt head with Daniel and will remind Daniel that ''Karate is for defense only Daniel San''. My deduction is that, at the beginning, of season 6, Samantha will be the one teaching and training all the girls in Miyagi Do by default. However, to win the tournament, she will need her self to upgrade her technique, just like Daniel needed to upgrade his training with Chosen in season 3. Seeing how she performed against Master Kim, in a 2 against 1 fight, in Cobra Kai's Dojo, in season 5, she will need to learn quickly speed and agility to compete and win the tournament. This is what Master Miyagi taught to Julie at the Monastery in the fourth instalment of The Miyagiverse. Samantha, in Cobra Kai, through the seasons, always had to face less skilled or less experienced opponents. However, when the opponent is fast and skilled, she started struggling in the fight. Daniel and Master Miyagi taught her how to defend her self, not how to fight. Matter of fact, this is why she had to learn, in private, with Johnny, a more offensive style, in season 4, to be ready for the tournament. I think Devon and Tori will be hurt very badly before the tournament by Master Kim for their betrayal to her and then be out of the picture. I think this is why Julie Pierce will comeback. To learn the female version of a more offensive style of Miyagi-Do from someone who never stopped her training since. Samantha will face one on one Master Kim in a street fight not Julie.

@@chazarcola7639 my memory of KK4 is a bit fuzzy, but is this true? Didn't she just beat up the obsessive stalker guy at night, off school grounds, in front of Dugan and that was that? I don't recall that officially ending the alpha elites in a greater sense. WatchParty suggested there was no reason Dugan couldn't have expanded in spite of that setback/humiliation.

​​​​@@kr00ked1 Paul Dugan would be retired today and possibly living in a top secret military veterans health care facility like in The Ninth Configuration. My fan theory is that Dugan fell ill after the events of The Next Karate Kid. He called an old army friend to oversee The Alpha Elites. The friend was Terry Silver. He took over and changed it from a discredited small group into a shadow organization. I just cannot believe that The Alpha Elites would still be doing the exact same thing for 30 years after the group's humiliation and defeat at the hands of Miyagi and Julie. Changes would have to be made therein to ensure their long term survival.

@@chazarcola7639 that's just too much of a stretch for me. I feel like Cobra Kai tries to toe the line of credulity and its a very small world when everybody knows everybody. The far simpler theory is that they're still active in rough schools... I also dislike WatchParty's theory that Miyagi and Kim Sun Yung have met for the same reason, because it just feels too contrived, especially when Miyagi didn't bat an eyelid at the name in karate kid 3.

I don’t care what you say, the Next Karate Kid was very good! Technically, I think it was better than Karate Kid 3!

My favorite moments in TNKK was in the Zen Monastery with the monks to further show the spiritual side of the Karate. And the Arrow catching that Miyagi did was poetry in motion. And i think the Dojo name of Julie should be Hiko ya karate, wich means flying arrow or Tsukamaeru ya wich means Catching Arrow

I can't wait to see Julie Pierce. Which part of the Cobra Kai season 6 is she going to be inn? PART 1, PART 2, or PART 3? Which ever part she is in I hope to see her and Daniel be surrogate siblings and teach the all girls division. Maybe share her grief with Tory.

To be honest, I really couldn't care less. If they decide to do it, fine. People were pushing too hard for her to be Tory's mom and it was getting annoying. Miguel's mom isn't from the original franchise. Why would Tory's mom have to be?

honestly I could care less if she makes an appearance. Be interesting to see Dutch again. Woudlnt surprise me to see Jackie Chan though since theres that movie thing in the works.

I need more story line for Terry Silver. How he ended up being such a jerk. He wasn't like that when he was in the military. It would be nice to have the character Julie Pierce to join Cobra Kai but i am not getting my hopes up. IF she does come back i think it would be in the grand finale of the show in 2025.

The writers made Karate Kid 3 watchable again. There's no reason that they can't do the same with The next Karate Kid. I'm just surprised there hasn't been any direct references to that movie yet in seasons 1-5. But I also believe there is a reason for that. My question is if they will bring back or reference more than one character from the next Karate kid?

actually there is one reason first mr. miyagi is the only one who knows her if he was alive i am sure they will have to reference her and her movie mr. miyagi will talk about her but since he died there is no need to reference her,oh and i forgot to mention daniel also knows her and he trained with her before mr.miyagi passed away because he talked about how miyagi do dojo had more than one student to sam and robby in s2 ep 2 that means sam knows her too.

Well the gang did mention Dutch in season 2 that he was locked up. Maybe Silver might bump into him in the pen. That's a big IF the actor decided to go back into acting.

There is a bit of a problem with having a separate bracket fraction for female sensei's because Kim is the only female among the team of Cobra Kai Sensei's and if Julie Peirce was to return as a sensei she would not have a male partner to partake in the men's bracket, basically she and her possible student would've been out numbered by both Miyagi Fang and Cobra Kai unless she cares to join up with the rest of team Daniel/Johnny; She would have the unfair disadvantage since she is the only and separate member of the Miyagi Do (Family) who knows nearly zip about techniques that came from Cobra Kai originally, being utilized into Miyagi Do by Daniel and Johnny. We must not forget that she was not an official member of Miyagi's Dojo the same way as Daniel and his students are, because Miyagi was just a one time visitor to Julie who only knew him because of his affiliation with her grandfather.

@@marcusfridh8489, This is not about when she was taught, while it is true that she was taught Miyagi Do Karate, by her father who was taught by her grandfather, but, you should take into account that Miyagi's visits were not frequent because he lived in California, not Boston, but you must remember that the Grandfather was not taught everything about Miyagi Do but Daniel did when he reunited with his old frenemy in Okinawa Years after "The Next Karate Kid", This is one of the reasons why Julie Perce was not a full member of the Miyagi Do Dojo, she does not know about the pressure point technique and her father died in a car crash before she could finish her training regardless of knowing about the secret technique or not. It is not likely that Miyagi's father taught him the Pressure point technique either, only to have told him about it because Nuri Yoshi Miyagi was his son.

Jet Lee will also be there. And Keanu Reeves.

I want to also see Michael Ironside return as Dugan to help his old fellow POW Kreese to evade the police and escape the country.

@dakentaijutsu2010 - It's a theory that Ken Cole pointed out. One of the POWs in the Vietnam flashback looks and moves like a younger Dugan. Second, Ironside doesn't need to be in "good shape" to do anything beyond delivering dialogue, which he is. He's 4 years younger than Martin Kove.

@dakentaijutsu2010 - With Kreese on the run from the cops, old military bonds would be one of the few things that he could fall back on(at least to help him lay low and get out of the country). I'm just saying, while yes it's only a theory, the set-up is right there for another connection. While it's not "needed", neither was bringing back Jessica Andrews as Amanda's cousin, or Elizabeth-Anne Rooney 🤷‍♂️

@@FreddyKurganNimmo that's the difference between them and Dugan, they were part of the original 3, the next karate kid wasn't, it may be part of the karate kid universe, but not part of Cobra Kai though, I still say it's unlikely Dugan would ever appear, even if he were, I'll say it again, we don't know if they even know each other, let alone friends, and I stand by with what i say about that he may not be in good shape to do anything, which i think he should, I mean Martin kove is in his 70s and yet he aged gracefully and is obviously in better shape than people half his age!

Julie could come in as a street fight to help someone out.

@chazarcola7639 no. There's already a character like that, Tori, a damaged character. Who is in the process of healing. The writers would need to write julie from her time with Mr Meagi to the current time. I don't think the street walker would not do this. Julie needs to parallele Daniel's in some way as to get her own dojo.

WATCHPARTY: You're right the Miyagi Verse wouldn't be the same without Julie. They redeemed KK3 when it didn't do so well so why not The Next Karate Kid? I would love to see Julie bond with Tory, I'm all for it but at the same time I feel like it might be Chozen that she bonds with & maybe convinces her to join Miyagi Do because I feel like they were setting something up between them there with their moment in S5. I would love a fight scene with Daniel & Julie, I think that would be an incredible moment for the Karate brother & sister and I definitely agree that would be one of the Epic fights that we get in Ep 1, but on separate note from that how even more EPIC would it be if we got a fight with Daniel, Chozen & Julie together? Do you think that could possibly happen?

Since Julie took care of a hawk in next karate kid maybe Eli knew about that. He doesn’t necessarily have to be related to Julie but maybe his mom is friends with her or maybe it’s just a coincidence and that when Eli flipped the script to become hawk maybe he just like an image of a hawk and thought it would be badass

I would like to see julie back, and kicks kims butt, she hasn't been beaten yet, so it will kinda make sense. The big comp could have winners for a number of areas, kata, weapons and also weight classes, so you could have multile winners.

I just could care less if the bring her back. Secondly, if they do indeed have a sensei bracket, Daniel can not compete. He proved himself when he beat silver flawlessly. If Daniel were to fight and lose, it ruins what they created at the end of season 5. If they have that tournament, count on Daniel not fighting

Couldn't care less, who will win the tournament. Lost any interest whom to cheer for long ago. Too many changes. "Ohh I want to cheer for Robby cause he fights for...uhmm, which Dojo again?" That goes for many fighters. Maybe Anthony L who was the fat boy playing video games for most of the series with no interest doing karate will win it all. I mean why not, so many changes anyway 🤣
