I love the coke holder idea 😂
These ideas are so great! Thank you! We are really hoping to be able to get this pool this summer. My husband is a wonderful builder also and I’m looking forward to a beautiful set up like this… eventually. lol. I just want a little cool down for us and the kids! ❤
I just setup the Intex 32 x 16 x 52. Been enjoying your videos to get ideas. I dug mine down 2 ft. Next plans are to put a deck around it. I do hate the ladder and agree to get one like yours.
Nice job man thanks for sharing! Doing something similar with my 9x18 Intex next week!
Damn bud I love your set up!
Can we get a walk around video of the deck and maybe some steps you took!? Underneath and a possible material list? I have the same pool and looking to do that same! Thanks!!
Great video!

Really need info on how you built this deck! I’m looking to replicate it
Hell yah, filter ballz! Even the cute gal at my local Aquaquip store was like wtf?...filter balls? I was like oh yah baby lemme show you how they work. She was amazeballs over them now they keep them in stock.
New subscriber here. On my second 16x32 Intex. Third one will probably go in next year. Your set up is quickly looking more and more like mine. Even after ten years of deck building, sun shades, privacy screens and two pools so far, I am still less than a third the price of an in ground. Best upgrades I made were moving to better pump, filter and salt generator. Intex mechanicals will drive you crazy after a few year, or at least were maddening to me. All PVC or flexible PVC plumbing now. Hayward pump, skimmer and salt system, Doheny's sand filter. Keep up the great content. Looking for an invite to that next crayfish boil. Just one state away in Arkansas.

City boy here. Just installed the a 14 x 8' pool. That little pump does nothing even on something this small. Loving your set up, man. Keep up the great work!

No, my wife and I built it ourselves in the middle of a Louisiana summer. We were in no shape to be filming. Lol
Greetings from Florida…I love your very informative videos! I just got a 18x9 intex pool like yours and will be installing soon. I have a big question for you….do you need to bond this type of pool and did you do it? I am super confused on this issue. I appreciate your advice. Thanks again for helping us Intex pool owners out 😎

I'm no carpenter. I don't want to misguide anyone.
Do you have a video on how to hook up the waterfalls that you have on your pool? I would love to know what I need to buy to have a hook up like yours. Also, what size pool pump do you have? Thanks, love your videos.

The water fall comes with everything that you will need. And I have the biggest one intex sells, I don't remember the size.
Your setup is really nice! Y’all did a great job!! I have a 22x52 pool. I do no have a deck but most definitely want a better ladder. Do you know if you can use the A frame ladders. From what I’ve been told by sellers like in EBay it’s for the hard frame pools not like Coleman or Intex. Do you know? One more question. For a deck like yours about how much did it cost you to build? Thanks so much!!
@EverydayMan

Deck was about 1500 bucks. You can use an a frame ladder as long as it's high enough for your pool.

Do you happen to have a link to the splitter and shutoff valve you use for your waterfall and fountain?

Could you do a video of what needs to be done I order to make the switch from a chlorine pool to a salt water pool? Or is it just plain and simple drain and refill?
@EverydayMan
Жыл бұрын
no need to drain. a saltwater pool is a chlorine pool. you need to get a salt system and salt.

Bought myself an Intex XTR 9x18 this year, first pool I've ever had in my life. Just getting started on learning some of the ins and outs of it, and your vids have been really helpful. You're spot-on about the pump, the 1200 GPH unit that comes with it is just barely adequate, will upgrade to a bigger saltwater unit next year. For now, my chemical balance hasn't been too bad, my well water is good on PH and alkalinity....just full of freakin iron, which turned it blood red first time I added chlorine. Not so fun straightening that out. About two weeks of running the sand filter 24/7, adding mineral fighter, and backwashing twice a freaking day. Anyways, smaller video idea for you: I really like the deck you built, would like to see how you've got the joists and supports set, since the curved sides of the pool negate your ability to have it flush with the edge. Would like to build a smaller version of that myself, and toss that rickety ladder in the garbage.

Well, I'm no carpenter. I just over hang the deck boards till they were right over the side of the pool.
Could I just buy the saltwater pump for my 16x10 pool? Do I have to buy that large sand pump too?
@EverydayMan

They do sell a stand alone salt system.

I have a good quality 12/3 extension cord that has been there so long it's under the grass.
How much sand did you put in those steps? I have the same ones. I followed the instructions and they still float. Put 50lbs of sand in them. Thinking I am going to have to get waterproof sand back and tie them under to hold them down now.
@EverydayMan

I think it was more like 200 lbs. They are heavy.

@@EverydayManappreciate it. Apparently I did something wrong. I guess I should have shook the steps and settled the sand. The instructions sucked. It said put 20 pounds in each leg. Now that they’re in the pool and I don’t have enough sand in it. I’m just gonna get some waterproof sandbags and put pea gravel in it and tie them under the bottom.
