    It's amazing how they created spaces that are gracious and almost grand considering the footprint of the house. The grey and caramel scheme really unifies all the spaces. The dining room is awesome.

    Simply Gorgeous! Nate and Jeremiah are so sweet, cool, and stylish and their interior design eye is the absolute best on the GLOBE. Everything they touch turns into perfection. What a beautiful home they have given this family. And yes, I agree with Jeremiah that it would be great for them to have another baby and to give that baby the same beautiful and glorious life that their two beautiful children have. They are the best!!!

    Love, love, love!!! Everything is just gorgeous! I enjoy all the remodeled homes they've done. And, how sweet are they making sure there's something(s) that's special to the family incorporated into the design?! My most favorite part, though, is Jeremiah's heart! He's got such a beautiful soul! Nate is a sweetheart, too. But, I really love Jeremiah!

    Is anybody wondering were all their daily living things went ? It's easy to get rid of the "junk" ....it could make anywhere instant pretty, but a good design takes that into the plan and should be shared with the viewers. Not one mention of where the coats and such went to ? Where did all the stored boxes go that were in the basement ? A family of six ? in a small house ? Not one strategy of double duty items that is crucial for a tight environment ! Oh how wonderful a place looks when you turn it into a department store display....with no real living !

    donate/sell/throw away or store in the attic. They installed a lot more storage in the kitchen and the art room for things that were likely scattered in several places (including the basement).

    Yes, I also wondered about that. As a designer I have hired a specialist organizer for my clients. The organizer just does not just "organize" , but helps people edit their things. Frequently people have way too much stuff, especially clothes. What happens is that over the years lots of things come into a house, but few things actually leave, so it almost always piles up. Having said that, storage for what you do need and use is important. You make excellent points.

    The dining room doesn't feel country with that style of chairs. Also, it doesn't make any sense to have the office space in the living room, they will just have the same problem with noise as before. They still don't have space for their mudroom stuff.

    There needs to be a door that separates the two rooms downstairs, so when dad is working, and the kids are playing in their section, a closed door muffles the kids’ noise, so dad can be on the phone or doing video calls. Also, the kids play table in the basement only has two chairs, and there are four kids, You need two more chairs at that table. I hope the dining room wall paint color is a choice of the owners. I say that, because to me, it makes me feel like I’m in a cement wall room. The dinning room color (to me) is cold and uninviting. I prefer warm colors, but I know that is my personal taste.

  • @comealongcomealong4480

    @comealongcomealong4480

    Жыл бұрын

    @Drew Conway Their dining room is designed to be an 'adult space'. In a high-traffic home, the armchair with lamp offers an easy spot for Dad to have a coffee as well. Though, if truth be told, it'll be one of the kids in the armchair with a tablet or book and Dad will be spread out on the comfy sofa downstairs. Point being, there are now some zones where they can get out of each others way.

  • @comealongcomealong4480

    @comealongcomealong4480

    @ginny0719 Their four kids will probably use the whole renovated basement space the most. At 2:21 Dad says "I work from home at times". So didn't need a dedicated, private work space. He can always ask them to stay upstairs if he needs some 'shuush'. For mine, Nate and Jeremiah listened really well to how this family lives together.

  • @adbts24
    @adbts24 Жыл бұрын

    What an under-whelming reno. Hilary or Tarek could redo the whole house for a little over 1,10K, and would probably add a bathroom or so in that budget.Looks like the clients choose wrong hig-end designers Nate and Jeremiah who barely managed to deliver. Such a small house, they should have utilized the space thinking about its functioning more creatively. Small budget friendly homes are not Nate & Jeremiah's fortay, clearly that budget is way too out of their usual comfort zone, or else US is crazy expensive even for a partial reno of a house this size.Not a single 'wow' factor, no updated storage spaces, and by the looks of it, that dinning table will be too crowded for a family of six.
