"It's not the first time that a drama of Shakespeare or another classical is adapted and free interpreted for a Spaghetti Western. The story is about the war between two rancher families: Monter and the Campos. In the Shakespeare Drama the two are named Montague and Capulet. The son of the Monter who is named Johnny not Romeo has not many experiences with Guns and Women. Fortunately he got a teacher an old outlaw called Lefty and he meets Guiletta Campos the daughter of the Campos Chief. She is espoused to another man but fells in Love with the son of her father's enemy. The cast of the two lovers are Peter Lee Lawrence and Cristina Galbò. It's interesting that both became a couple during making FURY OF JOHNNY KID and married few years later. There is obviously good chemistry between them. Nevertheless the movie is more a spaghetti western as a romantic drama with typical violent scenes, a revenge story and a buddy next to the hero. The typical Buddy story it's about an old outlaw is teaching a young fellow. The Buddy (Andrès Mejuto) is called Lefty and he has only one hand left. All actors are pretty good and the movie is without strange overacting you see in so many contributions of this genre. Somehow it's like an Adult Western without childish elements you'll find in most western from Italy.
Next to these "normal" western stories there are some extraordinary scenes. I didn't expect the end and Yes that's what I would call a weird movie. FURY OF JOHNNY KID is the only western directed by Gianni Puccini who is better known for his work on more sophisticated Movies. He did quiet a good job as also the composer Gino Peguri and the cinematography by Mario Monturi have done.
FURY OF JOHNNY KID was a big surprise for me. It's a weird Spaghetti Western for Adults with good Acting, Directing and a fine score. I enjoyed this unusual Movie with a suspenseful story and many interesting scenes and at least some connection to the great Drama of Shakespeare." Written by lostinaction on IMDb.com

Nice spaghetti western with nice haunting music and non stop action
Amazing and beautiful. A great movie with a great story and music. Johnny is a Superstar by birth. Despite all the gun fighting and blood shed, Love Wins The Battle At Last. Final round of battle between the two rival families was quite remarkable. Thanks to Western Movies for presenting such a great movie.

A fine debut for Peter Lee Lawrence (outside of his 10 seconds in For A Few Dollars More), and I love the twist on the old Shakespearean tale at the end - it subverted my expectations! (but in a good way :)

Best Western ever
One of the great westerns. Loved the six-gun commandments, and rules for gunfighters. The ending that Romeo and Juliet should have had.

one thing i cant understand in the movie. the daughter gets captured and not once has she told them she was on her way to see their son/brother Johnny. i know its the script written but its mighty stupid ill say. good movie though; and i did like how MrDeath 💀💀came for the leftovers in the end lol

Never seen this before. It's a really good movie but the voice of that old judge doesn't seem to be the voice of a man of his age. Anyway I do enjoy watching this film and thanks a lot for the uploading.

Probably the whole movie is dubbed. A common practice as the actors spoke many different languages and could not always speak English (or not without a thick, unwanted accent).

Very funny the final scene was Johnny saying "couldn't you have found some other way" like violence solves nothing...but the whole movie glorifies death like a blood orgy. These movie that pretend to decry violence while swimming in it...hypocrites. In Eastwood spaghetti westerns they make no excuses. Hollywood loves showing excessive violence, while weaving in a message condemning it these days. To me, it's like Tuco says "If you are going to shoot...just shoot" As far as Johnny's final line in the movie...well, no...the Mexicans were treacherous and kept breaking the rules to murder anyone who got in their way...so...no Johnny...they refused, so there was no other way! The girl was quite the knockout and Johnny wears too much makeup!
I can see the problem is family hatred but why cant they reconcile?

The Mexican family here was too treacherous. Every chance they got they betrayed their intentions with blood. How do you deal with that except to fight back. Took Johnny forever to figure that one out....with all his friends dead to prove it. What a rat for letting the saloon girl in love with him take the rap and get shot freeing him...like he couldn't figure out they would hang her for helping him escape?
can someone tell me who is the Masked Person at the end who shoots the remaining survivors from the shootout?
