    Is this a total different style to many other videos as I see the grip is totally different, as not diagonal across the palm, also bell swings over the hand at the top and not around the wrist on the way up?

    Why do so many people "spit" when exhaling during kettlebell work? Never understood that.

  • @anthonycraig274

    Personally, I am much prefer the swing, as it is a more functional exercise and it keeps the time over tension.

    Is there a reason to do the snatch if you're already doing Turkish get ups?

  • @strengthwithpurpose6147

    @strengthwithpurpose6147

    Absolutely! The kettlebell snatch is an explosive ballistic that will train power while the Turkish get up will train slow strength/balance. Think of them as yin/yang. Hope this helps! :)

    The snatch is not a high swing with a lockout... The snatch is a snatch. Try to carry over the Olympic weightlifting tecunique if you want to actually snatch, not high swing. Out of the many KZread videos I've watched on the topic you're actually performing it very close to what a snatch should be, but you're teaching it as a high swing at the start which is confusing. At 9:25 when you actually do the snatch it looks good with a fairly vertical bell path. Good video, I've just seen too many people teach high swings as snatches.
