Only few places she went to oldest market in Nepal so buildings are old and mismanaged but other areas are pretty chill

I came to Nepal first time 2000.. been there 5 more time after that, max visa so 3 month/time. Dahl Bath vegeterian is totally my favourit food, im not vegeterian but 25 years ago if you ate their meat you most likely got sick, the food quallity is much better now.. it used to cost half a Euro and unlimited food... Nepal is probably my favorit country altho it dosent have the sea or waves you can surf but the Himalayans are just pure magic.. Whiet water rafting is world class, paragliding, mountinbike.. or just being a Hippy smoking weed and chilling like in the good old days

One thing I absolutely love is unlike most of the creators you didn't just visit the major part of Nepal. You stayed with the locals got familiar with the cultures and routines. I think that it what it makes the visit memorable and recommend to others as well.

Susan, do you know there is a glass walking tower in Kathmandu where you can walk over a glass and it's the highest tower of the valley and can have 360° views of Kathmandu

Better lassi is actually under the temple you passed. That is not bara, that is woh. Not dough but lentils. Bara has a hole like a doughnut and is deep fried. Chaku is molasses. Khuwa, made of milk. Honacha in Patan, sweets in Tichoo galli patan and Guruma in Bhaktapur have legendary foods.

The "better" lassi is a copy of the Janakpur lassi, the one she tried. The Janakpur lassi is the one I have had since I was little. The one under the temple was opened after the Janakpur stall. Even if this is about your personal opinion, you cannot call it "better" because it depends on people's taste.

@@user-im5ql6nb5f no. The ingredients might be the same but the cooking method and shape is different. Bara is deep fried whereas woh is pan fried. Because of this, Texture and taste are different. Woh can be topped with egg, meat or vegetables; not bara. Get educated. Woh is specifically a Newa dish whereas Bara is eaten in various South Asian countries i.e Nepal, India, Srilanka. In South India bara is called Vada and is eaten frequently by soaking/dipping in yogurt ( dahi vada). Dahi vada is usually ball shaped.

Hi Susan! The food you had with the rice flour and two different fillings is a Newari dish called 'Yomari'. The white filling is 'Khuwa', which is basically milk boiled and stirred till the moisture evaporates and turns into a thick pasty/doughy solid form. The black filling is made from molasses and some people also use sesame with molasses. Safe travels.

Visit one of Newari restuarents. You will find very strange but typical Nepalese food from typical Kathmandu valley. This is very important to complete your visit completely.

Drink geen water als je iets pittigs eet, maar eet iets van brood of plain rijst om het af te koelen. Water/drinken verergert het. Het enige dat volgens mij een beetje helpt (qua drinken) is melk, maar dat heb ik zelf nooit getest. Brood of dergelijk werkt in ieder geval veel beter!

That white one inside thing called khuwa it is made of milk and khuwa is famous in hetauda chisapani best khuwa of all time

What you are seen eating in the thumbnail is called SAMOSAA in India. I didn't see u eat this during your India tour. U can mostly find it in the Northern provinces of India.

I don't think it's bara bread, most people call it Bara but it's actually called "Wo" which is made from blended lentils , minced buffalo meat(optional) and spices. There is also an other kind of Wo which is made from "Moong Dal" which is often paired with buffalo meat and gravy.

we had a nepali cook in my house for my sister's wedding, i said to prepare him spicy chiken masala gravy, but he prepared 10 times more spicy chicken compared to Indian chicken gravy... then i had to literally remove all red chilies he put in chicken, literally there was 15-20 red chili in it. We used to add at max 2 Red chili usually. then again i had to add onion tomato gravy in it..still it was hot to handle.. then i had to add cream in it.. then, we were able to eat chicken gravy.. you can understand how hot and chili it was earlier as per nepali standard lolzz..
