which means fortifying shield rush is better to put on shield, which I thought so anyways

love this, wanted to tell you that the Soul Shroud armor from Myrkgard named bosses also has enchanted/arcane harnassing and a third perk that you can choose when upgraded at gypsum kiln. it is also all light armor

I love this new expansion. For PvP, I only ever played Spear/Bow. Never had the desire to play other weapons or waste money/time on building sets for them. But this expansion makes it so much more accessible and fun.

finally someone who makes Flail usable as a light assassin. If I add it up correctly you'll do between 5-8k damage with Trip, light Attack, erruption, light and Smite alone. So if you take the dots into account. This makes the flail pretty safe to kill enemies that are at around 50% HP. sns is also super safe for catching people. But I also think that you can combine the Flail well with the greatsword/greataxe or hatchet and then quickly switch to the Flail or not? So overall I see a wide range of weapon combinations.

FYI, keenly jagged is better on shield instead of keenly empowered. Because if you crit with a shield rush or shield bash and swap to the flail, you lose the keenly empowered. Also, powerful eruption seems to be bugged and is doing 25% of the damage its supposed to.

I believe shield is counted as armor and would give u armor value for the weapon perk.

Have you tested this in war ? Atleast seems pretty good to blast a healer

I have all arcane damage perks and arcane runeglass on armor. Maybe only 2 hits in the rotation get arcane dmg buff and I am not sure if any dots get the bonus. Any kind of arcane gem damage bonuses do not seem to be affected. So I'm wondering if the 5X arc dmg may be better replaced with some kind of survivability perks and just put more points into STR/FOC. Thoughts?

Hey whelps been watching you since you started NW and I miss the GA/hatchet build you were the OG/OP when it came to that build. Why don't you play it anymore and any chance you will bring it back?

I came up a build idea where I'm using sting spear and flail with trip and I'm swapping back to spear after the trip to gain the 25% damage on spear

Is there an update on this build? I like a lot the ability Trip, because it is instant and the enemy doesn't know where it comes from. Another question I have is: would no longer Odo be a good weapon for this build because the 20% more damage to stunned or knocked down enemies? Even if the other perks are mew?

Is Odo viable option for this? It has 20% extra damage on stunned or tripped people.. Applies for both weps, so combining that with back attack should be hard

First time coming back to the game since its initial launch so probably a stupid question but, where do I get the crafting recipe for that Simon Greys gear? Wiki has been no help, that or I'm too dumb to handle using it.

you dont need recipe when you have to do your season pass on the way to finish it it will give you specific dungeon materia you use that to craft

Is refreshing toast still worth it to save ~2.5 seconds. I was running refreshing on my heavy earring to save a slot in armor

how do you maintain light with 3 medium pieces and a shield? I have round shield w/ med glove/leg/feet and it's medium at 14lbs. Never mind, I see now that Featherweight has 0 weight.

In the case of the GS build, I would use flail as support/buff/debuff and to give chase and knockback and serenity as the main dps weapon.

I have a shield with burdering smite and its only 16%

FYI I don't believe burdening smite on shield counts as a weapon perk (even though it takes weapon matrix to put it on). I got burned on that one...I guess the thinking is since it isn't an actual shield ability (shield slam, shield rush, defender's resolve) that the shield is not the "weapon" performing the ability. Clarification: You can still put it on your shield, and it will take a weapon matrix to do so, but the value will be that of what it is on armor (16% vs 35%)...Pretty lame really.

Is this build viable for War? Would you use heavy armor on War? Looks like heavy is meta now.

after completing this build with bis flail and arcane gems its horrible for wars and Opr is tough as well the combo takes a bit to execute so u end up standing still for too long and a range blows u up real quick. but in arena this build slaps! esp with SH nerf the build slaps even more now. ur just squishier then a grape.

How on earth do you get 350 str, 100 foc, 150 con? I have almost all 700 GS gear and can only get 350 Str, 143con, 36 foc?? Is this a weird thing with all the Simon Greys magnify gear?

your stat is way too low...check again you should only be short of like 40 stats give or take which you have to use food buff

sadly Flail weapon perk on shield count as armor perk but sns perk on shield count as weapon

why you didn't chose Feedom perks ? wont you be dead after a stun ?

no it makes no difference freedom or not you will get hit after stun it's worthless perk and stun doesnt = death

They need a way for us to replicate our artifacts so we can actually use them with different builds.

I mean it's OK, but you're trying to force a playstyle when there's just better ways. Hatchet heavy to torrent can hit at the same time and it is a much bigger burst

You x3 in arena, they killed you 3 times at least. Ankh must be nerfed, truly nerfed.

Well I think that build is not so good. I know it because I spent around 300k on it and around 2weeks . But good in arena only !! Why u can't see potential on high DPS whit Flail because is the lowest based damage on melee. Flail is utility weapon. Like stamina reduces ( talent + pvp perc on weapon) give forty, mobility empower. And many people don't read it properly. 1rst : trip has no grit. So sometimes can't even deliver vs spear . Second all invest in arcane boosting is useless because 90% of ppl are full elemental gemed. So In theory is good but in practice not always. Good video nice game play. But less practical in use.

That's the same thing my old company wanted to tell me. the Flail is just a support and mobility weapon blah blah blah.... the Flail is just not meta... today I'm no longer part of the company and have changed the faction. Today I'm destroy them with the flail in 1vx wherever I find them. and that even though they play meta builds... Let the people Play what they want.
