When I saw that, I yelled 'you crazy son of a bitch' over and over again at my screen. That could have so catastrophically wrong, it's insane. It's actually harder to glitch out, and glitch back in successfully, than it is to play the level as intended. That could have destroyed the entire speed run right there, but he knew exactly what buttons to push and when. It's god tier, and it's a crime that the player who is considered to be the greatest in the world, has fewer subscribers than the KZreadrs praising his skills.

Somehow I feel bad cuz I love E2M6 but it always finds it's way to get destroyed by runners 😅 Maybe a 100% items 100% secrets run would be nice in this regard.

@@sebastiannemeth-ramirez2160 I've noticed that too... about the best people having a smaller following than others. For example I'm a piano player (I don't upload on this channel) and the BEST piano players on here have very little followers in comparison to players that play less than half as good. Sometimes it truly makes no sense. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the common person (viewer) relates to the average person (uploader) more, and is put-off or intimidated by the prodigy type accounts.

@@Final-Ts Its more RNG than anything else, think about how many people play the original doom games, now how many play UV or above, now think who watches doomtubers, now think speedruns, now think doom speedruns, now think speedrunners, and after the 1% of the 1% we finally get people who know of zeromaster but maybe simply don't subscribe or watch a lot of his videos.

@@Final-Ts yep, just look at Perfect Ace aka Rayan Isran, the greatest Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark speedrunner to have ever played the game, and yet the dude only has 2k subs.

In terms of gameplay, Doom 2 is my favorite, but in terms of level design, it is the Ultimate Doom.

@@Gurra88 I never lost interest, especially in the PSX versions, they were nightmare fuel for me back then. Doom is still alive because of the mod community, sure, but it would not be the case if the game wasn't so fricking awesome.

I agree, the added demons and ssg were amazing but some of the levels can be a slog to play through.

@@Darth_Yersinia True, though Doom 2's secret levels were my favorite part because I am an avid Wolfenstein player, and I would love to see them in the Ultimate Doom, Doom 2's levels and storyline were not as good as Doom 1's levels and story. Sure, gameplaywise it was fantastic, but it lacked something that Doom 1 had. Plutonia actually was much better than Doom 2, but it didn't have the Wolfenstein themed levels. Still, the episodes, levels, and overall story arc of the Ultimate Doom were my favorite so far, especially in the PSX version, with exclusive levels such as Hell's Gate.

After watching Sunder, I forget just how tough the original maps can be. Awesome work Zero!

Yeah and with it being so early on in the run, in surprised Zero didn't quit out, but obviously it worked out anyways and it's kinda nice to know there's still room for improvement in the run

Crushed it. It's always awesome watching how fluently you traverse through rooms, avoid obstacles etc. You make controlling Doom Guy look easy lol.

Watching Zero Master Doom runs is so relaxing

I think people usually forget how punishing NM is Everytime you get in front of 5 shotgunners, you could lose all your health in half a second. It's insane enough to simply finish NM, the game is unforgiving and quite unfair.

With the double ammo, and split second to react after the audio cues, I think it's fair of you're using a modern WASD + mouselook setup. Keyboard only then okay, a bit ridiculous. Probably still possible for a few, though.

Then there's the maps where you have to backtrack, doing this on NM when enemies respawn is a literal Nightmare but this was really impressive but brutal.

I don't get why Sandy Petersen and Tom Hall we're given such a hard time because of their designs, I really like Episode two, in fact I'd say it's my favourite out of the three. For some reason I end up coming back to Doom 1 more than Doom 2. THere is a certain charm in the fact that everything was brand new at the time of Doom 1 so all of the designers were doing what they thought it was best, no theorycrafting or hard rules involved. Idk. I like it, thanks for keeping the game alive Zero Master!!!

I think Episode 2 is most people's favorite, myself included. Doom 2's ambitions exceeded the development time the company granted it. Rather amazing it turned out as well as it did.

This guy know Doom more than I know my ex-'s bad habits. God-like gameplay as usual!

no, just use keyboard and mouse for fps games. you can play car games and platformers with a gamepad

We all know about the famous secret in Doom II Level 25: Bloodfalls that has nothing in it on UV and NM In my opinion this episode has an interesting secret too. The box of shotgun shells in Secret 9 on E2M2 Containment Area, since they never get used, since it's pretty much plasma all the way! Yes I know he used some shells on the next map but not enough to warrant picking up a box. My point is he didn't need them and only picked it up because it was in a secret
