The juke dive on Vettel was so of the most insane overtakes I’ve seen. Vettel was one of the best defender on the grid and he got it done fairly quickly

@@TonyF1MMA tbf he doesn’t need to defend most of the time (like you said) because of his pace. Most of the time he needed to defend was at top-speed reliant circuits like Monza and Spa when his engine was significantly weaker. But when he does defend, most were stand-outs like Italy 2010 when he defended against Rosberg for a couple dozen laps, and Italy 2012 when he defended against Alonso for about 10 laps. It’s harder to defend in straight line than in corners so you gotta give credit where’s due

@@yvhuio Destroyed Max in 17/18? The only reason Max had less points in 17 were the 1 billion mechanical DNF‘s that Max had. In 2018 he easily beat Ric. Max was always the faster driver.

@@raphwalker9123 I'm not so sure. Sometimes things just don't work out in a particular team or car. I mean look at how he destroyed ocon in 2019... it's not like he suddenly just lost all of his skill in the 3 month off season before starting at mclaren. I mean even look at lewis where he struggled against Button for a season or two, or seb really struggled vs daniel in 2014. Depends who else would be in the running, but I mean I'm not convinced even now that checo is a better driver than daniel.

@@TomBlu16 Anything? Well maybe anything but certainly driving yes i was better in gokarts and Formula Ford - but i wasnt a richkid like Riccardo so i had to quit and get a real job. And no more poles than wins is better - for example Senna had 65 pole and 41 wins - and is regarded as the GOAT (greatest of all time). I met Senna - a super talent. But Riccardo is a B grader - i was better myself.

This is the problem with F1. Too many people focusing on the personality side of drivers, instead of their actual skill level. Ric has been awful for the last couple of seasons and it's about time he lost his seat for a more hungry, younger driver that's not goofing around all the time outside of the car.

I'm telling you right now, as soon as 2024 starts and he gets back to being mentally healthy. DR3 is coming back in a form that we haven't witnessed yet. That move on Hamilton is underrated. To be trail braking on the outside of a car into a corner is supremely difficult and requires supreme car control. To then switch it back and pass Hamilton on the inside of the next corner is pure awesome. It blows my mind that ricciardo has been relegated to a reserve role.

The best overtaker on the grid in his prime. Just amazing to have witnessed those races where he would send it from miles away and still hit the apex and give room for the other car. Perfectly fair racing. They should have an analysis done on how he is so aggressive on his overtakes yet so completely fair. Just the best on his day.

I think maybe he is done sadly he even said 24 races is too much for him and with more races being added he doesn’t want the stress but we can hope, but then would be be any better? As he’s amazing yes but with time out and how much the sport changes every year he will find it hard to adapt to the new cars like he seems to do already but we never know

But when he does defend, most were stand-outs like Italy 2010 when he defended against Rosberg for a couple dozen laps, and Italy 2012 when he defended against Alonso for about 10 laps. It’s harder to defend in straight line than in corners so you gotta give credit where’s due

@@yvhuio Destroyed Max in 17/18? The only reason Max had less points in 17 were the 1 billion mechanical DNF‘s that Max had. In 2018 he easily beat Ric. Max was always the faster driver.

The thing that is brilliant about Danny Ric is that while his "full sends" are late, they are controlled and respectful to the drivers around him and the move rarely ends in contact.

I mean look at how he destroyed ocon in 2019... it's not like he suddenly just lost all of his skill in the 3 month off season before starting at mclaren. I mean even look at lewis where he struggled against Button for a season or two, or seb really struggled vs daniel in 2014. Depends who else would be in the running, but I mean I'm not convinced even now that checo is a better driver than daniel.

No he didnt - he scored only 3 poles in 240GP - a truly pathetic ratio of 1.25%. Almost as low as possible

@@TomBlu16 Anything? Well maybe anything but certainly driving yes i was better in gokarts and Formula Ford - but i wasnt a richkid like Riccardo so i had to quit and get a real job. And no more poles than wins is better - for example Senna had 65 pole and 41 wins - and is regarded as the GOAT (greatest of all time). I met Senna - a super talent. But Riccardo is a B grader - i was better myself.
Like he said in monza, he never left. He will always be lurking about somewhere within formula 1 even if he isn’t on the grid. Always topping up the morale.
Gonna miss Ric Bobby on the grid next year. Mr. Full Send really provided us with some incredible thrills during his tenure in the sport.

This is the problem with F1. Too many people focusing on the personality side of drivers, instead of their actual skill level. Ric has been awful for the last couple of seasons and it's about time he lost his seat for a more hungry, younger driver that's not goofing around all the time outside of the car.

His moves come from so far back it's unbelievable! And he practically never crashed when going for a dive. Vettel 2014, Kimi 2017 are amongst the best overtakes F1 has ever seen!
It was so painfully heartbreaking to watch him sturggle through 2022, that I forgot what an absolute machine he used to be. GET IT GIRLLL!

Remember being in awe when he joined RB in 14, the moves were outrageous. Couldn't believe this guy was running rings around the others, such a shame how it's gone.
His move on Hamilton in Hungary 2014 still gives me goosebumps!!! Hope he will get a shot at Red Bull or some other team in 24

One got to wonder what went wrong in McLaren. Hard to believe this man just suddenly forgot how to drive quickly. Especially as the year before the move he was in the form of his life in Renault.

Yeah, Even though his time at Renault wasn't the best but still awesome, but when he joined McLaren.....
I'm telling you right now, as soon as 2024 starts and he gets back to being mentally healthy. DR3 is coming back in a form that we haven't witnessed yet. No one understands how to setup a car better than adrian newey combined with the simulator work, and experience, it'll be something amazing to witness. Believe.
With the right machinery, Ricciardo is one of the best
That move on Hamilton is underrated. To be trail braking on the outside of a car into a corner is supremely difficult and requires supreme car control. To then switch it back and pass Hamilton on the inside of the next corner is pure awesome. It blows my mind that ricciardo has been relegated to a reserve role.
I tell you what, none other driver made me scream "WOW!" watching race that many times as Daniel. What a legend!
I was lucky enough to witness his charge in Hungary for his second win live at the Hungaroring. It was amazing experience ✌🏽😇

The best overtaker on the grid in his prime. Just amazing to have witnessed those races where he would send it from miles away and still hit the apex and give room for the other car. Perfectly fair racing. They should have an analysis done on how he is so aggressive on his overtakes yet so completely fair. Just the best on his day.

I think maybe he is done sadly he even said 24 races is too much for him and with more races being added he doesn’t want the stress but we can hope, but then would be be any better? As he’s amazing yes but with time out and how much the sport changes every year he will find it hard to adapt to the new cars like he seems to do already but we never know

Just goes to show how important a car that behaves how you want can make a difference. Also, the lighter cars seem like they produced more exciting racing before they became under steer boxes.
