The gun is a model 1911, but looks like a blank firing replica made by Bruni. Still could have been used for criminal activity. Would have been neat to see the cartridges up close and their markings.

I think the blank guns can be modified shoot a real bullet once or sometimes twice before they jam up the cops say on other episodes of Bondi the treasure hunter.

@@kellenwright2388 You go tell them that then, if you want to fire real bullets from a blank firer you need a high quality blank firer like a Turkish Zaraki, cut the barrel off and drill a 12mm hole in the breach, and then make your own barrel on a lathe and fit it and dremel out a feed ramp. Bruni make their blankfiring guns out of soft metals, you're not doing this with a Bruni, and you're not doing it to any blank firer without making your own barrel.

Rotterdam has had a bit of a shady name in the past. Since then overtaken by Marseilles. Love that laugh Wim!

Dude give this man a TV show, he’s so knowledgeable, so entertaining, and his vibe is just off the charts, give this man his own tv show on like discovery channel or history channel for Christ sake.

My former mother in law, Serijna, was a child living in Rotterdam when it was bombed during WWll. She suffered from PTSD and depression the rest of her life. She was the sweetest lady . RIP Serijna. I will never forget all the beautiful dinners you made for us. ❤

The gun is a Bruni 8mm blank firer. A copy of the Colt 45 1911. You can see it has Bruni stamped on the slide and you can see the thumb safety is fake (non moving) as it has no notch in the slide. Cool find👍

Been traveling over that bridge for ages. It's amazing to see what i've been passing by unknowingly. And in the Rotte River that gave name to the city of all places! Moving upstream you get some low riverbedding, kind of like the canals of Amsterdam, highly recommend you guys to go there aswell. To be fair, that area is pretty dodgy and has a high alert of criminal activity. But I guess the finds kind of made that clear xD

I suspect the outside of Nikki's coat is nylon, so that canal mud will wipe right off. 😁 The police aren't so lucky with their uniforms. 😱 Some elbow grease scrubbing will be required. 😂😂

I watch literally 2 magnet fishing channels and i like the other one and all, but you sir are my favorite. Ive watched almost all your videos i actually need to go through and like em all. Ill start here. But I've been magnet fishing myself with a 1200 lbs or 544.311 kilos Hippo magnet. Haven't found anything super cool but i did have a police office tell me where a motorcycle is and i found a gokart frame. But i gotta say Go Bondi you find sooooo much cool stuff and i cant believe how many bikes 😅 i wish i had the money to travel come magnet fish with you. It would be an adventure of a lifetime. Some people are just built for the cold. I know I am. I'd literally almost die daily in tropical regions, purely from the heat and humidity. I once had to leave early from a vacation in South Carolina because the heat and humidity was making me sick.

My first deer rifle was a WW2 era 8mm Mauser. One of the bullets looked very much like an 8mm. Others looked to be 30calibur. I wonder if these could have been WW2 era. If so they look very pristine for something under water 75 years. The pistol was a 1911.

It looks like a Colt 1911 .45 cal used by US WWII. Some muddy bottoms are good at preserving metallic objects.

The handgun doesn't look very old. It looks a bit like a Colt 1911 or a licensed copy (first made and accepted by the U.S. Army in 1911), but Colt Manufacturing Co. still makes that firearm even today, although it definitely looks like a more recent model.
