Ultimate "Cost No Object" Elekit TU-8900 Upgrade Project

Ғылым және технология

This will be my ultimate Elekit TU-8900 "cost no object" upgrade project. I have collected the parts for quite some time. Some are new, some perhaps have been there for long time and just now the right time to use them :)
Not sure how it would sound, but all the parts are carefully selected based on my experience playing around with such "boutique" components.
You will see combination of new components and also older "vintage" components that might not be available anymore.
This is also my first video in 4K/30fps format. Huge in file size and slightly longer in editing/rendering, but worth the quality.
Hope you will enjoy it!

It will take some time. Still working on the chassis design and some proper alignment for some key parts - which is not small...

Too funny. I thought I was the only person that does this. Plastic bags in clear bins full of high end parts purchased for future projects. Oh dude you even got the Solen Tin foils! Love those.. Excellent! I need to post my own video. I kept buying 47k tantalums when I needed 47Rs... Now I have a bunch of 47ks uggh Need to look before my press the buy button. I guess I'll use then in a phono stage or something. Anyway Great job! I'll be following your progress!

Sorry cant really recall. Ordered last year along with some other stuff. Maybe 5K USD more or less? You can ask the company for quotation. You can tell them to follow my spec as on the video. Thanks.

You may want to look into the new Western Electric 300B. They are a little high, but made to the original spec of the classic ones of old.

The older are much higher in price vs the new production. And the new production has changed the design (material). For sure no longer original spec.
