    Excellent video guided tour. To answer your ? Vallée de Fango that finishes in the bay Galeria, with a camping on the beach with freshwater lagoon, a short distance from the beach. Am writing a book about that summer. Thanks again.

    @@januslog Sir, the name of that place in Corsica is same as the last name of the "Father of Philippine Revolution" against Spain, Andres Bonifacio. 😅☺️✨️ BGC, in Taguig was a former military fort named after him..

    )Contrary to popular belief, Normandy was not the first French region liberated from German occupation in 1944 following the Anglo-American landing but the first French region liberated from German occupation was Corsica, Napoleon’s homeland, in September 1943 and it was exclusively by the French army commanded by General Giraud embarked by the French navy with the help of the resistance of the partisans of the"Indeed, the British and American governments not wanting to withdraw troops fighting in Italy at the same time, disapproved of General Giraud’s initiative and did not provide him with any troops. But taking advantage of the neutrality of the Italian troops stationed in Corsica after the armistice demanded by Italy in september 8 ;1943, the French soldiers and partisans managed to force the German troops to leave the island ;

    @@januslog Despite their initial opposition to the liberation of Corsica, The British and American staffs were then happy to have in Mediterranea near the French coasts a real natural aircraft carrier from where they could send their planes to bomb the French territory occupied by the Germans. . French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry left Borgo in Corsica for his last mission from which he never returned, his plane having been shot down in the Mediterranean

    Thanks for the nice video! How did you manage the drone flights. It seems, that some of the spots require a special permit. Can you recommend me a way to as or permits at the authorities?

    Thank you very much Most locations are no problem. For a few you will need to request permission through the app. I used a DJI drone and requested it through there

    Great question. It depends what you are most interested in and how you want to structure the trip. If you’re into mountains and hiking, I would stay in or around Corte. From there, you can do day trips to the coastal areas. If you’re more into beaches, then the beaches around Calvi in the north and some of the Douthern beach towns might be best. But from either of these places you would need to take a 2-3 day trip to the other parts of the island.

    I went for 2 weeks and took my time. You can do the trip in a week but it will be a bit rushed.

    The French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte probably belonged to Corsica.

    Yes, Napoleon is a big deal in Corsica and he’s definitely seen as the perhaps most famous Corsican that ever lived

    Corsican people own french nationality, it is a fact. Some corsicans might not like it, but the majority of Corsican people still acknowledge their french nationality.
