Wraith path (black flames) burns away opponent's ether, and shadow mantras deal burn damage. You missed the part where it spawns puppets. If you stun someone long enough 500 puppets will hit them, annihilating their health bar and proccing all sorts of fire talents.

Chilling now procs crystallization procs per m1, update came out a few weeks ago so crystal should be rated at least B, knockback on crystal procs too helps people land combos if you know how to time your procs, like I use jus karita chilling m1s into ice daggers wayward ice smash, usually ends in a gb or a dodge which I can catch them with ice lance

Don't understand why people sleep on suffocation gale so much. Sure suffocation doesn't cancel silentheart becasue it doesn't have mantras, but you also gotta remember it does slight damage AND if they jump they get dazed. On most builds it's still going to silence the target normally too. AND suffocation path gets a significantly stronger haunted gale, does like 3-5% depending on how much hp, while specter's ghosts genuinely only do like 1-2% to my 470 hp 25 resist build. Yes the chip and speed of specter is good, but it's not just a "direct upgrade" from base gale. (My main has base gale)

Winded procs make it easier to land combos since it stops counter swinging for fast weapons or being able to swing at all for slow weapons, vanishing wraith is still pretty good for posture and if you're on a hybrid build like azure gale you can just as easily go vanishing into a guard break like fire blade or scourge etc

Shadowcast is 2nd in S tier, stealing other peoples ether is mad, that just lets you use your mantras more and your enemy gets to use them less. And the mantras… We all know about the normal op shadow mantras but NOBODY talks about shadow assault. Shadow assault with the blast spark variant is arguably one of the best mantras in the game.

have to disagree about pure shadow vs twisted puppets. Pure shadow is much worse than pure gale, however Twisted puppets with a *crypt blade*, has to be cryptblade or else yeah the build is gonna suck with twisted. If you have a cryptblade twisted puppets build it is 1000x better than pure shadow. You get shadow gun and fire blade, two best guard breaks in the entire game. One of the best set-ups for twisted puppets is fire forge(for hells partisan), fire blade, flame wisp, shadow gun, rising shadow, and shadow eruption. You can obviously get more mantras of your choosing, but I promise you that kit alone that I just pointed out is actually absurd with how good it is.

Flame dmg is good BUT THE NERFS ARE CRAZY

Shadow literally allows for mage gameplay despite the erudition nerfs, so its an S

Ima speak from personal experience for my ratings of attunements. Ice: it’s pretty solid all around, with decent damage and being highly spammable. Good for both pvp and pve. Flame: very good for dealing with large crowds in pve when you don’t have mercy kill, and it has pretty good damage and moves, but the fire can be extinguished pretty easily by dashing, and if your enemy has fire resistance then the burn won’t do much. Pretty solid for pvp and good for pve. Thunder: it’s dog shit… for pve it has the worst moves imaginable, like 2 buffs?? Give me real moves. Thunder clones die in a single hit. A 3 star combat mantra DOES LESS DAMAGE THEN THE 0 STAR THUNDER BLADE LIKE WTF. I’m guessing that this is a full on pvp focused attunement so I’d say decent for pvp and complete utter dog shit for pve. Shadow: it has a few moves that can be easily blocked by mobs, but it is still pretty good for pve. It really shines in pvp, with ether steal and making it harder to see, it is very good. Very powerful in pvp and decent in pve. Gale: it’s pretty decent I’d say, with good damage and straight forward moves. Not really much else to it. Good in pve and pretty decent in pvp Ironsing: i personally main this, and I too think this is dead shit over powered. Good damage, unfair block damage, straight forward moves that are very powerful. Very powerful in both pvp and pve. I’m not very sure about Attunementless.

flamecharm is the worst attunement by far after the nerfs. Flaming scourge and ash slam got shit on by the last patch. Flame gets nerfed every patch

Kinda how it goes for flame, except now flame only has fire blade going for it. Burning servants was really good, than they gave it auto parry frames and nerfed it's posture dmg. Ash slam was pretty good, then they gave it auto parry frames and nerfed it's size. Flame scourge was pretty good, then they gave it auto parry frames. Fire palm was pretty good, then they gave it more wind up. So, now every time you cast a fire mantra just prepare to take an unavoidable m1 just because you got parried.

@@JsphCrrll exactly it was still good until last patch then they took a shit all over flaming scourge (you can’t cancel it so if you miss you get comboed) and ash slam gets canceled after the first hit was parried (the after hits were the only good thing about it). Fire blade and flame wisp are like the only above mediocre flame mantras left

Shadow steals your ether, tempo too deals extra dmg if the enemy has no ether, locks you in place for moving if you got hit a sec ago, and blinds your screen. Your point can be applied to everything.

Attunmentless is def not S because you get extra points and put them into tanky talents. No attunment these days are basically just mage builds. Skyshatter kick doin 2 bars, unreactable strong left insta guard break. Pen uncapped to the moon. There’s no “skill” left it’s just spam the broken mantras off cool down. Even all the attunmentless med builds just run every med mantra that for some reason are all insta tps.

You fail to realize that things like Champion's Sword saves almost the same amount of points as Attunementless, so attunements can have the same thing. You also fail to realize that legendary weapons exist, letting attunements save even more points on top of having a special weapon with innate gimmicks. If you can't react to strong left with all of the windup nerfs, that's a skill issue. Also, saying that it insta-gb's is just untrue. not even level 5 strong left insta-gb's. Skyshatter kick is cancellable and has a long windup. It's like 2 free m1s for them if you're the one using it. Even if you were right about PEN caps, PEN caps are overshadowed by things like attunement gimmicks (burn, suffocate/wind, ether steal, etc.) and Elemental Rebound, which is literally innate to attunements. The only "broken mantras" that I think you could be talking about are things like Rapid Slashes or Taunt, which are both super low investment. I genuinely think you're just clueless.

@@Li-gq6yj Every other GB move at level 5 will insta-gb no matter what your posture is. Having Ardour, Strong Hold, and like mid 30's base posture will let you block SL at level 5. My point is that SL isn't as great as you think it is and Attless isn't "broken".
