Nicely done, I have been planning to do this with my Arcade1up for a while now. I've stripped it apart but haven't really started anything yet as I need to figure out where to put the extra buttons. Never considered putting a subwoofer into the case, Its a good idea!! I have a spare one lying around so I might put it to good use. Thanks for sharing, it gives me more ideas to this project of mine

There are many games on Steam that can be controlled with an 8-way stick and some buttons, so it's definitely a good choice for a cabinet of any kind. I haven't tried it but supposedly you can put Steam games in Launchbox as well, so you could put all your games in one place, emulators and everything.

This is so cool I thinking you be able to soon make and sell your Own modifications you do really good job

Did you ever try FPGAs ? I just started out of curiousity and was very surprised. I mean just the comparison between NES emulation on a beefy i5 system vs the FPGA core was really awesome what difference accurate emulation does (at least, i did not suck as bad in those games as i remembered).

Yeah this is really one mean machine this way, I was thinking of ripping it all apart for more buttons. I know in the US we can get some ready to go panels with plexi maybe need to order one for this cabinet.

I have a laptop with a broken screen that I already use thru hdmi, is it possible to use the screen port to have the entire arcade start up when the laptop starts minus the HDMI cable? Seems nobody has done this ever and I'm looking so everything runs off a battery like the laptop already does but now the screen and speakers included

Do you have links for parts on other websites? Like Amazon? Do you also have a tutorial on putting in sanwa buttons?

I recently bought a 2tb hyperspin pc...it plays almost everything....mame and every system up to the the wii u.....but doesnt play ps3...i need a more powerful graphic card for that and a bigger hardrive... But damn its focking sweet...i love it!!

you mean it is the best and with no end with steam for Arcade1UP that take dust near my bed ! Do you change the Joystick and Button with Encoder i think .

If you build something like this and if windows constantly switches your p1 and p2 and reverses them,you can buy xbox360 encoder boards and it will stop the problem. I have found over the years that wondows is very bad for this when using encoder boards.

Here is my country, the Arcade1up can cost about the same as Namco noir empty cabinet. Not that Namco Noir is cheap but Arcade1up import(and shipping) fees are crazy-expensive.

I had luck getting the SF for cheap so I had a nice base. I think buying old cab is better option here to. 369 / 399 for arcade1up SF2 first gen makes no sense.

Xbox 360 encoders are instantly recognized by steam super easy 😅 If you use other boards indeed go to steam and config them there 🤔

I have a usb encoder for mame to pc. Steam recognizes it as a generic game pad but I can’t configure it.

Not if you get them on sale. Cost my a little under a grand for my pc, 2 cabinets, and other parts for my 4 player between 2 cabinets setup. There's less effort than you think.

its super easy dude just watch a tutorial. I'm a moron and I have two cabinets running off the same pc with an hdmi splitter for spread out 4 player. These mods look scary but are really easy

Hoofdoel: Classic MAME Arcades van begin jaren 80 via MAME4Droid (0.139) en Commodore 64 gaming via C64.emu of Vice of Retroarch. Ik heb mij al zot gegoogeld, maar vind niets. Of heb je misschien een adres in BE of NL waar ze dit soort dingen "custom-made" maken ? De troep van Aliexpress vertrouw ik niet. In geval van technische problemen wil ik beroep kunnen doen op een deftige dienst naverkoop. Prijs is van minder belang. Bedankt, Thomas, Tervuren, BE.

Hey Thomas Tiny arcade is zeker wel wat te koop hier en daar. Numskull maakt leuke machines alleen vind het zonden om ze te modden kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6pmlbithte4mqw.html Dan hebben wij nor Zarcade maakt gewoon mini arcades 33cm groot maar wel met een pi alleen kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4yWsa-rgK3YXco.html Stukje groter maar beter speelbaar hebben wij de playminimal arcades 50cm groot kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKWClrWFacfVorw.html Dus er zijn zeker wat opties. Heb laatst nog een Galaga 50cm binnen gehad voor review dus word ook een leuke video. Helaas geen idee wie deze heeft gemaakt... custom vermoed ik.

Ik heb zonet de Zarcade Z8 besteld. Verkoper wou eerst niet, zogezegd vanwege sourcing problemen. Hij verwees naar de Z10. Maar na een beetje aandringen krijg ik nu toch een Z8 met Pac Man cabinet, wel 5 weken wachten. Geen probleem. Nog eens bedankt voor de tip !

Cabinets are made very basic not to be compared with old school '90 cabs. I had first generation and yeah those controllers where shit so replaced all buttons. At the end ... happy with it.. it haves a very nice 17inch display. 😎 New generation Arcade1up are very good.. they fixed all the problems with the first batch. So ... that will not be the problem anymore.
