I did a P520. Added two white 120mm fans, led light strips, and a custom side window panel out of plexiglass. Oh with a rx 6700tx speedster Love it. It's my Jankstation now. :)

Tell you what, I just built in that P520 and it was a DREAM. Easy to open and loving that the panel has a complete diagram of the motherboard on the panel. Super easy.

I followed your prior video and bought myself a P520 from your vendor and I was thoroughly impressed. That thing is a SOLID BEAST. It may not have the flash, it's more like a MONOLITH! [as in badass]. Been very happy so far.

I have a P520 / W-2135 as well all decked out, thanks again to Toasty Bros. I think the Ali Express did so well due to the extra cores but more importantly, L3 cache size. I think it has 35mb of cache vs the 8.25mb of the P520 / W-2135. Yes the P520 has a faster processor but it looks like it evens it out a bit.

I just bought the P520 with a W-2133 16GB ram and a 512GB SSD. I also bought an RX6600. It will be my media server/video editing/light gaming machine. I'm looking forward to putting it to good use, wi5h some future upgrades, for years to come.

ive never had a pc before and always have gotten teased for it by my friends i feel like having a pc in general is a blessing not much else to say

I just got a Zotac 2070 super mini from their official eBay shop for $208 after tax and shipping (I offered $185 and they took it) upgrading from a gtx1660ti. I’ll be keeping that to slap into a one of these office PCs for my 12 y/o daughter

not a huge rgb fan. I'd go for the P520, since it also has potential for extra drive bays..I like extra drive space in my builds. Newer cases available in my market don't really have extra 3.5" bays or 2.5" spots. I'm on Canada..so case selection is different than the US.

I would like to see a head to head between these builds using the same graphics card. I am torn between which build to do and i think that kind of comparison would be helpful. Also, my build will be doing livestreaming, video editing, and serving as a plex server.

Go with the P510 you won't be disappointed, but I do suggest go with min 64 gb ram, I have 32 gb works great but wished I had gotten 64 or more for virtualization. Cheers 😉

The upgraded workstation is a great option. Well balanced system. The CPU performs similarly to a Ryzen 2600 and I just built a 2600/6600 machine. Great if you are doing it for yourself but you can't easily sell a PC like this regardless. If you manage to sell it, it is only because you have a YT channel with 613k subs. You can sell this level of performance for $700+ if it is in a modern case and has RGB in a heartbeat but the upgraded workstation will just sit on the shelf. Could have gone with a 1650 V4 and Machinist X99 board and probably got it in an inexpensive case with RGB and a 6600 for the same price and it would be a lot more desirable to the average consumer. The performance would be virtually identical, perhaps better because I'm pretty sure you can overclock on those cheap X99 boards.

$700+??? An i3 is nearly as powerful as that Ali express captain cheapo motherboard combo that requires120 watts for the CPU. CPU upgrades need even more power and cost hundreds used. An RTX 3060 has more RAM and outperforms both featured cards. You can get one used for around the same price. The CPU, motherboard and PSU has no headroom for any significant upgrade. I wouldn't pay $500 for an AliExpress motherboard used parts computer.

I bought a p510 off of Germany's craigslist (ebay Kleinanzeigen) for 80 EUR including shipping month ago. Did not know what I was buying back then, not even the model number of the computer, but 80 USD for a suprise system was pretty much fine for me to take a gamble. The seller wanted 100 EUR for the system, I offered him 70 and he immediately accepted. He just specified some basic specs (which were all weirdly wrong). Said something about 16gb of RAM and 512 GB of storage. When it arrived I found out it was a p510 with the 850W platinum PSU, 64GB of RAM, 512 GB NVME SSD, 14TB server storage in very good condition (configured in RAID so it did not show up in Windows) and some 4c 8t Xeon v4 processor, wich I swapped for an E5-2690v4. Put in a Sapphire RX 580 for almost the same price as the whole system, put Linux on it and now have a very capable gaming rig that with my low FPS standards (everything about 45 is totally acceptable) runs the crap out of Cyberpunk at High Settings (45-60 FPS) with upscaling enabled.

BTW: The Thinkstation is a real Thonkstation. That thing is one heavy mfer, made from the heavies, sturdiest steel they could find in the factory. Mine weighs more than 25kgs or 55lbs. I don't know how much a normal pc's weight, but I am pretty sure, I have never ever lifted one that heavy. There are e-bikes that weigh less ffs. I even use that thing as a footrest and it does not make a single creak when I put the whole wight of both my legs on it and recline in my office chair. Pretty sure that thing would not even have a dent after a direct air strike....

I'm bout to build a PC, but I already got the 6600! should I return the 6600 and get the 7600?

I stepped up to a p920 and that thing is a beast...rocking a RX 6700 XT and 128gb of RAM and it has demolished any game I have loaded on it.

heck, the market in my area needs double that amount.. so in order to afford it, I gotta go back to your builds 2-3 yeara ago 😅

​@@ikram2512yes it won't bottle neck the w2135 but it's close that's about the highest without pushing CPU to 100% it's in the low 90s % cpu with the 3080 gpu combo

PCs are a strange hobby I went all out a year or two ago and built one from scratch with a large budget, now I don't need another PC for at least a decade but always have an Itch to build a new machine and buy new parts. And budget PC builds tempt me the most for some reason. I just got a nice laptop because I had a craving for a portable desktop replacement. So I got a ge67HX with the 240hz OLED panel with 32GB RAM and 5 TB of m.2 Storage. It's an awesome desktop replacement sometimes I find myself using it instead of the Desktop with a dq OLED ultra wide panel.

For me this isn't even a choice, the P520 has a processor that can run Windows 11, the Custom build does not... Windows 10 will no longer be supported from October 14, 2025. How long do you want your computer to last? For those that will no doubt comment, yes, I do know there are ways to get unsupported processors to run Win11, but we don't know if Microsoft will block them from updates when the time comes. (Lets be honest, they will at least try.) I also know that you could just continue to use Win10, but running without security patches and updates is not something I would risk just to have RGB fans and a nice case. What is more important to you? Flashing lights to show off to your friends, or fps, reliability and longevity? *Plus nothing is better than getting better performance than the guy that spent more to get less...*

Left the back alone and move front one in the (Velcro it) cd rom area inside. It seem beep without i guess you can disable it bios but didnt see option...its a Jank station. hehe

The Xeon has 30% more power than the i7. However the Xeon has 14 slower cores and 28 slower threads. The i7 has much faster 6 and 12 respectively. Most games and software utilize 6 cores and 12 threads better.

Rx6600 sips a lot less power for the same performance

@victorradu9645 That's true, but there's still more upgradability. Because you can change out the power supply graphics card, even the CPU, and add more Ram. Not to mention you can also just take parts from The current build to a new build, such as the graphics card power supply. Since none of them are proprietary parts.

That motherboard and processor is end of life come October 2025, it can't run Windows 11, and there is no processor that will fit that board that can.
