When Ulster Television becomes UTV, the visuals and sounds of idents completely resembles the Japanese television idents.

The tune at 3:43 was also used at one time by ITV too ( I think the "celebrity" idents used it-talk about tacky).

Shame that UTV is no more...

0:45. Goodbye to Ulster Television and Hello to UTV.

John Macleod can u help im trying to find ulster tv interview with ross mcclure or ross clark mcclure.

Missed the one they had with Philip McCallen doing the tune revving his bike was used for any motorcycle racing coverage on the channel

I remember the old UTV from 1993

Is it me or does the 0:49 (1993?) ident resemble the musical tone and even visual style of GMTV's first incarnation?

Because UTV (or Ulster Television was then) didn't use 1989 Generic Ident.
