I love the gentle rhythms and song of this artist...not too heavy on the drums and synthesizer...IMO, just perfect.

sisternyabinghi if you even dont knoe the right word, for our non existing country , stay where u are. i have sami roots in the family an people like you have destroyed everithing. the woods in finland look like not existing anymore, like the grey hairs of old men. i feel personally hurt when you name this beautiful land lapland.. you and other people and tourists with their big money purse are polluting the sea, the land and everithing. now its just the tourism wheremany people life fromin the baltics.when i seee how they spill their dirt from ther plasicd boats i ave no appetite for any food.

I realize that culturally, I'm a bit of an oddity. I'm an Orthodox Jew who loves Scandinavian mythology, who has spent over a decade learning Finnish, and who wrote a book about Leif Eriksson. So it really grates that I, of all people, am accused of not having sufficient respect for other people's cultures. But don't worry. That's nothing to the death threats I've already faced. :-)))

Oh, and incidentally, I saw several people comment on Sami music videos saying they are reminded of Native American melodies. Why don't you go and attack them because obviously they don't recognize the supreme originality of your music???? For anyone else who isn't biased: search for "Jewish violin", and listen to it, and then to this piece. Both are beautiful in a unique way, yet I perceive a resemblance as well.

Hanna Laakso well, there is several languages in sapmi, as northern sami, umesamish, aarjelsamegiella, inarisamegiella, kildinsamegiella, tersamegiella etc etc, so it is possible when a northern sami meets a kildinsame, they will not understnd ech other..also the sami languages are badly outnumbered, i mean the people who speak it, nowadays is so many people, who recover their sami-roots , there is not just 100000 sami living in the world, its much more! i know it because in canada, alaska, tere is also many of us, we have millions of cousins in the world, so dont fear and beloeve the sami is dying out! this is a racistical misinformation to weak up our resisance

+Anna Stroz Sången heter "Svanar kommer" och är nog en hyllning till vårvintern. Mars månad heter "njukca-mannu" på nord samiska och det är då svanar börjar komma in.

I said "reminiscent". I did not say "plagiarized" or "borrowed" or even "inspired by". You are capable of grasping the difference, I am sure. There are many beautiful art/music/dance styles in different cultures which overlap, because artists tried various things and reached the same results independently.r There is such a thing as coincidental likeness. If you take an innocent comment and somehow make of it an attack/disparaging remark on your culture, the problem is with you, sorry.

I doubt that DeatnuNieida2010 know you personally. I have a new theory about her. She wrote that she lost her child. It's about whether the world recognizes peoples pain and getting back at people who wont let her grieve. In her mind she's automatically right because she didn't hate her jewish stepmom.

i dont like people who lift up sami culture to the sky cos that can be a racism too, before they hated us and now it coes that everybody run around in saami fashion inspired dress, i dont like those fakes. gakti is an indigueunous clothing and is is for us. we dont like this fashion. when the trend is over, surely they will go on ignoring us as before. we are no superstars just humans fighting for survival , seen?

I was born as a Sami in Guovdageaidnu, but I was moved around to bulgaria, and now scotland,as my father is part scottish, but I miss the culture of the Sami so much, but I have bought a čiehgahpir to remind me of my origins and the beautiful culture. I am trying to look for more genuine clothing as I want to feel the magic of the clothing. I am also wanting to learn Northern Sami as I have pretty much forgotten it. If possible, could you tell me about what it is like up there now?

I agree with you except for the part where you said your clothes can't be worn by other people. Anyone can wear anything, you don't own fashion. I won't get pissed at you if you wear clothes from my culture, I would expect you'd extend the same courtesy to others.

+trygve guttornsen ok i dont like antisemitism too, but the discussion if someone is sami or not is useless and bad for us. are you a sami then? do u know why deatnunieida is so agressive? might be she is in a badf situation, some of us suffer from alcoholism, drug addictance and so on. please let down this plagiat discussion, it makes me tired and bored, we shout talk wit each other not about each other. the gossip is one of the reason for this situation, many people get depressed or ill in some other ways when the roots is hidden, yu know what i mean?

annasworld. you are respectless. you cannot compare your jewish history with our suffering from the ones who took our country, culture , murdered us and so on. so ths is not 1 to 1
