Lol they don't even know the instruments names are used in Indian classical music n they come here to give their opinion about classical music. One sentence for them "tum se na ho payega beta." 😂

The sounds sa re ga ma pa are the basic musical notes of Indian music like do re mi pha so la to de of western music

This is Indian Classical Music which is based and sung on Raags(collection of different set of nodes as per particular Raag, and there are many Raags which can be categorized on human mood/nature and time of the day/year) and in any Raag, a pre defined song is sung on that Raag (according to the nature of that Raag), here song is devotional composition(as I guessed), these compositions are written by various traditional poets and writers in Bharat time to time and are based on Tradition,Culture and Civilization aspect and Dharm(Religion which is predominantly Hindu/Sanatan Dharm which also include prayer/worship aspect of Hindu deities ) as here this song is being sung in "Bhimpalasi" Raag(set of nodes for that Raag)..hope this will help you a bit to understand about the background of ICM.. last but not the least watch and listen song carefully,enjoy it fully, recollect your thought and give your reaction in the end ,avoid interrupting in middle, this irritates people

"Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni, Sa" this is the basic vocals of Indian music. Every Word has its own pitch,tune and sound. That sound and pitch should not be changed. For example whenever you pronounce "Sa" it should be same every time. Music directors use this tunes to prepare a song. Once a tune is prepared and if any note, sound, tune missmatched it feels awkward. This is the basics

The box like instrument is Harmonium, and note that it’s origin is France. But it’s integral part of Indian Classical music. Now a days even French don’t use it. But it’s inseparable part of Indian classical Music.

Harmonium is mostly invariably used in North Indian (Hindustani) classical music. In South Indian ( Karnatak or Carnatic) Classical music, violin is used.

The vibrations are rolling over sub-notes . Listen more carefully. It is not vibration on one note. This rolling is called mir. Quick combinations of notes is called taan. When the notes (swaras) are sung as a.. a... (that is saying for example, a in place of Sa in that exact place in octave and then say for ga again "a" in that exact place in the octave), this kind of taan is called "atat".
