When I was in US Army, I was impressed with the professional and low key nature of UK military. Not many of them, happy Brits on our side, they are the best. Slava Ukraini!

Best country in Europe to train. The British army has traditional fought against armies double there size and still won. If the Ukrainians receive the same standard of training as there British counterpart, 1 Ukrainian trained soldier trained in the UK might be worth 2-3 Russian trained soldiers. If 30k Ukrainian soldiers are trained in the UK by April then they should be able to inflict another 90k-100k casualties on the Russians.

Good job, UK! You have the knowledge, the tools and the mindset to teach warriors.

I am happy to have the Brits as our allies and as our cousins, and that we are joined at the hips when it comes to the history of fighting common enemies and upholding our common causes based on almost identical geopolitical outlooks. As for those, Ukrainian warriors and patriots who are, against all odds, standing up to an overwhelming bully who wants to subjugate them and become their overlords, my hats are off to you all for your spirit of 'we will never go quietly into the night, but will fight until the very end". Their uncompromising spirit of patriotism and bravery will be talked about w/ awe and admiration for many generations to come. Slava Ukraine!

One of the things I like about the Ukrainian Soldiers is that many of them are not young men. Many of them are older men with Families to defend.

Denmark will support a British led training project with 130 Danish soldiers and simultaneously offers to train Ukrainian soldiers in Denmark. Therefor a dialog with Ukraine has been initiated regarding support in educating commanders and support to the Ukrainian Territorial Defence Force.

Vi træner også Ukrainere her i Danmark, og jeg har på fornemmelsen at vi træner piloter, kan selvfølgelig ikke være sikker, men bor tæt på skrydstrup og kan derfor ikke undgå at ligge mærke til alle de flyvninger der foregår idag. End ikke under den kolde krig var der så mange flyvninger som der er i dag. Men som sagt, det er et skud i tågen. Og ja vi træner også for en evt konflikt med rusland, men som sagt, langt flere flyvninger end den kolde krig.

Mate we are not saints, if there wasn't a political gain, no-one would be helping. It just so happens it is also in western countries interests to suppress and fund a war to help destabilise the Russian state and disconnect it from it's political allies. A good comparison would be Vietnam. Did the US support the South Vietnamese out of good will? No of course they didn't, it was a political move to destabilise and prevent the spread of communism in East Asia, same with Nicaragua and a long list of other Western funded wars.

The price to help them is small, and the result is TREMENDOUS to our geopolitical strategies. They probably do have military advisors on the ground in Ukraine. Plus of course British mercenaries and volunteers.

Thanks to the Canadians and the other Slavic and Baltic nations involved in the training too. It's a multi-lateral approach. The quality of training reflects the profound difference in approach the combatants have for their people. One side trained well in multiple scenarios, the other, left alone in a cold field for days with no food.

Immensely proud that you're receiving the best training in the world from an elite of empire that is world renowned in the British Army. Slava Ukraine.

The last few seconds of the Union Jack and the Ukrainian Flat being raised, on a UK military base at the same time was very special. Will be corrected if I am mistaken but don’t think that happens too often. Not often images send out such a powerful and just message. Partners!

@@harryhewitt6795 Their are many highly skilled US serviceman aiding the training of these troops as well as many from other nations ,and the benefit goes both ways returning US servicemen will have a wealth of additional experience which ill only enrich US forces.

This is so awesome. Ukraine is getting more and more well trained troops. Meanwhile, Russia just pumps out conscripts, many of whom don't even bother to fight.

That shot of the bloke taking notes was fantastic. Training exercises are something else when you're about to go and use these skills to defend your homeland from an invading force.

Awesome seeing these guys getting good training to build their skills and experience. Best of luck to them on the battlefield, l pity the Russians who they encounter. Former Brit Paratrooper/Pathfinder, 33 years served. 🇬🇧🇺🇦

This stuff is invaluable. I know not all will get this training, but if they can get key people to then filter this down to troops in the field, it will help. You only have to look online at the Russian training. They are all complaining about being dumped and left to their own devices. Some conscripts who were told they would get 2 months of training went to the front line after 2 days.

Prison conscripts with no training are no match for the Ukrainian western trained soldiers armed with superior weapons and the will to defend their homeland. I'm glad the UK is training them, we (New Zealand) have been training their artillerymen in the UK, I know other western nations are also providing training and equipment.

Great to see the Army training Ukrainians to defend themselves. The more the merrier - keep up the good work. Throughout the whole Ukraine war, during the absurdity of Johnson and Truss, there has been one admirable minister. Ben Wallace. Johnson did the photo-ops to try to distract from breaking his own laws, and the less said about Truss the better - but Ben Wallace has done the hard yards and his and the British armed forces efforts reflect the best of the British character.

@@marvinc9994 Bojo was desperate for anything to distract attention from his lies and corruption, not to mention systematic law breaking. I do not believe that he has ever stood FOR anything in his entire life, he is a chancer, that is all. I actually know somebody who worked closely with him when he was the catastrophic mayor of London, he started out with an open mind, and resigned after a month because he could not work with somebody who simply never knowingly or intentionally told the truth about anything.

But in terms of his _actions_ in supporting Ukraine and _whatever_ his underlying motives, he is (for once) to be congratulated IMHO: a right action even by a 'chancer' is STILL a right action. Yes ?

A large purpose of the UK military is to defend against the Russian threat. By supporting Ukraine we are eliminating that threat for a generation. Our military in training Ukraine are doing more good in defending Britian than the military has in 40 years.
