@@DrCrabfingers The lifting pancake airfoil fuselage of the SU-27 and MiG-29 series generate a TON of lift which means tighter turns and faster takeoff. Even more lift than canards.

ya i agree. its the high cockpit and that straight line along the jet after. its a sexy beast. The f-16 is like a really nice truck and the su-27 is like a really nice sports car.

Literally one of the best fighter pilots in the fighter pilot community. He came out of retirement to fight for his countries freedom and democracy. Whilst trying to lure Russian fighters deeper into western Ukraine to be engaged by SAMs and fighters he was hit by an s400 system from inside Belarus over 100km away. It makes me sad such a hero and patriot is no longer able to protect Ukrainian skies. But it’s not in vain, Colonel. We are going to make sure Ukraine wins and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦

I was at this event. This was by far the most stunning plane to look at, and probably the best display. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this display. Great footage not just of this aircraft but all the footage you have released. Great job.

Been several plus times to this event, went about 5 years on the bouncr at one time, gets better every time and never gets boring, was an awesome show this year. I agree, bring on next year.

One thing I’ll never get bored of hearing, those flanker’s Saturn engines ,absolutely awesome! And their maneuvering capabilities 😎

(Oleksandr Oksanchenko 1968-2022) recently died heroically in an air battle defending the Ukrainian sky from Russian fighter jets, he was awarded the highest award "Hero of Ukraine"

I was getting just a *little* bit stressed out when that rain settled in, and the sense of joy when it stopped and the sun broke through , and then saw it taxiing through the loom lens, was almost a palpable feeling :)

Great iron bird to domined the sky

Such an elegant design. It even has a tail sticking out for you to grab on, you know, when you play with your 1:48 plastic model.

Goosebumps on the back of the neck and pins and needles in the shines from engines wicked tones imagine watching 100 of these beasts and 100 f22 raptors fly into an engagement 😳 would you even see anything ?

@@lachychops2 Only ofc since the US decomissioned the tomcat and the pheonix missiles, they dont have long range air to air missiles anymore, only medium and short range, while the russians do have long range missiles in the R-37 ;)

The flanker is a long range aircraft. To that end it has built in tanks that supply the pilot hot and cold drinks through tubes. The first one we had at the Abbotsford Airshow the pilot was showing a few of us this feature. The hot drink- borscht broth. The other was ice cold vodka.

@@NigelWoolleyaviation yes I completely I agree with you! Also you have such a great collection of well filmed airshows in 4k looks great!! You should come over here and film at the EAA show in Oshkosh Wisconsin it's maybe the largest Airshow every year here in America I've been 5 times since 95, I met and talked with Chuck Yeager, Russ Shielding(he was the experimental pilot during the test phase of the YB49 the flying wing, .btw Jack Northrup is one of my hero's in this life! It took him his whole life to see his dream the B2 bomber come to life) and Robin Olds which I also have it all on high 8mm video! I love how the cockpit is up higher in rear end reason is so they can see 360 with any obstructions... And if Am I correct the engines are more powerful then our 2:1 thrust ratio compared to our old 4th gen aircraft like the F15..but the jet is heavier and it doesn't have the range that's the setback..still I think Suhkio makes such incredible fighter jets! They so beautiful it's flying art! Deadly art that is!😊👍🇷🇺

The Flanker has those gorgeous ballerina curves, so maneuverable. Definitely do not want to be in a close range guns dogfight with one of these. Lovely looking aircraft

They already did their spot - unfortunately with the cloaking capability working at 100% - so nobody managed to see them (typical Klingon humour) :0(

Hi Anthony! Yes for the AX53 and no for the Sachtler. I go hand held only to avoid tripping over tripods, missing high up maneuvers and tight crowded spaces. Cheers for watching :-)

@@anthonypeirce5875 Totally agree with you Anthony. The BOSS system should be in all the higher end Sony cameras to allow far more settings rather than just one manual option at a time with the AX53.

@@NigelWoolleyaviation well the su27 has a really great thrust to weight ratio. The engines can push the plane after really demanding maneuvers...ive personally never tried anything like a cobra or anything just riding it and training with it. It's a hard plane to learn.

I'm American all day and love our aircraft. With that being said Russia has created some beautiful aircraft themselves. The Su 27 being my favorite of the Russian Fighters. I'll say the F-15EX, the Eurofighter, the su27, Saab Gripen, Can't leave out the F-22 but I will leave out the 35 just because it's nowhere near as sexy as the 22. However If we wanna go back a bit in time I'll say the F-111 Aardvark, F-4 family, the Mig 29( I know, it can probably be on the newer fighters list since it's from the 80s but it is what it is) , Panavia Tornado, F-16, and possibly the most beautiful American fighter ever developed..... that sexy big ole tomcat. Bombers, B-1b Lancer 😭 while it's still in service, the Avro Vulcan, and the tu 22M3. I doubt anyone cares about this list I just got nostalgic after looking at the b 29s and the tu 95. Peace to Ukraine!!!! Stop the war pootin, regardless of whether or not NATO made Yeltsin or whomever a verbal promise that still doesn't gives Pootski the right to invade a sovereign country. Just like my country war wrong for invading Iraq, 110% wrong!! Putin is wrong for this in the same way.

I care about your list and totally agree with your aircraft choices whether past or present! It's often the older the aircraft become the more they are treasured (and yes far from excited about the F-35 looks). Pootin does need to to stop the Ukrainian war immediately. Totally unnecessary, totally inhumane and for what selfish reasons.

Just remember guys that the Ukrainian version of the flanker still uses old technology. They have the Version that was meant to fight the F-15A's back in the '80s when they were only using Semi-Active Missiles (R-27's/Aim-7's). Russia Has now upgraded its Su-27's (SM2/3) with a more powerful engine & modernized Avionics that have the ability to fire BVR Missiles like the R-77-1 (Equivalent to the Aim-120C) In which Ukrain will never get lol. They even Upgraded It's Infrared sensor too. The Su-27 SM2/3 is a much better version than the Old Su-27S.

Absolutely right. :) Plus, Ukrainian planes are from early production series, they are the most worn-out from all Flankers that are still in service.

I don't know much about the level of avionics and general improvements the Russians or the Chinese posses now, but based on flight performances alone, to me the Flanker jets are the most accomplished of the 4th generation, something even the 5th generation didn't really surpass. The power and payload of a heavy fighter with the maneuverability of a light one.
