@@JimKat5646 but NATO hasn't been getting stronger. It's been sending it's equipment to Ukraine while struggling to replace it. It's been being divided by different conflicts and allegiances. The economies that make it up have all been steadily getting worse. None of those same things are true for Russia. Its economy has grown significantly, it's industrial capacity has skyrocketed. It is replacing weapons with ease and at a faster pase than all of NATO combined. And it is strengthening it's alliances with some of the most powerful nations on earth. It also has 100 million more people than Ukraine, all while taking significantly smaller losses on the battlefield.

So there’s been foreigners fighting with Ukraine and we as natos countries have given what we consider obsolete equipment. The money hasn’t really been going to Ukraine. It’s been going to bolster natos readiness to fight .

This situation really is a wake-up call for Western allies that are dependent on the US military industrial complex. If the US government can be influenced by Russian assets, it clearly demonstrates a need to decouple from US specific weapons systems. Collaboration between “other” nations in the development of weapons systems and manufacturing would seem to be the direction now. We can’t allow ourselves to be controlled by hostile US politicians…especially those that are not even elected.

I am convinced by assertions of retired American military and intelligence officers like Douglas McGregor and Scott Ritter, who state this war was entirely unnecessary and could have been avoided by more prudent U.S. foreign policy for the past ten years. german here; take a look back at WW2, france and britain appeased hitler by giving him parts of what is today czechia. worked well, considering that only a few months later, he invaded poland, france, belgium, most of middle/eastern europe, started bombing britain, attacking american supplie-ships etc. the only reason that the soviet union came out of WW2 as a 'hero' was because hitler broke the molotov-ribentropp-pact and attacked stalin before stalin could do the very same to hitler. its the most well known example in autocratic human history of appeasement gone wrong, but not the only one. we could mention japan and manchuria, russia and a whole lot of countrys, of course germany again with austria, but this time alongside italy and huge swaths of northern africa. there is also (same time period) spain and... well, spain XD could go further back to the napoleonic era, but i think i made my point. esspecially with a look back at the history of my own country, i cant believe anyone would ever try to appease fascist-nationalist autocrats again, but here trump goes. all in an insane attempt to retain his illusion of power and wealth, which will hopefully finally crumble after americas next election.

It's not the shortage of equipment the problem, as it is unsolvable anyway, total yearly production of such within the entire NATO countries doesn't even represent 2 months of russian production. The major problem is men, Ukraine has no more men, Zelensky has killed the entire Ukrainian army, and even with constant and forced drafting, they have no more men!!! The war is lost, Ukrainians don't support it anymore , nor do they support the Zelensky's regime, hence the cancellation of the past 2 elections. Enough is enough, the USA has played long enough with the lives of Ukrainian!

What if our children and people here in the US, get drafted if Putin wants to restore the Russian Empire in 2024? If Russia attacks a NATO nation to fulfill historic land acquisition, the USA is bound by NATO treaty to treat it as a direct attack on the USA. If that happens, I think the US will be giving up human American lives, not just money. And we will be dearly wishing we gave more weapons to Ukraine to ket them do the dirty work. I think we are paying less than 1% of taxes while nearly every Ukrainian knows another Ukrainian who died.
