Now we see that with all that help from 50 rich countries they're only loose territory, already lost more than was their gains in 2023' counter-offensive. There's also no men willing to fight for their country left, they closed the borders and literally catch recruits on the streets. The french though the maginot line could keep the germans at bay (but it didn't) In this situation, the ukrainians overstimated their defenses with the lack of manpower (For example, terrotorial and national guard brigades. I believe that they weren't experience and weren't equipped with a lot of heavy equipment) This also tells us that ukraine fell in for the russian trap in kharkiv, which drove off experienced brigades (Which I believe it could be the 93rd Mechanized Brigade? Correct me if I'm wrong) and left a few of the parts in the front completly vunerable to russian attacks. And I think I've heard a comment talking about how the russians are sending small recon squads in many inactive or active fronts in order to find out the weak points of the ukrainians and could smash right through their lines with mechanized infantry, tanks, drones and etc.

I think the Russians try to lose the less soldiers possible that's why it looks kinda slow but in reality they're going faster en faster each months. I think onthe long term starategy they don't have any interest to blitzkrieg Ukraine, because it could make Nato crazy; they have to make look this war boring and useless like Afghanistan was for US.

@@off6848 Could be. But it's a very risky maneuver if they're still outnumbered significantly in that area. Where numbers and firepower are evenly matched, there's a _very_ fine line between "encircling" and "being encircled". And to an extent, a maneuver can be both at the same time. One of the reasons I estimate that Ukrainian manpower self-reporting is grossly inflated, is that in the past 9+ months Russia has been very flippant and eager to make encircling advances. Which means they have very little concern of being overwhelmed and cut off. It means that Russia is winning, in an undeniably dramatic fashion. But is that true north of Kharkiv? According to recent reports, no... but the situation may have changed.

These 10-story commie blocks! Each of these bunkers can take a company of soldiers to capture and even then because the buildings are so close it's a sniper heaven. I do not talk bullshit I've been to such districts I know that they are built like a fortress and that buildings offer little cover because of the way they were built. All around windows, the enemy can track your movement inside the apartments and all apartments are connected to a staircase so if you control the staircase you control one level. And there are 10 levels. How did they manage to do that? I need answers 😊

1:19 We must be aware that our ability to determine the exact frontline in those city battles are highly limited, to learn more how this works i recommend the Stalingrad series of the history youtube channel TIK. City battles are very dynamic, changing from hour to hour, its not like the trench warfare in the open fields as we know in Ukraine. We have no idea who is actually in which house or how the landscape has changed after FAB bombing. Its ok for an overall picture, but its highly unlikely that there is this narrow passage of 2 houses where all the russians are going threw.

The difference now is that Russia has thermobaric rockets and bombs This gives a unique advantage when seiging fortified buildings because it’s not dependent on blasting open a building but rather if the building is not sealed up tight (they have holes all through them) the vacuum bomb will suck the air out injuring everyone inside The strength of the steel and concrete doesn’t matter Otherwise these are some of the toughest buildings in the world

The Russian Federation has gained about 180 000 km2 of new land including infrastructure, real estate and mineral resources, plus about 4 000 000 new population, i.e. consumers, taxpayers, business activities and human potential in general. Only this new income probably already outweighs the costs of maintaining several hundred thousand soldiers plus weapons/equipment in special military operation activities. The Russian Federation will take as much of ukruine as it wants, when it wants, and it can do so for decades at very low cost. and if it needs more military personel, perhaps the chairman kim jong un can help, he has 4 million troops at his immediate disposal and many more on call.

Most of these play by play football reviews of the war are not accurate because nobody really knows. Even if your a participant on the battlefield your not going to know the bigger picture unless your a mid-grade to General grade officer.
