There still are plenty of people, but the problem is to train them, organize them, feed them, arm them, equip them etc.. keeping 700-800k army in 25mil country is too much for the productivity, so they are completely hanging on foreign help. While 140mil Russia can still afford to keep 2mil army long term without issues.

Zelenskyy officially cancelled Minsk Spring 2021, Also, the only side that was being sanctioned for lack of implementation was Russia,. where Russia had nothing to do other than guarantee its implementation, In the same time, Ukraine had no intention to give its Russian speaking population equal cultural and language rights. Finally, the West destroyed 1 agreement and attempt at another in 2022, solely because Ukraine's role is to fight Russia for the West's sake.

A war of attrition We know Ukraine has had over 500,000 KIA, the BBC just did an analysis saying the Russian KIA number is likely less than 50,000 So we're talking a 10:1 ratio The same figure will doubtless also come through in equipment numbers (because attrition is more than just men of course)

Novomihailovka is a large village south of Donetsk that was key in defending ukrainian supply lines in the south. Novobakhmutovka is a small village north-west of Avdeevka. By itself it's not that important, but it's one of the many villages AFU can no longer defend due to their loss of Ochernyno without risking getting encircled.

And right when they were about to be rotated out after a full year of non-stop fighting, they get sent right back into yet another hellfire. Life is not daijoubu for the 47th guys 😥

With the war being micromanaged by the Pentagon and UK it says a lot about the NATO military minds too. They have never had to fight a peer competitor and it shows. They have never fought an enemy they couldn't overwhelm with weapons and manpower too. If it has been fought by Americans it would have been over in the first year but Ukrainians aren't scared by the sight of their own blood and refuse to quit like Russians do.
