Ukraine to Gaza, Europe is on a Self-Destructive War Drive w/ Prof Wolfgang Streeck

See the full episode on Patreon: / ukraine-to-gaza-92244989
So what’s new with the war in Ukraine? Is anyone winning? How will it impact the future of Europe and NATO? What are the similarities to the war on Gaza? How will escalation in the Middle East impact Ukraine? And how is the war on Gaza exposing all the hypocrisy of the EU in particular?
To discuss this and more, Rania Khalek was joined by prolific writer and author Wolfgang Streeck, Emeritus Director at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies.

A slight majority of US voters still support Israel. That's a problem. One of the reasons is the influence of the AIPAC lobby. But another important reason is the media mostly don't talk about the issue unless there is a war happening in Gaza and they mostly blame Hamas. When the war is over, they become silent. But most of the atrocities against the Palestinians happen in the West Bank all throughout the year. Land theft, unjust imprisonment of men, women and children, the reckless killing of protesters, even journalists, cruel and discriminatory treatment of Palestinians, settler violence etc. etc. etc. happen non-stop in the West Bank. We need to always spread the truth about the situation to Americans to change their minds. ☺😥😥

The phrase one military man on video, perhaps Wilkerson, or MacGregor offered was something like President Putin focuses seriously on his war caring not much what is said of it, while for the U.S. it involves a lot of "stagecraft" to be managed. One aspect which much struck me was the constant media demonization of Mr. Putin with style and method not new to me. His image is rendered debased, defaced, criminalized, pathologized, vulgarized of intent, that's a useful one, he's rendered toxic as a rôle model, his psyche is in a sense "gerrymandered" and left not all there, along with his character, we are assured that as myth, he is red-lined "forever," possibly headed to the "The Lake of Fire," right? His personal, national and global politics are "neutered" for us happily by experts at denigrating type media, all of it, it looks to me. His personal culture and his view of culture is victimized, and it is expected that the haters and dunderheads out there will blithely extend that to all Russians, which is a terrible thing, that of being so victimized, but all very properly imperialist, and Mr. Putin wasn't blind to it. I pointed out to a cop the media role in providing War drum inspiration for haters and wackos who intentionally hurt or kill people, "the enemy," and she responded that I had better things to think about, at my age. 🍷😮 !

A deep-seated feeling of envy is at the heart of the West's harsh criticism of Putin. During the Ukrainian crisis, geopolitical tensions between Russia and NATO got worse. This has sped up Russia's ongoing transformation. Imperial sanctions became the only way that people in Putin's government could make a difference. Due to its structure, it is difficult for Russia's strategic autocracy to fall under pressure from other nations and organizations. By carefully studying and analyzing geopolitics, President Putin and his staff have shown they are brilliant and skilled at managing international affairs. Vladimir Putin skillfully explains his thoughts with unmatched clarity and displays a calm demeanor that shows his unshakable devotion to his country. Even though they have been involved in discussions about lying, cheating, arrogance, and fear-mongering, it is sad that the leaders of the United States have not taken any significant steps to promote positive change. It is a common observation that leaders in the Western world frequently resort to using concise and attention-grabbing statements, commonly referred to as sound bites. Consequently, it is doubtful that one would come across any instances that deviate from this prevailing trend. NATO incurred significant financial losses due to the proxy Ukrainian conflict. Harbor a profound skepticism towards the Western world and prioritize cultivating one's reputation over the accumulation of material wealth, be it in the form of currency, silver, or gold. The Global South often finds themselves pausing with a sense of unease when expressing that Russia, akin to any other nation, possesses a plethora of commendable attributes to offer. Imagine a scenario wherein President Biden or any other esteemed Western statesman is compelled to engage in a question-and-answer session devoid of written aids or premeditated inquiries. Notwithstanding this impediment, their comprehension of history is commendable, and they possess the ability to explain it in a manner that is deemed satisfactory. This predicament exhibits a conspicuous figure of authority. No doubt, conversing with a bright and enlightened person who can share knowledge and insights without insulting other countries is energizing. In terms of being a wise leader, President Putin is the perfect example. The remarkable aptitude of President Putin for effectively articulating the objectives and intentions of his administration is truly noteworthy. Mr. Putin has the necessary qualifications to assume a leadership role and demonstrates a profound understanding of the historical context and factual intricacies of the Russian Federation and its neighboring nations. President Putin shall be duly acknowledged as an exemplary statesman who valiantly combated imminent perils and championed the cause of global welfare to avert calamities.

But at the same time the US and Europe are sending more military aid to Ukraine. I think most Europeans are not confused by the Ukrainean Conflict and it was Orchestrated by NATO we have the mails. Obviously the Italian Media is playing the fact she should have been more careful, the truth is her statement was spot on. It just highlights our politians will do and say what ever they are told at the same time behind closed doors they are aligned with their public.

Brief history of the Levant or Palestine/Israel: The natives of the land of the Levant were pagans before Abraham started his mission in the 18th century BCE. Then they became Jewish majority before the Roman invasion of Palestine. They converted to Christianity over the next few centuries, which became the dominant religion by the 4th or 5th centuries AD. Muslims arrived in the 7th century AD and by the 10th century Islam became the dominant religion in Palestine. None of those conversions were forced. The adoption of each of these faiths was gradual and over centuries. The Romans didn't force the Jews out of Palestine. They suppressed their revolt by force. Jews lived all over the Roman world. Christian Byzantium did didn't force the Jews out of Palestine. Jews lived freely in Byzantium. Muslims neither forced Jews nor Christians out of Palestine. Those communities lived freely inside the Muslim world since the 7th century. This is a brief history of the Semitic Jews. To demonstrate this more clearly, we know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, grew up in Nazareth, and left this world from Jerusalem, all Palestinian towns. He was a Palestinian Jew. Modern day Palestinians are the direct descendants of his people. The east European Caucasian Jews are not brown Semitic people. They adopted Judaism in East Europe over several centuries because they didn't accept Jesus as god. They faced persecution in Europe because of their belief. Then, they saw their opportunity after world war one when the Ottoman Empire which controlled Muslim Palestine collapsed. This accelerated after the Holocaust. They used their influence to colonize disposes, evict and destroy the local population. They created a European style imperial colony in an inhospitable land. To sustain this enterprise, they had to adopt a racist ideology which later morphed into a full blown apartheid state.

Hamas is just like the Viet Cong and the Viet Minh, not ISIS. They are a guerrilha resistance force fighting against foreign occupation and colonialism. Every single resistance guerrilha force has been called a terrorist. Every single one of them. In fact, we are all against Israel in all its forms. Anyone who goes to live in occupied Palestine sits in a house stolen with the blood of the Palestinians. They are no different from each other, they are all Nazis. Except only the children, but they are all without exception. If you do not live with them, please do not judge. They are the worst creatures you can see in your life. Their hearts are black, and they see themselves as above everyone, and above you even, and that they are God’s chosen people who do what they want with anyone.
