I agree with you I believe they know what India wants and they may use this to submit India to do what they want. They know that India wants to be a regional superpower, they may falsely promise India support to be the leader of the Indian subcontinent if India do whatever they want. Think with me. Russia is the leader of Eastern Europe, China lead the Eastern Asia, South Africa lead Southern Africa and Brazil leads Southern America, but India is not accepted as leader or the voice of the Indian subcontinent, because Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka doesn’t see India as leader and Pakistan has deep problems with India. They are much more resource-rich than India, and are probably the most resource-rich country in the world. So if they choose to tie their supply of precious resources to their neighbors with good behaviour by those neighbors toward them, then that's their sovereign right. Remember, Russians have always lived in Ukraine. Western half of Ukraine belonged to Poland, while eastern half belonged to Russia. Poland and Russia both referred to their respective areas as their "borderlands"(word "Ukraine" means "borderland"). So this new country called "Ukraine" is just an artificial entity that didn't exist prior to WW2.

Ukraine is used by America as a spear to poke Russia, just like Pakistan is used by America as a spear to poke India. America doesn't care about what happens to Ukrainians, and just wants to use them to fight Russians to last drop of Ukrainian blood. Similarly America used Japan to fight Russia, but then nuked them - twice - a mere few years later. Similarly America used Afghans to fight Moscow, creating jihadists in a country which originally had none, then later America itself came to carpet-bomb them. Ukrainians should not have blindly trusted these faraway strangers to come tell them how to deal with their longtime neighbors and fellow Slavs.
