Ukraine’s farmers on edge as Russia halts grain deal • FRANCE 24 English

Russia said on Monday that it had halted participation in a landmark UN-brokered deal that allowed Ukrainian grain to be exported through the Black Sea. The deal, which was struck last July, has helped stabilise grain prices and feed millions. FRANCE 24’s Mayssa Awwad and Georges Yazbek report from Ukraine's agricultural heartland.

@@zenster1097 Not sure what you mean exactly. My comment is that news media organizations tell stories, and not a source of facts. This one has an interview with a Ukrainian Farmer who is talking and is telling falsehoods. France 24 allows his untrue facts to repeated. There are several sources, including Ukrainian gov't own stats that say almost NO grain from the Ukraine goes to Africa. The reality of this is that the black sea shipping option, will cause the shipping costs to go up and profits to go down. There are many options for Rail to ship the grain. There are dozens of rail lines that enter the EU. These could be used. These are not desirable because the rail lines are use primarily for people, and putting freight on them will disrupt people transportation, but if people are starving ... I think a little inconvenience would be worth it. My point is the narrative and story here falls apart quickly if you know the facts.

We should get 500 US military heavy-duty cargo planes, and it would take a lot of flights but we could do it by plane. We're talking huge cargo bays.

All this could have been avoided. If the United States and NATO would not have planted Zelenski. Now we have many dead innocent Ukraine and Russian men. Pray for Donald Trump. He could have help prevent this tragedy.

Seek PEACE (safety of lives) first, NOT Grains!!! The Ukrainian leaders must return to a comprehensive peace agreement: the "grains" are not more important than human lives! Ukraine has been destroyed by the USA-led West!!!
