I was born in Bakhmut. This is a small town that few people knew about. I dreamed that they would find out about it because of the champagne or salt that were there, because of the things I was proud of. Now almost the whole world knows about him. And I don't care because I just want to go home. It annoys me that I can't do it, I can't stop the hell that's going on there, I can't stop the murders that are happening there (and in principle all over Ukraine). All I have to do is believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and make sacrifices for the army.

In my opinion, Russia is doing absolutely right with Ukraine army and people of Ukraine because the support of Ukrainian politicians has always been more with western countries than Russia and there has been neither friendship nor honesty towards Russia. Russian troops have used spades/ entrenching tools in close combat for decades, they are very effective. Having said that , with the massive superiority in artillery, Russia won’t need to use them very often.

When i was 20 or so i wrote a paper for my psychology class giving the causes and a solution for the war we had in 2002. Basically my solution was listening to the enemy and understand the "why".. I had 0/100 and was told that what i wrote was extremism. When i understood the teacher had something against me personally afterward, I quit that class mid term failing it with the lowest grade i ever had in my life.

Last thing Ukraine want to do is send tanks into Bakhmut. In Stalingrad, Germany destroyed the city and in turn, created far better defensive positions against tanks and vehicles. It;s the same as what's happening in Bakhmut. Russia have destroyed it, it created better defensive positions and the only way to take it was from men, storming buildings. Now send a dozen Leopards in, they will get obliterated. Better to keep them in the fields and on the high ground.

A breakdown of Russian leadership & military achievements so far during the war in Ukraine. *Over a year into a 10 day 'special military operation'. *Failed to take Kyiv. *Failed to remove Ukrainian leadership. *Changed their strategic plan multiple times after each failure. *Changed the top General running the war 4 times since the beginning of the war. *Still have not gained air-superiority despite having a supposedly far superior airforce. *A number of ships of the Black Sea Fleet either, sunk, or damaged, including the flag-ship Moskva by a country with basically no navy. *Took, but could not hold, the tiny Snake Island. *Still trying to take Bakhmut after more than 8 months of trying. *Significantly boosted NATO membership and strength after Sweden and Finland decided to join the defensive alliance. *Ensured Ukraine's eventual membership of the EU and, longer term, most likely also into the NATO alliance. *Suffered massive troop and equipment losses. *Lost more ground in 1 month then what was taken in 5 months. *Lost many of their international friends and partners. *Became one of the biggest arms suppliers to Ukraine from abandoned and captured hardware. *Committed multiple war crimes. *Decided to mobilise an additional 300,000 extra troops at month 7 of the 10 day 'special military operation' and will likely also soon announce a second mobilisation. *Destroyed their economy for decades to come and turned many of their biggest trading partners against them. *Could not even defend the most defended bridge in the world. *Can't defend their military airbases over 500km inside Russian borders. *Showed regular displays of very poor fire safety and smoking in non-designated areas. *Resorted to nuclear threats against a non-nuclear nation and the rest of the world. *Targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure because they have run out of ideas about how to win this war. *Tactically and logistically incompetent and have a very poor understanding of combined-arms warfare. *Fast running out of precision strike capability and have limited ability to build more without western supplied parts. *Lost Kherson. *Flushed their future down the toilet. I feel Ukraine is going to try and hold onto Bakhmut until the 'spring offensive' when they will attempt to push back Russian forces there and elsewhere with renewed strength and capabilities. They do not want to give Russia any semblance of a victory anywhere.

There's really no sense in refusing to withdraw from bakhmut as this will only mean more deaths and suffering for the Ukrainian side. BBC and others can report whatever they like but the hard truth on ground is that Bahkmut like Mariopol has fallen. God bless Putin and Russia.
