Gerard should call for a summit with Nigel (after hiving a free copy of Tommy's book to Nigel) and Tommy, and Ann Marie Waters, and Katie Hopkins, and Paul Weston, Lord Pearson, Lord Green, Baroness Cox, Dan Hannan, Godfrey Bloom, Janice Atkinson, Julie Hartley Brewer, and Douglas Murray, to put together a unifying manifesto of priorities that their parties can agree upon so that they can endorse each other's candidates in non-competing constituencies, and if possible - merge. Tommy's defenders among this diverse group ought to be able to mollify Nigel's misgivings, and Gerard has spoken respectfully about Ann Marie. Come together, divided they fall!

I don't think it's far right to be very concerned about Islam or to see that Tommy Robinson is not quite how he is painted.. I read Enemy of the State and if I'd grown up where he did and been treated the way he is I would have felt the same way he does.

3 minutes in and Wright says he "Tends to go by the rule of law (Whose laws exactly?), rather then peoples subjective ah very subjective opinions of the rule of law" but doesnt answer Battens point that although Tommy has had charges pleading guilty doesnt mean you are guilty and that the state used making his wife public, which Tommy has, with all the death threats daily and osman warnings, managed to maintain privacy, so the state knew they could shut Tommy up for awhile by making this threat, based on a bogus search and warrent I'll add!

The way Gerald Batten calmly reacted to the underhand tactics and bigotry of the interviewer shaws that he has the makings of wise political leader reminiscent of Clement Attlee. I'm so glad Gerard Batten didn't seemed phased by it and was able to stand his ground, it's so nice to see a strong leader of a political party who clearly wants to be upfront and honest about what he stands for and do right by people.

Thanks Mathew. You just convinced me that supporters of the EU, like yourself, are, at best childish. You lost the argument and almost started to cry. If Mathew thinks that we are in a financially prosperous time then its best that he looks out of his front door and see all the homeless people lining the streets. Just because the wealthy are doing fine does not mean that the ordinary working man can afford a £300,000, 2 up 2 down house.

Don't forget the art of a good interviewer is to needle the interviewee and how. Matthew did that. It would have been a boring interview if Batten had not had to answer (and succeed I believe in addressing) the usual establishment puke about Tommy. I am with you on this. But like the supposedly establishment figure of John Humphreys who is often criticized in the same vein, his job is to play to the other side, which of course is immensely valuable to the well prepared interviewee, as they can then ruthless expose the weakness of their opponents, which is what happened. Whatever we may think of Matthew's views, he actually did a good job in allowing Gerard to come out with all guns accurately calibrated and get strong bursts of fire in with no jams. Great interview. This is why Gerrard Batten is leader. I joined up because he knows where he is going with this. And... Nigel Farage on this occasion is wrong. I feel that TR has a lot to offer and grumpy old girls / gits like me who know their politics better than some think are going to be impressed.

@@Surfer7901 I am with you, however, the point of an interview is to let the guest speak. Establishment interviewers like Humphries/Wright/Newman/Guru Murthy/Paxman, all assume what the response will be and interrupt with different questions relentlessly until the original point is lost, therefore preventing the guest from defending themselves against the original accusation of 'sexism/ racism/ islamaphobia/. It takes a really strong demeanour to stay calm. Reese Mogg, Farage, Batton, Katie Hopkins and Jordon Peterson excel in this department but Tommy Robinson finds himself being pushed around by the likes of Paxman and never gets a chance to finish a sentence. Clashing swords with a highly intelligent 'alpha male' like Paxman is tough even for politicians. Unfortunately Tommy will always be viewed by many as a bad lad because most people watch the BBC.

UKIP is the phoenix rising. The next election will be the biggest shock since Trump and Brexit.

No wonder the Mathew Wright show got replaced

Matthew Wright: My parents are Bahrainian immigrants to the U.K. For the first 23 years of my life I lived as Sunni Muslim. I left the cult because I’m gay. If you ever took the time to read the Medina Qur’an or Mohammed’s Hadiths, you’d very quickly realise why my sexuality is such an issue. And why it is that I had to move 400 miles from where I was raised, and why I now live in almost constant fear. Since coming out to my parents 18 years ago, I have been physically attacked more than 40 times - always by Muslims, most of whom were former friends, and even family members. My parents haven’t spoken to me in that time. I have 5 siblings, and out of them, only one speaks to me. One of my brothers helped to hand out leaflets to members of the Islamic community in which I was raised; informing them that I was mukhannathun - I’ll leave it to you to research that term - and an apostate. Both of which opened me up to the abuse I’ve received over the last 18 years. I fully support Tommy Robinson and Gerard Batten in their efforts to shine a light on Islam and its barbaric and backwards attitudes towards life in the west. I don’t want to live in a country that cedes to the Shar’ia, because doing so is a death sentence to me and people like me. Instead of talking over Mr Batten and mocking him with petty jibes and blatant lies, try listening to him, you absolute cretin. He is one of only a few people left in society who have the balls to tell the truth about Islam. Whereas, you and your ilk are part of the problem.
