Talk about the Sylvia Lining of Ukay Ukay 😏
not everything that is sold in thrift shops is 2nd hand, some are phased out/discontinued or old stocks. I can say this as a fact because I worked in NATASHA warehouse and that is what they do to some stocks, they sell shoes for more than 60% discount and so as with apparels and bags.

yess. my aunt also worked in the warehouse of a famous shop here in ph and my mom said they do it too.
Just say "hi ate ganda or kuya pogi" with a smile the moment you start to ukay. That's +10 tawad pts already.
i feel like i won’t get bored if i'm with jessica, like she’ll make sure to always entertain and inform you so you don’t end up out of place. you know, that excitement and adventure is her.
There are Chain Thrift Store here in US. The most popular are Goodwill and Salvation Army. Sometimes I go there and find brand new clothes in a very cheap price. Mostly, I send it to PH for gifts and for sale. I don't know if there are department stores which sells brand new authentic signature items like 40-50% off there in Korea. I usually buy those typical products like Nike, Adidas, CK, MK, Guess, Coach, Lacoste, DKNY, Converse, New Balance, Under Armour, RayBan, Burberry, etc and I get it 20 - 40% off because I have a discount card. Famous chain stores are Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Norstrom, and Burlington. I don't usually buy full priced items.
The thing about these types of markets is even though you know it's fake you just can't help not buying things that are so pretty yet so cheap. Even if it does not last as long as the authentic ones it will still serve its purpose which is to make you look good and/or to make you feel good about yourself. And if you take care of it some might actually last very long. Portion of my clothes are from Ukay ukay. My friends always compliment how luxurious I would look on them even tho I only bought them for like 10 pesos per item (whenever the stores do a massive sale before restocking). My sister is good at sewing and helps me fix or costumize them and is actually artistic enough to make good old looking clothes look new and even better. Even though we can afford expensive and branded clothes and even if our father insist that those are the ones we should buy (he believes it's more worth it in the long run) we will still go to ukay ukay, it just became a part of us haha.
I was in Philippines some years back. Ukay okay there was sooooo good. We found the best stuff there.

Same! The stuff that you get from ukay-ukay shops back in early 2000's were amazeballs!!! I built a whole wardrobe of luxury designers (not counterfeit!!!) just by shopping from ukay shops! A former colleague of mine owned a big ukay-ukay shop in Makati and, every time new boxes drop at her shop, my friend and I would be the first ones to rummage through them! We've become 'pros' at ukay-shopping that we've visited practically every ukay shops in Manila, Tagaytay and Baguio during those years.

@@dluckygurl8 Oh really. I lived in Olangapo and Subic Bay. The Ukay-Ukay shops were in the market areas. With or without Ukay-Ukay, even the malls for some reason have the best stuff. I feel shopping at the Philippines is more fun than anywhere else. I even bought the first plus sized bikini from Philippines, as I could never find it anywhere else. I know now there are a ton of options. But back then for plus size it was hard to find the right shops.
6:31 We Filipinos love to buy clothes eventhough it's fake. I personally don't look at the brand, if it's suit me and its price is reasonable. I will buy it. HAHAHAHAHA 😂😂
8:49 "sa kabila 100 pesos lang!" so legit HAHAAHAHHAHAHA

I can relate with this so much 😂😂😂
I love going to ukay2. I think 90% of my clothes I bought it from ukay2 coz I'm from Baguio City. 😉 Even if we go to Japan, we always go to 2nd hand stores. If you just have the patience to roam around and scrutinize you can really find good stuff, slightly used and even brand new. More so if you know original branded clothes/stuff just like jessica and sylvia. 😍😍. One of my bucket lists is to go to S.Korea (Seoul, Busan, Jeju particularly) so if I'll have the chance, I'll definitely visit the thrift stores there. 🙏🙏
I was studying korean, but the notification popped up, so that's why I'm here, studying can wait SKL😅😅😅, anyways stay safe always Ate JeSyl Noonas💙💙💙

Same AHAHAHAHA
When I was a kid they are selling real and authentic clothes and stuff in Baguio and now it's changing Most of them are selling imitation products 😅 So me and my mom would go on every shop(to find the cheap and original ones) and I don't know how she can remember the shops that we went
Still expensive though 'coz in the Philippines in any ukay ukay store you can only purchase those, ranging from 50 to 100. Anyways you have a wonderful taste♥️♥️♥️

Because its fake thats why it's very cheap
Another vlog content that Ived been waiting, this is the reason why I really love Jessica and Sylvia unnie together because I've learned a lot from both of them.☺💕 Stay safe from both of you, I really love this content. You both makes me happy again!! #JeSyl😊
I'm same with Jessica & Sylvia when it comes to shopping. I don't really shop a lot and I don't care what brand I wear or if it's brandless 😂 I only even buy shoes or bags if malapit na masira. I sometimes question myself if I'm really a girl. I don't go out all the time anyway. I don't have anywhere to wear more clothes. I miss going to Ukay too 😁
I'm not that sure with the price being cheap or expensive, I think it's kinda similar with the items being in good condition. I only bought football shoes in one so I didn't have the full ukay knowledge but when I walk near these stores, I usually see all items being in the cheapest range with the lowest of 10 to maybe 100 pesos and it has a wide array of style which if you are really an expert in fashion and styling clothes, you can get a ton of trendy get up and accessories for dirt cheap price
ukay ukay in Philippines was just so amazing like It's so affordable. And I really enjoy buying ukay ukay clothes in just a small amount you can buy a lot of clothes. Who's here love ukay ukay shopping?
ukay-ukay probably came from hukay-hukay or to Dig. ukay-ukay is usually a second hand RTW ( ready to wear) clothes. usually imported clothes.
Ukay-ukay adik here in Korea 😄🙋🏻♂️
the best find was the Obey brand.. so neat and cool
Jess was sooo cute doing the tawad sketch; I think the adidas shirt was really cool, it's hard to find that type of design now. Totally enjoyed this episode Jess.
I love the vintage of the video (and all your videos) 🥺 and i love that even if it's just a vlog.. i am learning something 💕
I LIKE IS YOUR AUTHENTIC ADIDAS SHIRT BECAUSE ITS VERY HARD TI FIND THAT KIND OF OLD LOGO AND ITS VERY NICE FOR YOU
I really love Sylvia’s description - loves red horse 😂
That Burberry item reminded me of the Burberry dress that I bought at our town's ukay ukay center for only Php 30. It was definitely a steal!!
I like the way how jess express herself asking tawad 🤗🤗🤗☺️☺️☺️
I bought my winter jacket in a thrift store and its worth it for only 15,000₩ originally price range in the mall are 100,000~350,000₩
Jessica unnie can you please post one vlog a day? 😁 (kidding aside) cause we never get bored nor tired of watching you. Especially with Sylvia 💜 love you both
In the US they have Goodwill and Salvation Army stores all over. They also have some charity org Thrift Shops. When I was young my grandpa frequently goes to a Thrift Shop in Ermita which sells US dry goods.
Dongmyo? Miss ko na mag ukay-ukay dyan 😍
Me and my mom usually do this and I'm so happy that she bought me jackets, t-shirts, sweaters and Pants that ranges from 50-250 pesos. I also bought a pair of boots for around 300 pesos the price depends on the brand of clothing in some Ukay Ukay stores.😆😄
I want to know how koreans perceive thrift shopping. Like how it is here in the PH where it was thought of with a negative connotation before it was trendy.
2:28 I literally have this t shirt and I love this HAHAH
for hygienic purposes, i think you should soak them with warm water and wash them before wearing them.
resembles Divisoria, 168, tutuban
It's so fun watching you po, while doing an ukay-ukay shopping. Love from Ph🇵🇭
Knowing you went to Bacolod makes me happy. I wish when you get back in the PH I could at least see you in person :)
Fun fact: Most (if not all) ukay-ukay in Ph are imported from Korea. In my place, there’s this very famous ukay-ukay shop with a lot of Korean ukay-ukay stuffs and it’s selling a lot.
Loved the video. Would be awesome if there was a part 2!
Hello @Jessica Lee... can you try making GRAHAM BALL??? I think Syliva would love it
Ate jessica and ate sylvia are so cute together❤️I'm always watching your vlog and ate jessica's vlog. Take care always. 🇵🇭
Nice Obey sweatshirt damn. Love thrift shopping as well.
Happy to see these similarities between Korea and Philippines, God bless to both of you 🤗❤️🇵🇭🇰🇷
Ukay- ukay is actually a Bisaya (dialect) term meaning hukay hukay (tagalog) or digging deep... digging deep through a pile of used clothes and accessories. Sometimes you’ll find branded stuff at a very cheap stuff but still in good condition.
*sees the ukay-ukay shops and places in Korea* WAIT THAT IS UKAY-UKAY? IT LOOKS LIKE FREAKING BOUTIQUES.
So expensive, here in phil the price for that is only 50 to 100 pesos each..
The ukay ukay here in our place is very cheap. I always go there para abangan yung mga bagong bags kasi nakaka jackpot talaga ako ng mga branded mostly mcm may lv din at ang mura ng bigay kaya madaming nag aabang sa ukayan na un na mga seller. Lagi kaming nag aagawan hehe

hi
best buy for me would be the adidas vintage with trefoil logo you can tell how vintage that is by the logo alone. trefoil logo was introduced as early as 1972 until "at least late 90's. if that shirt is authentic, that should be 30yrs old to date if it was manufactured just before the 3-stripes logo was introduced around 1997-ish
I love watching you both. It seemed no dull moment with you guys.😊
You girls look so pretty when you wear those clothes that you bought. ❤️
it's kinda the same price if you're living in Korea since Korea is 100% more expensive than the Philippines. so if the Adidas purple shirt is 200php, that's just like 100php for the Koreans. Of course, it's expensive for us Filipinos.
Make another vlog on dongmyo flea market.surveying each street and interview people who are buyers and stall.owners too what they sell..mahal sa 200php kasi sa pinas 50 to 10php lang...bagay ang kulay green kasi maputi ka nagshine ang kutis mo na maputi...
Love these two creatures 🤗
Jess is so cute doing the “tawad” , she’s so charming no wonder if the “tindera” would give her discounts 😄
What i like about those clothes in korea is that they are cheap but the material is good. Looks really expensive compared to other countries. That's why korean stuff are flooding the phil. People enjoy buying them.
Unnie's vlog once again! My day is complete ❤️
I really love to shop at ukay-ukay bcoz its very affordable. In 1k you could buy more than 10 clothes. Another is u need more patience in searching nice quality clothes for u not to regret hahaha. And I'm not ashamed that all of my clothes are from ukay-ukay and I all love it.❤🇵🇭
i love the adidas shirt the best then the Obey 2nd , Sylvia's burberry 3rd
Same in our province, how they display and prices, at the same time Sylvia practicing her tagalog.. nakakatuwa😄🙂
Love ukay ukay 2.so many original clothes with cheaper price.proud filipina here...God bless😘
When we buy ukay ukay here in the )hilippines. We dont wear it immidiately. Its either we boil it first or soak it in the luke warm water and rhen wash it with soap with zonrox or chlorox or maybe chlorine. Then wash it and rinse.Dry and iron it cause for all we know maybe i came from a corpse .Just kidding ,its a folklire joke but it maybe true ao we were aware. 🤣🤣🤣✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

For me before shes boring to be with bit her content is so interestin and informative.Bit when I saw her vlog with kikay Sylvia and Krung krung vibes of Moy.Its like I saw the real side of her.She can be ctazy when shes with crazy people.Thogh shes been with Koreans in the Philippines who lived here for a long time like her. Ex. Dasuri,Jinho,Ryan Bang and others .She never showed the other side of her as shes with Sylvia and Moy.I got the feeling maybe shes intimidated cause those can already speak better tagalog than her.Its just my thought.Im sorry Jeaaica.I love you and I know you will not take what I said in heart but thats how I see it. 🤣🤣🤣✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻🙏🙏🙏
I like the Adidas and the Ube long sleeve shirt. 😆
Its called charity shopping in UK. I bought a Burberry trench coat for £50!
i thought the ones that you bought were pretty expensive compared to ukay-ukay here in the Philippines which mostly cost around 100 pesos (1dollar) for 3 tops. Pants mostly cost 100-200 (2-4dollars) per piece. Sometimes there is a sale where it can cost 20 pesos per piece. But I still understand why it is so expensive in Korea. I like the blue obey sweatshirt!!💖💖
Ang Ganda ng YT BANNER ni Jessica "Your Korean Ate " 🇰🇷🇵🇭 awwh.. Kyot. Luv it 💖 #JesSyl 😍

I newly subscribed in your yt channel. I find it interesting to watch every upload, talking tagalog every video is also pleasing to the ears. Keep it up. By the way Maganda lahat ang napili nyo damit. 😊
Ngl, there's no single vlog of jessica that didn't made me laugh. She's entertaining to watch. 💗
You always "TAWAD" whenever you go to ukay-ukay
I am really not sure about this, most product in greenhills are not fakes, they are authentic but those are the one's that got rejected in the factory. Correct me if i'm wrong
Would love to see how Moy reacts to that thrift store place
OMG! A girl who does not like shopping is a one of a kind rare species
I like your sense of style. Casual but cool. I think the obey long sleeve was your best find
Love watching your vlogs♡︎more colab with atee Moy and ate Silvia❤️
I still go thrift shopping in 888 mall!!! They have a new building now, but the old building has the best items
Thrift shops in korea so expensiveee..I bought a high quality tops and is branded for only 10pesos. I only bought good quality of clothes and pants that are below 100pesos...its rare to see high quality clothes in a pile of cheap clothes so u gotta check every corner of the shop/in ukay ukay place
When i went to SoKor last 2018 I bought so many pairs of socks from train stations and side streets because they were so inexpensive 🤣
Jessica’s style is also my style hahaha love those ukay-ukay clothes 👌❤️
I like the Adidas shirt ❤ everthing looks good on you!
Love watching Sylvia in Jessica's vlog lol, sometimes I'm watching Jessica's vlog for Sylvia hahaha 🙈😂😂
0:40 That ukay ukay building is located near my place here in Quezon City
Can you make a video about the crop top controversy in SK?
I really enjoy watching this ladies 😊
That “nabudol ng burberry” hahaha that made my day.
I liked your contests and how you relate it in PH culture.
The Champion one looks great on you. -Kimkim was here
As an avid Ukay fan, this is nice :) I saw some Khiphop artists shop here for a good price lol so i might go here if everything goes well in the world
omg It's the first time I get to catch up jessicaaaaa's vlog this early omg omg
Very Insightful, Jess. I Absolutely Love Your Content, It's SO Penetrating and Fun ~
Omg jessica makes me happy again❤️
I think Ukay-Ukay means hukay hukay because a lot of clothes are in a pile like a mountain and you have to dig through it.
Best pick from you is Obey and Sylvia's Burberry,
looks nice the ukay - ukay clothes in korea, it looks good to both of you.
Ukay ukay (dig dig) cross between a thrift store and 2nd hand store
can i know where is that place here in seoul, so i can visit after the pandemic end
Wow amazing there's an UKAY-UKAY in South Korea 😊
The difference between Korean and Filipino Ukay-ukay shops are the shoplifters and the pickpocketers!!! Haha!!
I didn’t even know there was ukay-ukay in Korea. Really amazed. Thanks Jessica for this video. Btw you look good in the O.B.E.Y shirt. Also Sylvia in her Burberry
2:37 narinig ko yung kanta ni IU na through the night 🥰
Wow ukay ukay in Korea is much better than here' in the Philippines very authentic and original branded both vintage and latest fashion are much more complement to wear like retrospect i love it
