After the end of PCP, if we give the car back, what happens to the deposit?

@gameofreviews You don't get it back unfortunately. Unless the car is worth more than what you've paid this the only time there could be any money to come back to you and that is still probably less than what you paid as a deposit. That said this is very rare.

In both scenarios, is the interest paid is equal or it differs in terms of PCP and HP? I mean for example you pay 15k total for a 10k car. Will that be same for both options?

@Sunnyangusyoung Hi there good question! The interest will differ between agreement types. You'll typically find a HP will have a higher APR with a PCP a lower APR. Always look at the variable APR too you'll see the ad may have 9.9% on a HP agreement but after fees you then have a variable APR of something like 14.9% so also double check 👍🏻

The vehicle is registered in finance company's in both the cases? Even for HP?

So I have a PCP agreement with a millage cap of 36750. I feel I could go over this limit and it’s 9p per mile, BUT I plan on paying the final ballon payment at the end so do I need to work about the millage? Please help. I’m tearing my hair out. I don’t want to be charge two sets of charges

Hi Kev, it's quite likely that you will be charged the mileage fee as the final payment is calculated on the mileage limit on the agreement term. This is because the car may have slightly less value due to the extra mileage. That said used car values are very high at the moment so there is every chance that your car is worth a lot more than what was originally thought at the start of the agreement meaning this could off set the mileage fees. When is your agreement due to end and how many miles do you think you will go over?

You are always the registered keeper of a vehicle not the owner. The manufacturer certificate of origin is what you need and the corrupt DVLA corporation keep it hidden from you.
