One thing to notice about them, try to understand how old they are. Most I have seen are like a decade old. Lack of mobile phones, older tech for customs control. Just while watching try to understand that some things might not be the same nowadays. It is a shame that the video description does not clarify it. Some episodes show specific countries in bad light, but times have changed.

I looked over at 3 customs officials who were staring at me and not anyone else, I looked away and looked back and they were still staring. A guilty conscience or drugs can also make people very nervous! An agent has no way of telling from your face if you have a depressive disorder or a guilty conscience or are affected by drugs so you will be stopped and questioned. For the record, I have generalized anxiety disorder and have lived through a lot of panic attacks. I don't expect anybody but myself to know about my condition. Yes, I've been pulled over and questioned but I don't see it as evidence of the world being uncaring.

I can relate to the nervous guy. Any time I get pulled over I am the same way and many times my nervous condition has led to my car being searched. I don't do drugs and never drink and drive, but I'm well aware the power that these people have and how quickly someone could end my life as I know it. It's much easier to appear confident and collected when your interactions with people outside your social circle are scheduled meetings, where you have adequate time to prepare.

They have to do this and profile people to catch actual smugglers otherwise it would be impossible to do so. It’s better to be safe and check everything then be sorry later when you find out they were bringing thousand of dollars so the of Durga. There we so many people caught with a lot a lot of drugs in them that were 1st “pulled over” because they acted nervous, imagine they would’ve let them go out just because “well people are nervous some times” .. they can’t know, they have to check or else they don’t know.

I would say this was filmed a decade ago or somewhere like that. Times were different. The customs officer who is at 21:00 mark had to handle someone's dirty underwear in one of the episodes and she did not use the gloves either. As far as I know, now the requirement is to use gloves for the customs officer safety.

Leaving home is literally like walking into a taxi and driving off. Customs in ur own country doesn't check ur bags, they just tag them and load them onto the plane. They don't even tell you when going thru duty free what ur limits are based on ur destination. So it's easy to leave. Customs when you land is the nightmare you have to deal with. They have the right to tell you that you can't enter and to search you for anything but you always have the right to leave home and go about ur business.
