Their album with Shoop, Whatta a Man, and Let's Talk About Sex on it is still one of my favorite ALBUMS. Aaaaaall the songs on there 👍
Often referred to by their honorific title, "The First Ladies of Rap & Hip-hop, they brought so much energy & fun to the 80's!! I love DJ Spinderella on the turntable! Check out these hits: 🌟Shoop 🌟Whatta Man 🌟Let's Talk About Sex

Man this was so huge back in the day ! They really had us American kids jammin
You should react to Cameo - "Word Up" from 1986 since that song is catchy and it has a great beat and rhythm to the song. Many people love this song and I know you will enjoy listening and reacting to it.

"Candy" also.... That was my song I did sit-ups to for years. It has the perfect beat for it! I love when he says "YES I DO". 🤣 His voice is so unique. It's been sampled by everyone from 2Pac to Mariah Carey and is in so many movies. 🔥

@@jennhurl Yes, Candy is a great song by Cameo also and the video for the song is great as well. They also had the songs - Single Life and She's So Strange. But "Word Up" and "Candy" are their 2 most popular ones.

Great song. I sing all day after hearing it.
You should react to En Vogue with Salt n Pepa "Whatta Man". Another good one from Salt n Pepa is "Shoop".
Salt & Pepa was my jam back in the day. They were definitely the first ladies of rap ans hip hop!! You gotta chrck.out their song "Shake Your Thang".
Have seen them twice in concert with New Kids on the Block and they lead into this with Step by Step…… they are great
Classic! I know every word!!!Your mom has good taste!
Yeah LONG before the modern women in rap/hip hop that everyone knows these days, there was Salt-N-Pepa. They certainly weren't the only women in rap at the time but they were a level above most artist of the time, men or women. This song was everywhere and it made them huge stars.
It's a recap to this song call shake it salt and pepper was hot in there time
I agree with Ken 55,these two songs were a big part of my childhood, among many others as I grew up through the eighties!💖💖💖
There were only men doing rap then came these ladies and queen latifah.this was the first single we got in the UK.i have there album assalt with a deadly pepa.
If you're going down this type of route, check out Shoop, Whatta Man, Let's Talk About Sex and None of Your Business. All super popular Salt n Pepa songs from over the years.

Great suggestions!! 👍 I love when Rico & Crys react to old school hip-hop. It's fun seeing them discover the roots. Salt-N-Pepa were a blast.

Yes!! Loving all these suggestions 👍👍👍
Yeah, no. This song had one and only meaning and it's wasn't about a baby coming out. It was about a baby going in. This song is how Salt -n-Pepa announced themselves and it was loved by all of us. This was my high school years so you can imagine what the school dances were like. Actually it was a very dance-y time. There were several dances of that era (the wop, the cabbage patch, the running man, etc.) but mostly I was always trying to emulate the choreography in the videos. You already know the 80s were great for music but this was around the time where it started to change from Synthpop and Rock to Rap and Heavy Metal dominating the charts. This was the height of artists partying hard and groupies and everything. Soon the tone would change because of AIDS and most music got serious-er. You could still depend on Madonna to be pervy tho.

This song was released in the midst of the aids panic that was the early/ mid ‘80’s, aids was in the news for years before this song

@@karengoodenough827 AIDS was in the news for sure but people weren't changing for a while. It was the Rock Hudson story that made it a big deal.
This was on the "pregame" mixed tape before the club back in the day!
Saw these live when i was 17. 1987 😉
"Pushing out a baby" 🤣 I'm 💀💀💀!! OMG I would have murdered my husband if he would have sang this!! 🤣

Agreed!
This brings me waaaaaay back. This was HUGE in the clubs, on the street, on every radio station, every where you went. These are the OG women speaking about taboo things, in the best way possible. Get into more of their music, you’ll love it!
Alright! We goin old school this morning 🌞✌️
The TV show Chuck used it that way (for childbirth), it was hilarious…
The 80s is my favorite decade. Such great music, movies, and all-around pop culture. So much positive energy, I feel bad that the younger generations couldn't experience it. Ya'll would have a better outlook on life if you could sample the whole 80s vibe firsthand.
Great reaction check out MC Hammer "Can't touch this" Mark Wahlberg song "Good Sensation" when he was Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch and Will Smith as Fresh Prince and Dj Jazzy Jeff

I remember being little little and watching this video on MTV with my mom in the late 80s 😂
I loved these ladies back in the day. I am pretty sure I made up a dance routine to this song when I was 12. ha ha
Remember this in the clubs!I'm probs around yr mums age lol xx
Huge Huge hit in the Netherlands. Nothing else on the radio back than 🙄😄 Fun song. 👊😁❤
Def a big hit in Norway at the time. Made me get into hip hop in general, their influence should not be frowned upon
One of the first females rappra that opened the door for a lot of women to come after them ! This was a great album Lord I'm old !! Lol
Thanks for your reaction! This was such a favorite back when it came out in the 80's because there were not many female rap artists at the time and they kind of represented female empowerment. Fitness centers for woman were becoming increasingly popular and they were all playing this song for exercise routines. I remember how even our mothers and grandmothers like this song and would bop when they heard it. Don't worry about your comment in the beginning about delivering a baby as this song was frequently played in the delivery rooms at the time.
Dancing was the thing period, Back then
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Back then, this was so lit. We had never heard anything like Push It. Salt n Pepa's first hit.
You should never be ashamed to be excited about any music! We all love music others think aren't good! Stay excited man!

80's was the best music decade ever
I was 16 when this came out lol I’m 52 and love them!!
🔥S&P We, yes, me too, used to dress like them! lol I had their first album on cassette tape. Hot Cool and Vicious and single The Show Stopper which was like a response to Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick's song The Show!
This was the ringtone on my phone for years!! Lol. Such a great song! 💕💕💕💕
Your mom has got to be amazing!!! Between the way she raised you and her taste in music I love her already lol!!
The real Queens of Rap !! Love them!! ohhh the memories from my teens, such great times!!
Salt. N. Pepa ❣️❣️❣️ I always wanted to be the White Spinderella 🤩
They are powerful women confident in their abilities. I believe the song is about them taking charge of their own sexuality. I do not understand why some men fear strong women.
React to Dj jazzy Jeff and the fresh prince "Brad new funk"
More woman rappers Check MC Lyte "Lyte as a Rock or Ruffneck" Also Queen Latifah " U-N-I-T-Y"
Absolute classic!!!!!
You gotta do Supersonic by J.J. Fad next. That was lit!🔥 I've known this song since high school and never knew what's being pushed. Then some commenters let me know and yeah, it's supposed to be what you think it is and can't be mentioned cause it's dirtayyyy.😁

Check out JJ Fad..super sonic.. Oak Town 357..juicy..and Mc Shy D..comon shake it..all old school bangers from the days 🔥
They were innovators......... At that time it wasn't any Female MCs getting shine😮...... But they come out hard, spitting from the females' perspective.... They were some of the FIRST
Late 80s and early 90s rappers would perform. Dance while rapping.🔥🔥🔥
you got great salt n pepa watch
Know every word to this one too!!
great song for dancing. in both senses ..
Loved dancing to this song. 😍
TLC “Waterfalls”

80’s Baby and Bring Back the Time with NKOTB, they’ve toured together pre pandemic and back this year
Yes you are correct. On the push, it good 😝
Yeah man I was six years old when it came out 80's and 90's a lot of popping and breakdancing I thank God that I saying that error then how the music is now there's some good artists nowadays nowadays about money and girls it was like that back in the day but not as much back then it was more about represent where you from songs had meanings like storytelling to hear it if you keep hearing old school music you will start to see the difference that's how I got into the 80s 70 music my mom playing it Marvin Gaye Al Green Smokey Robinson The Gap Band Lionel Richie s.o.s. band guy with Teddy Riley like I said before keep doing your searching bro peace and wellness to you and your family🙌💪
Man this is a major classic. Def react to salt. N pepa video whatta man feat envougue
S n P are the 💣
Oh we knew how to Cook in the 80's the nightclubs til 5am then straight off to work. There was only one meaning to this song, about getting the baby in, not getting a baby out🤣😂😅 And mention must be made of "Spinderella" on the decks
You should look into TLC I think you would love them too
REACT TO SALT-N-PEPA DO YOU REALLY WANT ME
Try salt-,peppa " shoop"
I am the body beautiful by Salt N Pepa would be good to react to.
1986, I just turned 21 but had been club in since I was 16, I must of danced with a dozen different women to this song, not going to add anything else but this is lit. Nice reaction. 👍
Cette chanson c'est mon enfance j'adooore 😊🌹 Bon choix 👍🙂 il y a aussi "let's talk about sex baby" qui est bien de pepa 🙃
Shoop by Salt n peppa and free your mind by envogue
We'd hit the floor so fast when this beat would start!! 🔥 Try Salt-N-Pepa and EnVogue "Whatta Man" uh huh!!" 🔥🔥
🔥
If you’re not familiar with the song, you really should react to Shoop. These ladies rap game was strong!! In my opinion they were much better than the majority of female rap artist today. 😎🌺
The best dance song!!
Think they're probably talking about the bit BEFORE you get to the pushing out the baby ! lol
You have to react to En Vogue “Free Your Mind”. It’s amazing!! 🤘🏻❤️
We had real dance music 😂😂
salt n pepper and this song was in a gecko insurance commercial a few years ago
SHOOP!! Check it out!! 🔥🔥
None of Your Business is one to check out!
they used their sexiness with a whole lot of more class than female "rappers" out today and actually were great rappers and their in the top 50 greatest rappers list , male or female
