This time pattern has changed for jnu... Jnu offers a limited course of science... You can check from the jnu website... See the previous year papers of entrance examination... And syllabus... Book lists are available on internet... You can check them... But just be limited

Bedanta mra IR hai... As you said ki is time se entrance mcq hoga to we also don't know ki kya hoga paper m... But read terms of history both ancient and medieval focus till 1857 revolt...be aware of important current affairs like climate change and protocols... Iske alawa be aware of little bit of economics like functions of RBI fiscal system etc... Iske alawa theories and authors name their famous books and statements

Changing subjects doesn't help if the criteria is same... However it depends how comfortable you are in that subject... Btw I am going to start a course on political science from 10th July so you can have a look at that.

Ankita I am a lecturer in Political Science at present and I have qualified JRF in Dec 2014. As far as my experience is concerned, the best part of NET exam is that there is no backlash in it if u commit 20-30 percent mistakes means no negative marking for wrong responses. Secondly it is not like Bank PO exam where we concerntrate on some specific areas and it is done, it needs accumulated knowledge and extensive study. Thirdly it depends upon ur ability how u able to relate the theory with day-to-day life, means practice and moreover, what u explained like we need conceptual clarity and fact based substances. What u have suggested is definitely helpful.
