Most people don't know how Uganda is made up...let me just show you how NRM wins,,,,Uganda has 72,000 villages and for each village there are 48 NRM leaders that translates into more than 3,000,000 people now if every one of those is tasked to encourage just 4people to vote for Mzee you do your math and remember registered voters are just 18 million plus that leaves just about 5million for the opposition...of course am not saying that all 18 million will come out to vote but either way the NRM wins..so all you dreamers keep naapppiiing...this is NRM /Museveni country...

As much as I admire his style of pacifism and doing things just with the support of the people and by the letter of the law, he really needs some armed group on his side, if only for protection and not conceding the monopoly of force to his authoritarian opponent. Or at the very least use diplomacy to form alliances and have the support of other neighboring countries and their militaries, which might also dissuade the Ugandan government from so brazenly abusing it's powers against the main opposition presidential candidate. He has the support of the vast majority of the population, but without other allies who have power and/or military force he won't get anywhere I'm afraid.
