Sister, our ancestors and us continues to oppose instructions/laws that was given to us for our longevity, prosperity, and protection. One such command, is not to let strangers/heathens rule over us, or place engraved imagies aka statues on our lands. In stating all that, The Most High gave us free will, and with those freedom comes responsibilities. In closing, we were told every man/woman is responsible for their own sins aka actions, so it's incumbent on us to change our actions, so we can get better outcomes.

There are many women who love being home taking care of the children, I did so and loved doing it, but there are men who do not value the work of a woman who remains home to care for the family. They become embolden to believe “I am the one who works and I make the decisions “ not desiring input from the woman at home.

Being a black American woman I think black woman get this stereotype of being overly sexualized. All black American women are not the same as I’m sure all African women are not the same. Your discussion was a very good one. Our culture in the US is completely different than African women's culture in Africa . We are taught at a young age to be independent and not to rely on a man. You have a lot of unmarried black women in the US. The values and morels in men are different in the US. Women don’t feel the respect here from men as they may feel in Africa. This is my opinion and other black American women may feel differently.

I am from Ghana and moved to America when I was 5. I have lived here for over 20 years and these ladies have no idea what kind of pandoras box they are opening by trying to be like black American women. I understand that they don't want to be looked down upon by men in their culture, but there needs to be a compromise between the two parties and not women just claiming freedom and running off in a different direction than the men. They have no idea how expensive it is to live in America because everyone has to work. When you double the work force, everyone makes less money. I would love to be able to be a stay at home wife and focusing on home schooling our kids instead of both of us working just to make ends meet. It's a long rat race and the only ones who win are the wealthy.

There are great points to draw from this interview. Feminism is not going anywhere. It’s here to remain because women want POWER just like men. I have three daughters. I am not teaching them to be a feminist. I want them to understand that we (men and women) are different and we play different roles. As a team, even while playing different roles, we can live in harmony. That’s the way the Universe intended us to be.

It’s not about wanting power. 6,0000 women are killed by their boyfriends and husbands a year in USA, 150,000 children are sold to porn, and sex trafficking by bad immoral men, right now Iran is on fire many people protesting in the street due to the death of a young woman only 23 years old by police because she did not wear her head scarf. Women want respect and protection. In Ghana young sisters are forced at certain universities to give male professors sex to get could grades. If you are beaten by your husband no police or male person in the family will come to her stop it. This has been going on for years. Two African American women were beheaded fighting in arguments with land guards in Ghana because they refuse to give them chop chop or dash cash. Why didn’t Go Black interview African women working in construction, corporate, Banking, Business, House wives, A woman going through divorce women fighting with one or two sister wives in the same house hold. I am proud to be a womanist and feminist and we do not hate men. The silly stuff about lifting a heavy sofa, or holding open the door is a insult. Why do you think a lot of women are forced to work. Go Back and read the slave narratives after they came out of slavery. Those Black women up still now had to work much much longer and harder long before the feminist movement due to racism. It was not a choice. Our grandmothers had to cook, cleaning domestic work, had to crawl on their needs, for white woken to keep their very large families from starvation . Who do you think kept things going when the KKK lynched our male folk? Who supported non busing, boycotting with Martin Luther King? Who supported the Black Panthers. Stop blaming sisters for white males BS. Who is still fighting and documenting the abuse in prison black women. I could go on and on . Yes you need to raise your daughter to demand respect. Right now women in Japan suffer sexual abuse and are choosing not to marry because they watch their mothers suffer and commit divide in some cases. In Iran, in Hawaii sisters are homeless and landless due to white wealthy males, from Indonesia’s, to Italy, to China, women are catching hell! Beatings on a daily bases. In Uganda they interviewed 25 men they said it we must beat our wives to keep them in line. Most of the filmed interviews were men under 35 years old. In Mali, Senegal and Nigeria some men not only continue to control their wives money, movement, and some still cut off the clitoris. I will not go on but the sex markets of Malaysia’s biggest economy is sex with small children. In Russia women are forced to use birth control by only abortion. In Somalian women can get ganged raped by a fractional tribal leader politically fighting his opponent. And you say we do not need a movement Aw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God spiritually is also female you will never never have peace and harmony in the universe when you disrespect the mother and even mother earth giving birth to substance life is the ancient symbol of a woman . Such fools some of you are. Half the world’s corrupt would end if men understood the balance of twinness! You must rule beside us not behind or in front but together. Sorry typing fast, i meant to say some in Japan are taught not divide but use death as away to end pain and abuse from their husbands if their husbands demand a divorce. Even if it’s not their fought. Say if he wants a new fresh wet youthful new bride, to than replace the old wife even if she still cooks for him. Same true in some corners of Pakistani men. They sat their wife’s on fire some of them to show her shame and embarrassment in front of the entire community. Then replace her in some cases with a child bride. They even exchange insurance police’s and bride prices between families. Of course some will say do not analysis other cultures. But in America’s past history your husband could give you a infection and put you in a insane hospital against your will. Take control of your kids , inheritance all of your cash, laws set in place to stop a woman from owning land, and blocking women or rather white women from getting custody of their children. Some Black women in the Deep South and past history in USA could not do certain legal things without their Black male folks permission, just look it up it’s in the history legal documents for research. Today some women loose their memories and end up in nursing homes against their will while in some cases the husbands then take over her bank account and move in the new lover, girlfriend, new to be wife, or worst some have sex with their caregiver of their wife. Legal power of Attorney problems are real!!!!! This is not about , oh I married a boy not a man. People change over time in a marriage of 25 or 5o years. Greed, selfishness, and the ability to no longer in some cases giving your partner sex after getting sick can be the case. And this can happen to men too, not just women. Life is complex and so are most people.

What I'd noticed here is that no one is talking over each other. They're all listening while each makes their points before they comment. They don't do that over here anymore. Both sides have valid points. Culture is a big thing over there that will dictate how the women per those African countries will gravitate towards what they see over here. Understandable. It's like seeing women over in Afghanistan dealing with the conditions over there. The problem isn't about wanting change. The problem is the toxicity of that coming from here in the States. "GO BLACK TO AFRICA", gave some examples. And the LGBTQ community is a prime example next to white feminist. And it's feminist that has opened pandoras box for the transgender community where they will fight for that same equality. And many feminist are not happy with it. But they fail to accept that thry created that Frankenstein that has backfired on them.

Sisters you cannot do both work and raise a family. You can't do both of them well. One need to be there for the child. My husband was the smart one well read. I was the one that was the go-getter. We worked it out. We was married 11 years and then decided to have a child. When he got hurt on his job. He stayed home and homeschooled our daughter. I went out and worked. You just cannot do both well. if you are out there working and your husband is out there working. There's no one raising the child but the streets. Somebody needs to be at home when the child just need someone to talk to not a babysitter Plus someone might be beating on your child and you will not find out until years later most of the time. one has to stay home and take care of home. that's the way I see it. We made decisions together on everything. I was raised in the family where my mom yelled and screamed and beat me. my husband was raised the same. that's the way it was then. but my husband said we were not going to do that to our daughter. we were going to make her a thinker. and that's exactly what we did no bathing no yelling. if I was mad at her when she was a teenager my husband told me to come to him and he would talk to her. and he told her the same thing if she was mad at me come to him and he would talk to me. that helped me get through her teenage years. like I said it takes both parents.

Luckily for India, Rajiv Malhotra spotted this effort in his country and actually pinpointed it to a Texan organization and called them out. They've been eyeing the strong woman objective but not the title of strong FAMILIES. This is the power of INFLUENCE, the culture is no longer defining itself but has allowed OTHERS to do so and as usual, it ALWAYS does more HARM than good. We have to realize the ONLY reason OTHER women can be demanding to be equals with their men was the fact they TRADITIONALLY were treated with scant regard(unlike the experience of women on the continent pre-colonial era); plus in order for you to fight for wealth/prosperity there must be a source/market. The continent and her children have ALWAYS been the source of wealth/market for EVERYONE and doing anything to cause the PEOPLE TO REALIZE AND CORRECT THAT wouldn't suite those BENEFITTING. So, instead, the PEOPLE are being further DIVIDED/CONFUSED to embrace things they could SIMPLY EXAMINE is nonsensical and guarantees the further breakdown and destruction of an already struggling continent/culture. It is of utmost importance for the PEOPLE to NEVER BE ALLOWED TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES as that would make them see the games played on them and the bag of rubbish they're choosing over something tangible as the continent and enduring as the culture they're giving up. The reason the ancestors placed those guidelines/rules were to keep away from temptations and situations which would destroy the famiky/society they spent 1000 000s of years fixing instead of REINVENTING THE WHEEL THE GENERATION IS UP TO TODAY.

They are purposely missing it. These guys here want to have it both ways and the Duke especially wants to change the narrative, better yet keep the old non functioning mind set of tug of war that too many men want to keep going b/c then they do not have to pay do diligence to upgrading especially their mindset! All that really needs to turn this whole mess around is for the men to step up and concentrate on being the best man he can be for his own secure self worth. This is the thing. What if the upstanding confident man do when he is rejected by a clown of a women? He instinctively walks off/moves on;no need to ask her anything else! Don’t try to convince her your the guy for her! Don’t broad cast your rejection to other men, just know the clown idiot did you a favor and learn to receive that rejection as a blessing from further negative involvement with her & others like her. Don’t waste positive energy! Let clowns be clowns; not your job to straighten her out! If men work on themselves trust good women won’t be sooo hard to find! The clowns will take notice and some will even change if the real men continue to past them up for the woman who is ALSO working to be her best! For men & women if you aren’t respected right out of the gate…………keep it moving!!! That’s not the one!

How the women liberation of women in America have ruined the family. If you are also going to idealize marriage, and bring up the topic of women getting married less, then you should also bring the high domestic violence cases that have driven a lot of African women to not wanting to marry, nor submit to a man. Oshay is also bringing African American views. A lot of African men and women are still getting married because they value marriage and family, unlike African American (men) culture. In Africa, a household where both the man and woman work is normal because child care and house help is cheap (so the challenges you bring up does not apply or rather it applies to those living in the village). A household where both couples work is the norm and is needed to make ends meet. Look at all the African female nurses in the USA, a lot of them are in their 60s, a clear show that women have been working for ages in Africa. STOP BRING (APPLYING) AFRICAN AMERICAN IDEOLOGIES AND CHALLENGES TO AFRICA.

These broad statements to describe what Black Women want ignores a large portion of us who do not fit these narratives. I am not a feminist, I am a womanist with no need to be "equal" to a man when I fully embrace my power as a woman. It is about people who can fully respect one another. You have to have self love and treat yourself the way you want to be treated. You should not want more than you are willing to give on either side. You should share values and plans for growing together throughout life.

Sister's, our ancestors and us continues to oppose instructions/laws that was given to us for our longevity, prosperity, and protection.

Women are your nurtures ,mother ,grandmother aunties holding the family together. When the Man is right in the house offering very little. The Women has to run the hold SHOW not necessarily because she wants to its because the challenge is place in front of her.

Women must do what they want. Men must stay out of it. Also if you are looking for a pre-colonial Africa, IT IS GONE, ALL GONE.
