This movie is very important because it is an early attempt at "Disclouser." As a docudrama from 1956, many of the actors are really people who experienced the events they talk about. Some kid troll who was not alive at the time, posted that the jet airplane that shot a piece of "pure" magnesium claimed that pure magnesium was to (weak) fragile to be part of the Flying Saucer. Frist, the report was in a newspaper, so the source was not a technical metallurgy assay. Secondly, who knows how seriously the metal analysis was taken. Fourth, both the film and the assay had government approval and probably wanted to keep the complete metal an analysis a secret. I am 82 years old. I was in third grade when the Flying saucers invasion happened and saw it on a little black & white television...The US military said it was a "heat inversion," street and vehicle lights reflected off of Washington DC "hot air."
