You know your listening to a great band when they sound just as good as their recordings. Great vocals, and very clean guitar work..Now this is what Hard Rock should sound like!!! Im 47 and this still gets my HEADBANGING!!

Love how you never see Michael's face clearly during the solo. He was truly a man of mystery! Did anyone notice that Phil skipped ahead a verse at 1:23 but corrects himself. Didn't ever notice Paul Raymond was a lefty either. Awesome!

First heard/played this band's stuff wayyyyy back in the 80's, had to ad-be the solo. Still can't touch that Schenker guy. He did a great service both with UFO and with his brother in the Scorpions back in the day... Thanks for a GREAT video. What a phenom/underated axeman.

He was with the Scorpions at that age, not UFO. He didn't join UFO until he was 18. Listen to the album Lonesome Crow for his leads when he was 16.

Just me thinking here, the "Lights Out' album came out in '77, a year before Van Galen's debut did. From all I've read and heard over 40+ years, quite a few great guitarists were intimidated by Eddie. With all due respect to Eddie, and he's one of my all-time favorites, I seriously doubt Michael was intimidated at all! This is my long-winded way of saying that Michael didn't play 2nd to anybody. IMO, he's as good a rock guitarist as anybody and better than most!

Who has more emotion, feel, melodic, tone, vibrato, and memorable leads? Schenkers songs with UFO are brilliant, full of emotion. The recordings don't lie. Stranger in the Night is one of the top 3 live hard rock albums of the 70's. Easy. Vinnie Moore, please, insignificant.

i was lucky enough to see them 4 times in Concert. The first concert they were backup to Blue Oyster Cult in OKC and I had 2nd row seats but the way the seats were positioned I was standing right under Michael Schenker with his signature flying V. What a treat and I have been a fan ever since. I believe the year was 1978 or 79?
