I'm a die-hard fan of Valentina and I wanted her to win but the fact is she couldn't knock Amanda out and it was for the championship so Valentina lost. In order to win the championship Valentina has to KO her opponent rather having a draw game. Amanda is a beast for sure.

@@pashaw8380 That wasn't a draw though, and she doesn't have to knock her opponent out to win. But there is a rule that you have to clearly beat a champion to win, and that rule gives the champion a huge advantage that I find retard.

@@tinaruzol7256 Amanda didn't win that fight. She ran out of gas in the last rounds and that is why she went for clinch and takedown, but she couldn't do much and even that wasn't enough to win. There wasn't any significant strike in Valentina left sheen, the blood can be because nails.

Se fueron a puntos por los jueces aún que Amanda no conectaba tan fuerte como Valentina, cada golpe y patada al estómago contaba puntos, Valentina conectaba golpes mas fuertes pero Amanda conectaba mas puntos en cada oportunidad que tenía.

This is the problem with how much weight is given to takedowns when scoring these rounds. Valentina clearly won the fight, but they would score the take down that Nunes did nothing with as higher than all of Valentina's strikes.

The issue is the inconsistency. They’ll score biasly on takedowns here, but when yan took O’Malley down over and over they gave it to O’Malley. I would very much appreciate some consistency

judges you mean? yea they need to figure out a much better ranking system. like rank a few categories 1 out of 5 and the winner has the highest number. punches/ kicks thrown and landed, damage taken (physical look at end) takedowns/ride time/escapes, activity/passivity(who was more aggressive). thats just spitballing but i think its a much better system that wouldnt need judges tbh just math lol

I agree that Valentina did a number on Amanda from round 2 onwards, even during the takedown she did more damage. But it was a tactical fight, most of it was pretty even. Against a champion if you can't KO you need to win clearly, you can't bet on initiative or 10% more landed strikes, no judges are gonna crown a champion by split decision. Awesome fight, no matter the scoring.

I always thought that in such competitions the participants compete to see who can hit the other person in the head the most times. Here are Shevchenko's hits in the standing position: 10:55; 13:22; 14:21; 14:37; 15:57; 17:53 double; 18:42 double; 19:56; 20:42 double; 22:55 three. And on the floor the situation has not changed: 27:07 three. . Can someone give the timing of Nunes' hits? I didn't see a single hit! Why could she be recognized as a winner?

Shevchenko won this fight. It was a close fight but Amanda didn’t do anything with those take downs. Stop giving her credit. She literally received elbows and ate some punches while being on top. Take downs shouldn’t be accounted for if you do nothing with them. I wouldn’t say Valentina won 4-1 but definitely 3-2.

This was an easy clear victory for Valentina. She didn't destroy Nunez or anything but just won easily.
