If thinking these cards are garbage is being a “casual” then I think khabib is the goat of all MMA, that mcgregor could KO Islam and Leon on the same night (he actually would quote me) and that Nate Diaz doesn’t lose fights he just “runs out of time”

I used to be able to name every fighters last few opponents on fight nights, even prelim fighters. At this point I look at the main event and don’t even know or care who they are. The quality of cards has tanked horribly in the last few years.

(YAPPING) The UFC ARE doing it on purpose but they aren't doing it to starve us for 304. imo they're doing it because they can and because they almost have to. Since they signed to ESPN, 2 things happened, they got given a fuck ton of money and part of their contract is to do weekly cards, and so what happened is that they got rich and lazy, the UFC already had a monopoly on MMA so the ESPN deal just tightened their grip, allowing them to be lazy. So now what they do is they throw together weekly apex slop where they throw their lowest level fighters/mid unranked fighters on these cards to satisfy their contracts and since ESPN pay them a set amount just to put on a weekly card the UFC don't care about the quality. Also, since 90% of fans don't care about MMA outside the UFC they're either going to tune in to that card or just not watch an MMA event that week, how many people do you think are going to say "hey man UFC sucks this week but LFA are having an event." This is just the sad state of the UFC nowadays and I think them getting lazy is going to cost them down the line.
