I don’t think it’s that they want to minimize him, but rather recognize him as the best that a Muslim fighter has to offer. He’s an amazing fighter who, as a Muslim, has gotten so far while maintaining his faith. He done it regardless of how many zeros he sees in his bank account. To the Muslim people he’s the representative that you would want as a global fighter. This coming from someone who has no faith in any religion. He truly is an amazing person who happens to be a fighter.

Diego is a living legend that doesn't get the respect he deserves. Just think for yourself he was the one that competed and won TUF #1 and still going. I just hope when he retired that it goes well with him, he might be going to need therapy living the sport..

@@coolcat7131 he lost my respect when he quit against pereira. He was clearly losing and took the easy win via disqualification. I believe it was a kick against a grounded opponent but that was not intended. Sanchez even asked the ref if he wins when he quits and then he quit.

I was raised Catholic and am agnostic / not religious Not to equate all religions, but there are great people of all religions who epitomize their religion’s core principles, and there are evil people of all religions who manipulate the masses and hide behind their religion to justify their evils. He is humble about his accomplishments thanking everyone before himself. Arrogance is shown mostly during fight conferences where you need to show. Post fight guy hugs the loser and commends him and praises him. What the fuck is humble in your dictionary? Saying i am not a champ? Saying i didnt win?
