I started making videos this year because I just like talking about MMA but it takes time to just study the match ups and set up/edit the videos... Nevermind this! Can't imagine the amount of time to run these models, I try to study as much tape as possible and since I watch every event I have a pretty good read on most people on the roster.. but lately so many new fighters I have to rely on different ways of familiarizing myself with these people lol 😂 love the channel man!!

How do you run Gatto and Dudakova through a simulator? Like how accurate are these things? Feel like they cant be, since every fighter is unique and how do you even encompass level of competition, experience, those are the most difficult factors to really map out....Very intriguing thought, but for instance, you ended up with Dudakova, but she fought nobody, and performed poorly, how did the model then conclude with her? That doesnt even fit from a stat standpoint? Confusing

Models use all of the stats that are available, but what you’re referring to is more qualitative information rather than quantitative (e.g., quality of competition, experience, etc). So you’re right, and that’s why I have two probabilities- a model weighted probability, which tells viewers what the statistical analysis shows, then I consider the qualitative information you mentioned and more, to get to a final probability. So although the models combined together to give Dudakova a 59% probability, I knew that was way too high and I knocked that down because of factors like you mentioned

@@bamuz Good question! I track my picks and I’m averaging 70% accuracy for the last 7 months. Pretty consistent results, I don’t think other KZreadrs track their picks at all. I’m thinking about adding another video to my weekly uploads, one where I talk about potential underdogs (which ones have the highest likelihood of pulling off an upset) and worthwhile favorites (not too expensive, not too risky)

Why did you say Fiorot cant outstrike Blanchfield?

Great question - they have about the same average number of strikes landed per minute but Fiorot is 13% less accurate. And even though she’s taller, she has a slightly shorter reach, plus she’s 10 years older which all leads me to believe she won’t be able to out strike Blanchfield

I respect Fiorot’s skills, I’m just factoring in her age, stats, etc to form a prediction for this fight. Just giving an opinion at the end of the day, we won’t always agree and that’s okay, I’m trying to provide everyone stats, prediction model results, and picks

@@MMADataGuy i mean if u watch the fights u can see that striking betwin erin and fiorot is a big gap, same goes for ground game, one is good where the other is not. But when it comes to striking we have a clear path here. Fiorot is a LEGIT boxer with very good combos and erin is a basic striker with mostly 1-2 and thats it.Time will tell and soon we will know but its kinda clear that ERIN wont win a striking battle here

@@LokyDayMMA I think it’s poor wording on my end more than anything. You’re right, I should’ve instead said Fiorot is capable of out striking Blanchfield, but perhaps not to the point where she can get the finish. I did say Blanchfield wins by decision or submission, not KO/TKO so I think we have some general common ground here. Regardless, hoping for a good fight and I appreciate your feedback

what your model does not show on Blanchfield vs Fiorot is the gross difference in female fighters when one is pumped full of steroids and one does not take them. It was VERY clear. Imagine if Erin starts to take some type of PED like pretty much every other female fighter does. That added strength will make her almost unstoppable. She just could not get past the obvious man strength of Manon when trying to take her down. They really need to crack down harder in PEDs in MMA...its rampant.

Manon is just too good, too big, and too strong for Blanchfield. I don’t see how anyone thought that fight was going against Manon. Do you have any evidence she is taking PED’s? I’m assuming they’re all taking blood tests
